Nairaland General › Pet Bottle House... by amokeme(op): 9:46am On Jul 16, 2015 |
I saw this on Facebook and was really amazed... This is creativity at its peak! Plastic bottles used to make houses.. I have never seen anything like this, but its absolutely beautiful But my concern is, how strong are the buildings? Can it withstand heavy wind or rain?? I don't know if this is the right section to post this, the mods should help me out on that.

Romance › Re: Husband Scarcity by amokeme(f): 10:06pm On Jul 15, 2015 |
Well, the thing is good women are also hard to come by. To me tho, I don't think a "husband" is hard to find.. People are still getting married every Saturday naw. Its just so unfortunate that some women see marriage as an escape root from their financial struggle which shouldn't be.. The jobless and not buoyant ones are busy looking for ready mades while the successful ladies aren't ready to "stoop low" to date/marry a man that is not up to their "standards" and I begin to wonder why they start to complain about "husband scarcity" If you happen to have a man who is not LAZY, very optimistic, loves and RESPECTS you.. And you both are very compatible, please hold him tight! the future is bright.. IMO, husbands are not scars! We ladies need to change our attitude towards men. I don't really blame guys who treat ladies as trash. I mean, what should we expect?? You both are just dating, and you make demands you can't even ask your father.. And you expect him to marry you?? Nah.. It doesn't work that way sister! Its the era of "change" Get your hands busy.. Get your IQ improved.. Work on your manners.. And the change will surely flow A REAL MAN knows a woman who has her dignity intact and they go for such women! |

Mcowubaba: Same old sh!t, just a different day ... M tired of all dis bullsh!t talks.. During GEJ's adminstration, Igbos had deputy senate president, dept speaker, Secretery to the Federal Govt, minister of Aviation, finance, CBN-governor, special advisers, Head of various agencies, even at a time Chief of Army Staff..... NOW...hw did all dis benefit the Igbos Was there any significant betterment of life for the Igbos Or is it just the feeling/pschological happiness nd satisfication that 'atleast na my brother/sister(tribe person) dey dia' Even coming Home, Igbos have Thiefs like T.A orji nd co.. Hw did the hold all dis dia people accountable (including their Senators nd rep members) The earlier Igbo realise that most of their problems are within themselves the better for them!!! As i usual say..REGIONAL APPOINTMENTS DO NOT GUARANTEE REGIONAL DEVELOPMENTS!!! Peace.... you said it all! |

feran14: Lemmie say this now and let everybody hear.. CU is not a holiday resort neither is it where u will be pampered.
you wash ur clothes with your hands, you will have fun with our beautiful collection of nocturnal insects. you might even get sick(that's what the health center is for )
some one was even asking me if bottled water is given to us for free.. come on people... waht ever you have been made to believe about cu being a place to relax should be cleared right now.
thaNK you hahahahah anyways, I don't wash in sch.. (I really hate to wash) true, there are no washing machines bit we have "washing humans" they go from room to room asking if you have anything to wash, and they are pretty cheap too CU is fun depends on your pockets tho.. But trust me, the frustration is sometimes is next to non Someone said something about the toilets.. Well, I think this is everywhere. In CU, the floor mates you have depends on how clean your lundary and toilets will be, your only prayer should be That, "God please give me reasonable and clean people" because you ll meet PIGS in human form in the hostels.. And start fasting for the kind of roommate you ll have if you are the qentle type and you are "blessed" with lousy roommates? Mehn, you are done for! Or your roommate has her "friends and family" and your room happens to be the meeting point? Sorry is your name! You will be so frustrated... When in CU your tolerance level should be on fleek! And about the dress code... Mehn year 1 students especially the queens are always bullied by the portals. So just be prepared But generally, this is a new section, so the "initial gragra" is expected just give them two weeks and they would just chill |

Any girl who marry a man whose mother is against the union, should never expect peace.... my dear, I can't even try it. Even if the sister is against it, am backing out! Not to talk of his MUM? its really a no go area for me |

Chizoba36: 2. Make sure you in laws like and accept you. In African marriages you marry the whole family! My marriage was destroyed 50% by the fact that my in laws hated me even before they met me because of where I am from! I should have walked away at that point because they wanted my husband to marry someone else but I naively thought our love could conquer all! How wrong was I this is so true! But sadly a lot of people ignore this part.. |
