Well, I was aspiring to type lot of story but my trip was quite short and simple than expected. No much questioning at allll. Airline: Egyptair Time: 14:00 on 2nd of May 2022
I got to Airport at 9am to avoid crowd ahead of travel time. I was the second person attended to for boarding pass. Baggage: 29kg and 30km Hand luggage: 12kg

It was more. So we sha added all of them to the bags since I've paid. Lot of milk, fish and food items. Document requested: ArriveCan, Vaccination card, Passport then Got my boarding pass.
I waited with my family for pictures till 12noon before moving in. Advice, Avoid crowdy entry. A friend here told me to go through Gate E which I did. Very simple. Immigration passed me quickly without much questioning. The man was gisting with me sef giving me the right pronunciation of Toronto that I will blend soon. He checked the Acceptance letter and stamped me.
Money declaration man, He got interested in me that I paid full tuition fee (Big Boy) then We started family gist ooo when I said I am not a big boi. That it is Owo omo oni iru, omo alata, lol. At some point I was avoiding his gist but He was loving it, discussing with a young man about Life. He eventually said Good luck out there, Off you go.

Ate 3 meals before morning, They have amazing movies. All great. I made an Egypt-Canadian friend on the plane (Husband and Wife) They were awesome. watched same movies, Ate same meal as they were so cool.
Arrived Canada 1:48pm Nigerian time (8:48am Canadian time). Note: Kindly fill your declaration form online before leaving Nigeria to save you stress. Went to self-declaration machine to scan my passport and I got my ticket once under 20secs.
First level asked me for passport and declaration ticket then Proceeded to another for first time arrival permits. Devil wanted to work small but God gat it under control. We were asked for letter of Introduction; My hands was dried that I needed spit to sort my document (Nigerian way) then this woman just shouted at me: SO RUDE, I DON'T NEED YOUR PAPERS... I was like Alaye calm down na, I needed to separate my papers na, I had to bring out my hand sanitizer to satisfy her, Yet she said She told me she's not interested in my papers that I should bring just my passport then she went to print it herself, Alakoba. Avoid using spit on paper sorting.
I was shaking that I didn't even know when I gave her my passport, I think she picked it herself cuz she told me to sit. Then I was looking for passport that Village people don come o.
When I was called, and I saw my passport with the person, then I felt more relaxed. No much question asked. He just asked me for which school and course then He gave me my study permit and work permit.
Bless God. Fiancée came to pick me. Drove me home then I realize I didn't waste money. This land is beautiful sha. I drove later in the evening to get some stuffs like a road learner. Forget your Jason Statham skills in Nigeria, When you reach here, You gatz learn, Lol. So organized.

While filling the imm1294e form, there’s a part that speaks to National identity document, it also asks for issue date and expiry date. The regular NIN slip doesn’t contain this info. Is it okay to leave this blank ?
Pls I need assistance on how to compress 142 pages of bank statements without losing much quality. After scanning the documents, the size is 12mb which is not acceptable.
Nawa o, client information, all the necessary documents including marriage certificate change of name, newspaper publication, kids birth certificates etc will definitely be more than 4mb even after compression.
Only the forms are supposed to be uploaded where they are downloaded. Every of your personal documents like birth certificates et al should be under client information.
Use MBS It's called my bank statement. You can get it from your bank. About 2 pages

DestinationCann: Someone did it at a police station in Abia state for 30k. Only alagbon gives out police clearance certificate so it's either you go there or do it at any police station (the police officers will milk you)
1) +234 816 249 9050 works in Alagbon and she did mine via WhatsApp. I got it same day. All you need is stamp ink for thumbprinting, scanner to scan document back to her after completion.
2) Don't move money around, submit both accounts and explain your sources of income on both accounts.
3) I think the new portal has an option to pick "yes" to a particular question if your husband will eventually come with you to Canada even if you aren't applying for him ATM.
My suggestion about his passport is this: try to see how you can fast track it and if it becomes impossible, apply for your child while you start in your SOP that he'll come later.
In all that you do, do not forget to have a strong home tie in your SOP considering you plan to go with your immediate family.
2. The two accounts are yours and you have all the proof of source of fund for the two accounts, you don't have to move funds. Submit the two accounts and use the total sum from the two accounts to explain how you intend to fund your study.
3. Wait o. You want to tell IRCC " Hey guys, I will be applying with my family but my hubby's passport is not ready. So imma need you guys to hold a spot for him. When his passport is ready, I will buzz you guys to let you know. Aiit?". Lol. Na joke o, no vex. But on a serious note, my opinion is, you have two options.
- Option A : Apply with your kid and without him since his passport is not ready. He serves as a home tie for you. He can then take all the available possible route to join you in Canada after you've gotten your Study Permit.
- Option B - Wait till he gets his passport before you submit your family application. I don't think you want this option.
Just my two cents. Await the gurus to offer better perspective.
The spouse of the international graduate can always apply for an OWP. Also, the spouse can decide to apply for a PR through the PNP or other provincial program available after acquiring one year of work experience or of living in the province and include the international student/graduate and the rest family members in the application. Within Canada, there are several programs to become PR, the right questions just need to be asked as well as keeping the right circle.

Frankrobbn1: The best will be when she is in Canada, you can through her influence in Canada apply to visit her. The application will be prioritised rather than applying as a tourist which takes a longer processing times.

If no, you need to renew your passport at the Nigerian consulate in Ottawa and subsequently apply for a study permit extension after the passport has been renewed. Ensure you apply for your extension six (6) months before the expiry date of your study permit.

DestinationCann: Again, it's unnecessary. I paid school fees and didn't do GIC but showed POF in Naira for living expenses and my application was approved in less than 3 weeks.
Reason I advised not to do GIC at that Aboki rate is so you save more money you won't get a rate close to CBN rate for GIC.
Again, It's your application and you can decide to do it as you wish. since you have sufficient funds for POF, Aboki rate shouldn't discourage you. Just fund your USD account and transfer the funds.

Alternatively, when you arrive you can download a financeApp eg (LemonadefinanceApp), where you will fund your Naira wallet via bank transfer through your Nigeria bank account then covert the NGN to CAD wallet still in the app and transfer to your Canadian account via interac e transfer.
Also, I heard there is a Nigerian group where people exchange naira to cad but at your own risk.

Not really, you were not deliberately refused. You're going for a 2 years program and your sister paid for only a semester. She needs to show more commitment in sponsoring your study.
She can complete the payment of a full year tuition and transfer the living expense to your account. She should show the source of funds and also show availability of funds for her own upkeep. She no go de chop sand unto say she wan sponsor her brother study abroad
On your own part, you can build up your account to over 1 million. Then explain everything explicitly on your SOP
