Foreign Affairs › Black Americans More Often Wrongfully Convicted: Study by Amoto94(op): 5:13pm On Mar 08, 2017
Blacks make up 13 percent of the US population, but since 1989 they have accounted for 47 percent of 1,900 cases of exoneration after a judicial error;
Blacks convicted of murder in the US have a 50 percent higher likelihood than whites of being innocent
Blacks who are innocent are 12 times more likely to be unjustly convicted of drug-related offenses than innocent white people
African Americans are far more likely to be wrongfully convicted of crimes such as murder, sexual assault and illegal drug activity than whites, a review of nearly 2,000 exonerations in the
United States over almost three decades found.
Of the 1,900 defendants convicted of crimes and later exonerated, 47 percent were African Americans - three times their representation in the population - according to the study from the National Registry of Exonerations, which examined cases from 1989 to October 2016.
The study, released on Tuesday, also said black Americans were about seven times more likely to be wrongfully convicted of murder than white Americans.
"In the murder cases we examined, the rate of official misconduct is considerably higher in cases where the defendant is African American compared to cases where the defendant is white," said Samuel Gross, a University of Michigan Law School professor and a senior editor of the registry.
He said unconscious bias, institutional discrimination and explicit racism were factors in some of the wrongful convictions.
When it comes to drug crimes, black Americans are about 12 times more likely to be wrongfully convicted than innocent white people, the study said.
It also took longer for innocent African American names to have their names cleared, the study found.
"On average, black murder exonerees spent three years longer in prison before release than white murder exonerees, and those sentenced to death spent four years longer," said the report, entitled "Race and Wrongful Convictions in the United States".
Record in exonerations
A separate study from the same group also released on Tuesday showed that 2016 set a record for known exonerations in the US since 1989 at 166, up from 160 cases in 2015.
Nearly 60 of exonerations came from Texas, the most of any state, where district attorneys in the counties that include Houston and Dallas have set up integrity units to examine prosecutions for possible problems.
Most of the Texas exonerations were drug convictions in Harris County, home to Houston. In many of the cases, suspects pleaded guilty to drug possession and months or years later, reports from crime labs showed that seized material contained no controlled substances.
Nationwide, 52 defendants were exonerated of murder and 73 were exonerated of non-violent crimes, such as drug possession.
Among last year's most notable exonerations were the so-called San Antonio Four - four women convicted of sexual assault in the 1990s and sent to prison because of junk science, tainted testimony and false ideas of lesbian behavior, a Texas appeals court said.

Foreign Affairs › Couple 'detained In UAE For Sex Outside Marriage' by Amoto94(op): 4:58pm On Mar 08, 2017
A South African man and his Ukrainian fiancee have been detained in the United Arab Emirates for unlawful sex, a relative says.
Emlyn Culverwell‚ 29, and Iryna Nohai, 27, were reportedly arrested after a doctor discovered Ms Nohai, who had stomach cramps, was pregnant.
They were arrested for sex outside of marriage, which is illegal in the UAE.
Mr Culverwell's mother has pleaded for their release, saying "the only thing they did wrong was fall in love."
South Africa's foreign ministry has said that it is not able to help the couple as this is a matter of domestic UAE law, News24 reports.
The South African government has advised the couple to get legal assistance, the BBC's Pumza Fihlani in Johannesburg says.
There was no immediate comment from the UAE government.
Africa Live: Updates on this and more stories
Mr Culverwell and Ms Nohai have reportedly been held since January, but news of their detention has only emerged now.
Mr Culverwell has been working in the UAE for the past five years.
His mother Linda told News24 that the family is "trying to get messages to the two to say we love them and that they shouldn't be worried".
The couple have not yet been charged as the authorities are still carrying out tests, Mrs Culverwell added.
If found guilty, they could face a long jail sentence.

The Ahadeeth praising Intellect are all weak
By
the Muhaddith Allaama
Muhammad Nasir uddeen al-Albaani
Translated by
Abbas Abu Yahya

Shaykh Muhammad Nasir uddeen al-Albaani researched a narration and graded it to be false.

(الدين هو العقل، ومن لا دين له لا عقل له)
'The Religion is the intellect. Whoever has no religion has no intellect.'

Shaykh Albaani graded this hadeeth to be Baatil (false). Then the Shaykh said:

'An-Nisa'ee said: 'This hadeeth is false and Munkar (weak narration).

Al-Harith bin Abi Usama collected in his book 'Musnad' some thirty odd hadeeth from Dawood bin al-Mahbur about the excellence of the intellect. Al-Hafidh Ibn Hajr said: 'They are all fabricated.'

Shaykh Albaani continues:

'What is good to point out is that everything which is mentioned about the excellence of the intellect is from Ahadeeth of which none are authentic at all.

They revolve between being weak and fabricated. I researched what Abu Bakr bin Abi Duniya presented of these narrations in his book 'The intellect and its virtue' So I found it as I mentioned, nothing from it was authentic at all.

Allaama Ibn al-Qayyim said in 'al-Manar' :
'All of the Ahadeeth of the 'Aql (intellect) are weak.'

Politics › 60th Independence Anniversary: Ghana Celebrates Nigerian Relationship by Amoto94(op): 9:19am On Mar 07, 2017
Mr. William Awinador-Kanyirige, the High Commissioner of Ghana to Nigeria, says Nigeria played a fundamental role in attaining Ghana’s independence leading to a strong relationship between the two countries.

Awinador-Kanyirige made this known at the celebration of the 60th independence day anniversary of Ghana which took place on Monday at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Abuja.

He said “the struggle of Ghana’s independence was a struggle not just by Ghanaians but by all Africans that were in that territorial region.

“When we talk of the heroes of Ghana’s independence, we are also talking of the Nigerians that assisted us in that struggle although we don’t hear of them often.

“Our independence is intertwined and when you dig into history, you realise that many Nigerians helped in enforcing the freedom of Ghana.

“Take for instance the Ghana military, which has Hausa songs used to motivate the soldiers, was gotten from the interrelationship between the two countries.

“Colonialists created the Officer Corp Training in Accra and the Police Training School in Kumasi where the great Nnamdi Azikiwe enrolled in before his mother took him out prior to his graduation day.

“The history of our countries has been intertwined for decades and it’s not just the relationship between the military and the government but it is mainly in the relationship between the people of Ghana and Nigeria.

“We hope this relationship gets stronger as we grow together.”

Mr Peter Iyamabo, who represented the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, urged Nigerians to continue supporting Ghana inorder to improve bilateral trade and economic integration.

“Like Nigeria, Ghana is currently carrying out reforms targeted at rebuilding the psyche of the people on issues of transparency and good governance.

“I want to appeal to all Ghanaians present here to support the Ghanaian president, Nana Akufo-Addo, in his efforts to transform Ghana.

“Nigeria and Ghana have both enjoyed economic and international relations as our two countries have signed a number of agreements aimed at fostering economic integration.

“Nigeria remained determined in its resolve to implement bilateral agreements in order to ensure our people receive the full benefits.

“The relationship between Ghana and Nigeria remains very promising and full of potentials, we should collectively build on existing political and economic cooperation that has been the hallmark of our partnership,” he said.

The Charge d’Affaires at the Rwandan high commission, Mr Protogene Nsengumuremyi, said Rwanda had experienced a good relationship with Ghana over the years and Rwandans were happy to celebrate Ghana’s milestone.

“This is a big celebration and we wish Ghana a prosperous development ahead and I know that their growth will be beneficial to everyone they relate with.

“Rwanda has an excellent relationship with Ghana and we have common political views and interests and that can be seen in our bilateral relationship which has grown stronger over the years.

“We Rwandans are happy to join Ghana in celebrating their 60th independence anniversary and hope to continue such a relationship,” Nsengumuremyi, said.

Rita Orji, Chairman House Committee on Nigerians in the Diaspora, said: “I must confess that Ghana is one of the countries that we have the best relationship with.

“They know how to maturely handle and deal with issues that may bring about controversies or problems.

“Ghana is three years older than Nigeria and the fight for our sovereignty involved similar people like Kwame Nkrumah, Obafemi Awolowo, Nnamdi Azikiwe and other prominent people.

“There are many Nigerians who migrated from Nigeria and helped develop Ghana, therefore we see Ghanaians as our brothers.

“Nigerians have come to celebrate Ghana’s 60th independence anniversary because Ghana has been a good friend and ally to Nigeria.”

Homosexuality in Sodom and Gomorrah: The Prophet Loot (Lot) and his Daughters, between the Bible and the Qur’an.
BY ABU KHADEEJAH ABDUL-WAHID MARCH 6, 2017 HISTORY, SOCIETY
Story of the Prophet Loot (peace be upon him) or Lot (in the Bible):
Al-Hāfidh Ibn Katheer and Imām As-Sa`dee mentioned that Loot (`alaihis-salām) was the nephew of Ibrāheem (`alaihis-salām), the son of his brother, and his story follows on from the story of Ibrāheem. He was his student, and he learned from him, and he was like a son to him. So Loot was sent to the city of Sodom and Gomorra (Saddoom and `Amoorah) which was the main city of that region, situated to the south-east of the Dead Sea, approximately 100km from Jerusalem. It had outlying areas and villages. The Prophet Loot (‘alaihis-salaam) is one of the Prophets and Messengers of Allah who was sent to a people with hard hearts and harsh natures – they gathered together deviation in belief and deviation in moral character. A deviation in morality that opposed the nature of humanity itself from the dawn of its creation till their time – something unheard of in the history of mankind. Men of the towns would commit sexual acts between each other, acts of sodomy that go against human nature, and against the intellect, that oppose one’s moral instincts and Revelation from God. So the Prophet Loot (`alaihis-salām) was sent to them so that they may return to the worship of Allah and show obedience to Him, and abandon this unnatural and sinful deed. He strived against them and suffered at their hands, until Allah sent to them a severe punishment.

This narration takes an insight into the life of Loot and is an extension of what is mentioned in the Qur’an – and in this narration is a defense of this noble Prophet from the accusations leveled against him and false stories fabricated about the reality of the events at the time.

Al-Hākim reports in Al-Mustadrak (2/375) from Ibn `Abbās (radiyallāhu `anhumā) who said:

“When the Angel Messengers of Allah came to Loot, he thought them to be guests with strength. So he invited them to come closer until they sat them close to him. Then he brought his three daughters and sat them between his guests and the people of his town. So the people rushed towards him in a state of hysteria. When Loot saw them, he said:

قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ هَٰؤُلَاءِ بَنَاتِي هُنَّ أَطْهَرُ لَكُمْ ۖ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَلَا تُخْزُونِ فِي ضَيْفِي ۖ أَلَيْسَ مِنكُمْ رَجُلٌ رَّشِيدٌ

“O my people! Here are my daughters, they are purer for you if you marry them lawfully. So fear Allah and degrade me not as regards my guests!” (Hood 11:78)

They responded:

قَالُوا لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا لَنَا فِي بَنَاتِكَ مِنْ حَقٍّ وَإِنَّكَ لَتَعْلَمُ مَا نُرِيدُ

“Surely you know that we have neither any desire nor any need of your daughters, and indeed you know very well what we want!” (Hood 11:79) So Loot (`alaihis-salām) said:

قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ لِي بِكُمْ قُوَّةً أَوْ آوِي إِلَىٰ رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ

“Would that I had strength to overpower you, or that I could betake myself to some powerful support to resist you.” (Hood 11:80) Then Jibreel (`alaihis-salām) turned to him and said:

يَا لُوطُ إِنَّا رُسُلُ رَبِّكَ لَن يَصِلُوا إِلَيْكَ ۖ

“O Loot! Verily, we are the Messengers from your Lord! They shall not reach you!” (Hood 11:81)

So Jibreel took out their eyes, and they turned turned back feeling for each other until they exited to those who were at the gate. They said: We have come back to you from the most able of magicians who has taken out our sights. So they returned feeling for each other until they entered the village. So the village was lifted up when a part of the night had passed until it was between the sky and the ground, such that the inhabitants could hear the sounds of the birds in the sky. Then it was turn upside down and stones were rained down upon them, and whoever was pelted by the stones was killed, and whoever fled the township, the stones would follow and kill him.

So Loot left out with

The Ruling Regarding the Person being Unable to Pay Off [his Debts] | Shaykh Muḥammad ‘Alī Ferkous
Question:
Is it permissible for a person whose debts are accumulated and has no means to repay them to get a loan from the bank? May Allah reward you.
Answer:
All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. Peace and blessing be upon whom Allah sent as a mercy to the Worlds, upon his Family, his Companions and his Brothers until the Day of Resurrection:
As long as the debtor is insolvent and has difficulty in paying his loans off, then he is obliged- when the creditors ask to repay the loans and do not pardon them- to extract the additional money that exceeds his need and his family’s to repay the debts and leave only the necessary for livelihood. But, if he fails to repay them, the creditors have to wait until he will be in easy financial circumstances, for Allah تعالى says:

﴾ And if someone is in hardship, then [let there be] postponement until [a time] ease. But if you give [from your right as] charity, then it is better for you, if you only knew﴿ [Al-Baqara: 280].
Indeed, every person who is in hardship should be allowed deferment [till his ease]. Furthermore, Muslim reported from the hadith of Abû Sa‘îd Al-Khudrî رضي الله عنه who said: “In the time of Allah's Messenger صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ a man suffered loss in fruits he had bought and his debt increased; so Allah's Messenger صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ told (the people) to give him charity and they gave him charity, but that was not enough to pay the debt in full, whereupon Allah's Messenger صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said to his creditors: “Take what you find, you will have nothing but that”.(1)
However, this ruling concerns the case of the person who has no money and of explicit poverty. What has to be done -in this situation- is postponement and waiting time of ease of the debtor. Allah عزّ وجلّ recommended in the previous verse to give charity to the insolvent debtor and made that better than postponing him. Rather, he is counted -with this consideration - among the poor debtors who deserve the obligatory charity [Zakât]. Therefore, the person should not resort to the bank to repay his loans because Sharî‘a (Islamic law) blocked all ways [that lead] to what is prohibited. In addition, the bank does not add to the debtor but worry and grief with its usurious loan and the bank will be added -at the end- to the list of his creditors.
Finally, you have to strive and fear Allah تعالى indeed:

﴾ And whoever fears Allah, He will make for him a way out. And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah, then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a [decreed] extent ﴿ [At-Talâq: 2-3].
We supplicate Allah to open for you the doors of good and blessings and to grant you enough of what He makes lawful so that you may dispense with what He makes unlawful.
The perfect knowledge belongs to Allah عزَّ وجلَّ; and our last prayer is all the praises and thanks are to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, and prayers of Allah are to Muhammad and his Family, Companions and Brothers until the Day of Resurrection.

Giving Charity (in Silver) Equal to the Weight of a Newborn's Hair

Shaikh Muhammad bin Umar Baazmool (May Allāh Preserve him) was asked:

It has been reported that Fāṭimah – may Allāh be pleased with her – used to give charity (in silver) equal to the weight of her newborn’s hair after shaving it on the seventh day. Is that a Sunnah she got from the Prophet – may Allāh raise his rank and grant him peace – or was it her own preferred way of giving (optional) charity?

May Allāh reward you and bless your time and deeds.

[A]: He answered:

Wa ʿʿalaykum al-salāmu wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuh.

Yes, what seems correct is that it was a Sunnah she learned from the Messenger – may Allāh raise his rank and grant him peace – to give the weight of the newborn’s (shaven) hair in silver. al-Albānī alluded to this in al-Irwá when he traced the sources of the narrations about the ‘ʿaqīqah, saying that it reaches the level of being ḥasan by supporting routes.  Furthermore, the narrations give this impression:

Mālik narrated in his Muwaṭṭa’, from Ja’far ibn Muḥammad, who narrated that his father said that Fāṭimah weighed the hair of Ḥasan, Husayn, Zaynab, and Umm Kulthoom, and then give its weight in silver in charity.

Also in the Muwaṭṭa’ is the report of Rabīʿah ibn Abī ‘Abdir-Raḥmān, who narrated from Muḥammad ibn ʿAlī ibn Husayn, that Fāṭimah weighed the hair of Ḥasan and Husayn, and then gave the weight (of the hair) in silver in charity.

And Yahyá ibn Bukayr said: Ibn Lahee’ah narrated to me that ‘Umaarah ibn Aziyyah narrated from Rabīʿah ibn Abī ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, from Anas ibn Mālik, that the Messenger of Allāh ordered the heads of Ḥasan and Husayn on their seventh days to be shaved and the weight of it (the hair) in silver be given in charity.

And ʿAbd al-Razzaaq said: Ibn Jurayj reported that he heard Muḥammad ibn ʿAlī saying: Fāṭimah, the daughter of the Messenger of Allāh did not have a newborn except that she ordered the head to be shaved and the weight of it in silver to be given in charity.

I ask Allāh to give you success, blessings, and stability.

Forex: CAN CBN SUSTAIN THE BLACK MARKET ONSLAUGHT? ~ By Omoniyi Akinsiju
With the dramatic appreciation of the Naira against the dollar and other major international currencies starting Monday, February 20, there had been shifty discomforts as expressed by many Nigerians despite the unrestrained excitement that greeted the impact of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) recently introduced foreign exchange policy reforms.

Four days after the take-off of the policy, the Naira, at the black market, appreciated exponentially by more than 4% from N525 to a dollar to N480 to a dollar. As at Tuesday, a dollar was exchanging for N445, with even greater prospect of appreciating further against the greenback.

Of course, the market response is a testimony to the multiple layers of measures rolled out by the CBN to salvage a hitherto savaged foreign exchange market where the local currency had been on a free fall, especially at the black market.

Expectedly, the naira had been severely pummelled in the forex segment of the economy in direct consequence of an acute shortage of organically sourced dollars and a slowed down flow of the greenback from foreign investors.

However, the CBN, had through an insistence on managing the float of the Naira against other currencies sustained the naira/dollar rate at N305 to a dollar at the interbank forex market. This had drawn different hues of flaks from some commentators who insisted on a free float of the Naira even as some other commentators rallied to the support of the CBN, defending the apex bank managed float of the country's forex regime on basis of the lean foreign exchange earnings as a result of the combination of vastly reduced crude oil production and internationally compelled low price of crude oil.

Things started taking a perceptible turn for the good in November 2016 when militant activities in the oil producing Niger Delta area started petering out while the collaborative position of the OPEC and non OPEC member countries led by Russia, fired crude oil price over the $50 per barrel mark.

This was the needed elixir the Nigerian economy desperately needed, especially at a time inflation rate was looking runaway and productive activities were grounding to excruciatingly painful halt. Thankfully, the crude oil price spike and increased price provided the juice to the country's dwindling foreign reserve which had been decimated to as low as $23billion. The reverse of fortune soon commenced the consistent accretion to the foreign reserve. Within a twelve week period, starting November, 2016 to February, 2017, the foreign reserve added more than $8billion and hugged the $30billion psychological mark.

Apparently, this provided the impetus to the CBN to stream the 'meet all demand' measure. So now, the Personal and Business Travel Allowance that had hitherto had peripheral access to the foreign reserve, and payment of school fees plus medical treatment abroad were all brought in to banking circle thus vastly reducing the pressure points that led to the flourishing of the black market.

This is even as the CBN pumped more dollars into the interbank forex market at $6million daily intervention in the spot segment of the market. This compares with the miserly $1.5million daily intervention it used to undertake. This, combined with the clearing out of more than four billion dollar backlog of demand through its shorter 60 days maturing future market segment, were enough reasons for the Naira to start a sharp climb up against the dollar.

But now, a new concern seems to have emerged; can this new Naira virility be sustained? The first response to this is predicated on keeping the peace in the Niger Delta. It would seem the Federal Government has been able to persuade the Niger Delta of its seriousness to dialogue and impact a developmental agenda in the area.

In the matter of sustaining this marginal oil price increase, there's a growing international confidence that price of oil per barrel may hit the $60 mark. This is because critical stakeholders in the collaboration to cut down on oil between OPEC and non OPEC countries have started demanding for a push back of the six month due date for the expiration of the collaboration.

Iraq has been particularly loud in the call to extend the time period for scaling down national supplies for another six months with eyes set on $60 per barrel. Iraq is being joined by oil producing giant, Total, in this call. The prospect of this call being endorsed is said to be potent and so guarantees sustained high price.

As it were, it would seem this new forex regime is sustainable. CBN decision to heavily fund the supply side of the forex market is truly a welcome policy, however, substantial credit should be ascribed to the emerging culture of transparency and integrity that is defining government responsibility and service delivery.

Who do we take our Knowledge from? – Shaykh Fawzaan
http://www.salaficentre.com/2013/08/acquiring-knowledge-from-who/
Question

A man teaches the people the sciences of the Islamic legislation and the Aqeedah of the Salaf even though he did not acquire knowledge from the mashaayikh and the scholars; is knowledge taken from him?
Answer

As long as he does not have foundation from the scholars (i.e. did not acquire knowledge from them in person and has no recommendations for that), rather he sought (knowledge) from papers and books, then knowledge is not taken from him because he does not understand the Madhab of the salaf. And it (i.e. Madhab of the Salaf) is not understood except by studying under the scholars. (It) is acquired (from the scholars)–this knowledge is (acquired from the scholars) and not only through reading. It is acquired (through the scholars), but reading is only an aid and not depended on. The likes of this (person) is called a Muta-aalim* and knowledge is not taken from him.

– Shaykh Saleh al-Fawzaan

*Muta-aalim: [i.e. someone who feigns knowledge and understanding but does/did not seek knowledge directly from the people of knowledge.

Reading Star Signs
#Horoscope
Shaykh Salih Alaa ash - Shaykh [ ﺣﻔﻈﻪ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ] said:
❝Whoever reads the page which contains star signs and he knows the star sign of when he was born, or he knows that star sign which is significant for him, and he reads the comments mentioned in that star sign then it is as if he has asked a soothsayer/fortune teller. So his prayer would not be accepted for forty days.
If he attests to it and believes in that star sign then he has disbelieved in that which was revealed to Muhammad [ﷺ] ... [the Shaykh continues saying]: and if he brings home newspapers which contain these type of things then it is as if he brought a soothsayer/fortune teller into his house.❞

just the same daft reasoning pattern of muslims, did Dylan Roof shout "i kill u in Jesus name?" Did dylan roof refer to any part of the Bible as the motivation for murdering those people in the church? and why was a Christian terrorist murdering christians but only of another race? you see am not surprised at your dullness, its what islam does to people, pathetic
What is terrorism and who is a terrorist? If the actions of Dylan Roof is not an act of terrorism that shows you reason like a man with a 1bit memory capacity. What about the Quebec Mosque attacker your mumu supposed don do O.

why are all Islamic references thousands of years old all the time? are there no current and easily verifiable scientific achievements to cite? for example whenever muslims claim to know Christian terrorists they begin to give 1000yr old examples, arent you capable of giving current or close examples? i really pity the kind of lies embedded in the skulls of average muslims
You are really a disgrace to intellectualism. You obviously like to play around after been exposed for intellectual daftness, your argument was that Islam impedes human growth and development I refuted your lies and you dare turn around to accuse Muslims of been liars. You also didn't ask me to name recent contributions of Muslims in technological advancement. An example of Christian terrorist is Dylan Roof.

yet Arabia has produced less than 20 nobel laureates since inception and after over 12000 recipients, Arabia thrived in the sciences BEFORE islam and not AFTER! go and check your history very well
You absolutely know nothing about Nobel Laureate award and awards in general, award is not an indicator of superiority in knowledge. Chinua Achebe was not given a Literature prize in Nobel awards but will you say he didn't make any contribution to literature? What about Satyandra Bose the originator of Bose-statistics he never won a Nobel prize in Physics but he's a legend. So, when next you yap about Muslims having fewer number of Nobel laureates know that are just what they're are and nothing else.
Another point Islam is not a religion of Arabs and didn't start during the time of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) but for the sake of argument let's just agree that it started during his time. Now, back to your statement that Arabia thrived in science before the coming of Islam this is an outright lie as proven by historical facts and figures. Google Islamic Spain and Muslim scientists in the golden era.

funny enough i was tagged a backbitter recently among my school colleagues for speaking against Yusuf Qaradawiy.
The one who calls you a backbiter for clarifying the khabeeth Qaradawiy is either an ignoramus or an ikhwani. The man permitted suicide bombing (though he recanted this year or so), he said Allāh won't win an election (denying Allāh's attribute of will and power). There are other errors of his which I can't recollect.

ANOTHER REASONS IS ISLAM aND ISLAMIC EDUCATION WHICH is of NO PRACTICAL USE in human development and governance. it encourages rankadede and almajari bambi alla . look at the destruction and amount of money spent to quell destruction, provide military equipment etc
Ordinarily I wouldn't have dignified you with a mention but for the sake of claity. Islam doesn't hinder human growth and development and it isn't in support of people taking begging as a profession. One of the jurists in Islam Imam as-Shafi'ee said after the science of hadith what one should learn is science of medicine, this man died. The famous exegete of the Qur'an Imam at-Tabari was a mathematician, Ibn Taymiyyah another scholar was a philosopher what about Ibn Khaldun he was a sociologist. I can go on and on and name others who are successful in their chosen fields.

Q. Is it permissible to exchange old gold for new gold, and pay the difference in value to the goldsmith?.
A▶Praise be to Allaah.
It is not permissible to exchange worn-out gold for good gold and pay the difference. This is haraam and is not permissible. That is indicated by the reports proven in
al-Saheehayn and elsewhere in the story of Bilaal (may Allaah be pleased with him), who brought some good dates to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and he said to him: “Where did these come from?” Bilaal said: “We had some bad dates and I paid two saa’s of them for a saa’ so that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) might have some of it.” The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Oh! Do not do that, (it is) the essence of riba, the essence of riba.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 3212.
The Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) stated that giving more when equal amounts should be exchanged because of the difference in quality is the essence of riba, and it is not permissible to do that. But the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), as was his wont, pointed out the permissible way. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) told him to sell the bad dates for money (dirhams) and then buy the good dates with the money.
Based on this we say: If a woman has some worn-out gold or gold that people no longer wear, she can sell it in the market and take the money, then buy good gold of her choosing. This is the way taught by our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

You are lying Mr Man...I have been deployed and operated in Borno State...I was in Maiduguri, Damboa, Damasak and even inside Sambisa...What you just said that the areas where BH installed their flags are mostly in Southern Borno is nothing but a big fat disgusting lie...Damboa, New Marte, Mongono, Bama etc are in Southern Borno? you don't have to lie to make your point...and you said "Airport Road, Maiduguri was growing, becoming a Christian hub— it is now empty as BH has made it empty" in other words Maiduguri was growing to become a Christian hub? what sort of deluded lie is that? do a research for yourself and compare the population and distribution of Muslims and Christians in Borno State, then stand and look at yourself in the mirror if you can stand your own sight after peddling this kind of lies...there are definitely problems existing in that state, but why should you lie? what do you hope to achieve?and yet you tell your kids that lying is not good.
The person you quoted is either a demented iPod yoot with penchant for lying or an ignoramus that wants to spread lies and falsehood.

Those who rule by man-made laws - Shaykhn Saalih bin Fawzann al-Fawzaan(hafidhahullaah)
Question:
May Allah show goodness to you o virtuous shaykh,of the most difficult issues which has been problematic for the youth,or some of the youth,(is the issue) for example of ruling by man-made laws.We request clarity in regards to this.
Answer from shaykh Fawzaan (hafidhahullaah):
The Ulama have clarified this, and the closest thing(to being correct) is the tafseer of Ibn Katheer wherein it is stated that the one who rules by other than what Allah has revealed then if he views that as being better than the Books of Allah,or that his rule is better than the rule of Allah,or that ruling by other than what Allah has revealed is the same as the rule of Allah or that the he has a choise to rule by what Allah has revealed or not based on choise-then such an individual is judged with Kufer. There is no doubt that such an individual is a disbeliver according to the Ijmaa'.As for the individual who believes that the rule of Allah is the truth and that the man-made law is Baatil but he rules by it due to desire(hawaa) or due to a temptation(tama'a) that has overcome him-then such an individual is sinful and a transgressor(dhaalim wa faasiq) yet is not judged with Kufr. This because he believes that the rule of Allah is obligatory and ruling by other than it is Baatil but has done it in order to obtain a career or due to a temptation. In this instance his Aqeedah remains,as he still has his belief in the Book of Allah and that it is the truth and has to be ruled by,then in this case his Aqeedah remains.Such an individual is judged to be sinful and not judged with having kufr because this is Kufr 'Amali(Kufr of actions,Kufr less than Kufr).
