Tallesty1: It is not spiritual ma, washing of feet is a work of servants. But in this context(John 13 : 4-17 and the pix above) it is a sign of humility and servanthood which are exactly what we need in our marriages.
The man also washes the woman's feet, thereby making two of them humble and servants of one another.
Again there's nothing spiritual in what Jesus did. During their time, people wash their dusty feet before they dine, but because they had no servant and because the apostles had argued who was the greatest in God's kingdom while they were on the road, Jesus decided to wash their to teach to be humble and to be servants of one another. may God help your understanding |

Strahovski1: A slave washes the feet of her master!
That's the fact no matter how you try to bend it Jesus washed the feet of his disciples, does that male him a slave? ? sheilak: Submission it's simple.. love your wife and she will make you happy finish! |

sheilak: I have asked them to give me examples but they wouldn't
I don't even like that word regardless most women are pretty submissive to men they care about and a man who loves his woman would also submit to her. I understand flexibility, dependable team player and loyalty not I don't understand submission.
I am still waiting for an explanation . I wish someone would enlighten me today on? |
Romance › Re: Submission Or Slavery? by amokeme(op): 7:40pm On Feb 12, 2016 |
Seun: Love is largely a feeling while submission is a practical act, so it's not similar. A husband can claim to love his wife while taking advantage of her submissiveness (if she is truly practicing the submissiveness, which fortunately is rarely the case). Also, the bible does not say that a wife should only submit if she is convinced that her husband loves her. Even if he is mistreating her, she is supposed to "submit" to him. That's bad. . love is a feeling PLUS practice, I can claim to love someone and not practice it (show it) so they are similar. How do you take advantage of someone's submissiveness while claiming yoy love them? (I really don't understand this part) I don't agree with the bold. If God wanted it so, he would have stopped at "women be submissive" bit he didn't stop there, he knew it was necessary to include "husband love your wife" it's a pity we have over used the word "love"that people don't realise how deep it is. |

Tallesty1: Read John 13: 4-17 if I'm to go by that scripture, the mam is to do the washing.. since he is the head to the woman. As Jesus christ the head of the his disciples... I don't know how you understood that verse, but it's not applicable in this context. That exercise is highly spiritual. So let's leave it at that. |

Vivly: A submissive woman is actually the head of the home. that's the trick most women don't know... but you have to be submissive to a loving husband. KingEbukasBlog: True that Feminists advocate for women to be independent - you always do that and that's why I felt you were a feminist . anybody male or female can advocate that, and it's for the good of the family too. Expecially if she is financially independent. She is suppose to be a help mate to her husband not a liability. KingEbukasBlog: Hmmm ... true you know . But for her to keep her rage/evil nature/pride in check and wash her husband's foot , it might tweak her a little Lol, are you kidding? Then you my dear have not seen evil |
Romance › Re: Submission Or Slavery? by amokeme(op): 7:07pm On Feb 12, 2016 |
Strahovski1: Well in my opinion this is slavery. Not submission.
Although in my tradition man wash wife feet on wedding day but to me it's still slavery irrespective of the side. it is not, this is pure TRADITION... shows how well you are going to treat yur husband at home that's all, it has nothing to do with slavery, the bible or submission. Seun: I can't believe men managed to convince women that God wants them to "submit" to men. It's one of the greatest cons I've ever seen. "women, be submissive to your husband and men LOVE your wife" Some men have actually turned this part of the bible to their favor. When you love a woman, you don't abuse her, you don't ask her to do impossible things all in the name of wanting her to submit. Love her and watch her submit naturally... The only cons are abusive husbands (verbally and physically ) wanting their wife to be submissive it doesn't work that way |

KingEbukasBlog: @amokeme - was it because the woman is black and her husband is white ? honestly, I didn't even notice that, I had to check the picture again. But he might just have very fair skin.. doesn't mean he is white. KingEbukasBlog: I always thought you were one . are you serious?? Nah, I'm not and I can never be, advocating for woman independency is totally different from being a feminist. KingEbukasBlog: Its just a wedding tradition that does not even take up to 5 minutes which depicts the acceptance by a woman to be submissive to her husband . Jesus showed humility washing the feet of the his disciples . But in this case humility - washing the foot of the man by the woman - implies submission not slavery . none of the bold... you think a woman washing the feet of her husband will change he if she is a demon?? |

KingEbukasBlog: Ummm ... there's a photo that showed the man washing the woman's foot ... and you feminists chose to ignore it ? Tallesty1: Feminists and their yeyeism. I'm not a feminists This is actually something I can do for my husband everyday, to pet him. Is the linkage between this and being submissive I dont agree with |

Kbs468: PLEASE WE SHOULD ADVICE OUR WIVES, MOTHERS AND FATHERS INCLUSIVE TO BE WARY OF KIDS AROUND THE HOME
SEE THE PICTURE BELOW.
But come to think of it,
Didn't the parent or whoever it was that was busy taking pictures caused his or her death?
Instead of rescuing, he or she was probably busy taking pix b4 a Rescuing effort is being thought to be extended, which unfortunately came up already too late for the boy or girl.
Or could it be that he or she was once caught in the 1st position when there was no light? And the picture taken thereafter?
Or it is that the 2 picture belongs to 2 different persons?
PLEASE WHATEVER IT IS,
LET IT SERVE AS A LESSON TO ALL AND SUNDRY AS THE MESSAGE IS ACTUALLY A PROBABLE ONE WITH A HIGH DEGREE OF CERTAINTY. omg |

Strahovski1: Lol what a funny story.
Well, you are insecure.
My advice: Break up with him, he is cheating on you. And you know it. He doesn't love you. He did but it cease when they started texting again. So break up now before you find him with her in bed then say 'oh.. Strahovski said it'
He gets defensive when you talk about it.. avoiding your kisses.. blah blah blah it's obvious. They were together for 4 year.. you is 1 year so yeah he loves her more than you. Perhaps they never broke up.. Maybe distance kept them apart you never can tell so it's great having them together and you are a wall in the way. Break up with him and move on.. That's my advice. If you want to continue reading his texts like a vigilante suit yourself. you just spoke my mind... And @ mizlolar, don't fight with him or confront him. Just break up with him, and if he asks you why? Tell him you want him to be happy.. and that it's for the best. ,Make it really soft Yeah, you will be hurt, but time heals everything. Don't even give him the slightest idea why you are breaking up with him..(His conscience will do that for you) if he likes, he should term you the wicked one. Give him the opportunity to say "she broke up with me" (they all like to feel blameless) accept it with a smile.. Trust me ,you will be better off him. You don't need the drama. Though he will be happy about it (even if he doesn't admit it) but when he comes back to his senses, and most likely comes begging DONT ACCEPT HIM BACK But make it soft |

Marxxx: I am very sorry if that is how you feel...Really sorry! But how do I make people feel horrible? At the office sometimes I feel I am lending a helping hand all of a sudden the person feels terrible. I try minding my business it gets worse. I didn't get much love growing up in fact none at all I learned the hard way so don't judge me...cos I am changing....i am unfriendly I know that, but I am not a sadist... now I see where the problem is coming from. And just so you know, the fact you learnt the hard way doesn't mean you have to subject people to that same pattern. And you need to "change". life is already hard, we don't need more of your kinds to make it worse for people who are trying to be happy the little way they can. And work on yourself before you talk about marriage, for the sake of your kids.... so you won't bring up hateful children |
