Is he trying to tell us that his god cannot hear his prayers when he says them in his closet? Or that his god enjoys treating people unfairly through his followers. Or will some of the followers of the "peaceful" religion tell us this is very fair and peaceful? |
AnonyNymous:Hahahaha. "God is greatest" ? Is that a testimony? It sounds like a phrase anyone can recite even if they are absentminded. I was born into a Catholic home. My parents are still very much catholic including all my siblings, save for one. Today, i am no longer a catholic. Did i fear my parents will disown? or dislike me? no, i didn't care, because i found something my soul cannot let go And in case you don't know catholics do not find anything non-catholic funny |

AnonyNymous:No i don't. What does it mean? |
AnonyNymous:You see i am not talking of miracles. Even the devil can perform a lot. I am talking of the knowledge of the truth. If i have to Google search if other followers testify then they are not testifying since i have never seen or heard any one cry out like the Christian who is always hungry to share the truth even when it seems he has nothing from it |
LOL Very weird. Can't anything be given just any name? I think we are living in a time when people can't help being sensitive to everything My opinion anyway |
AnonyNymous:No i didn't say wait for any "god"… I have been talking about God since. Many followers of other religions "testify"? I bet that's what you mean? because a religion cannot testify. May i know them and how? |
cloudgoddess:The onus lies on God to prove Himself to each man. The conviction He gives you leaves no doubt in you. And is evidenced by the resurrection of your spirit. I cant give you that. No man can give any man that evidence, only God. And not every one gets that. For those who are convinced, it may happen at different times of their lives. Your definition of evidence may not be subjective but it is limited |
According to the Op and the best way to serve God is tohmm. If i am to test this in the light of scriptures, it is wrong especially since we are supposed to be dead in Christ. Hopefully the Holy spirit will correct this if indeed God found the Op |
AnonyNymous:Lol What's more interesting? That you may not explain these proofs you say other gods have shown their followers. Or that no one readily and joyfully testifies of the goodness and truth of his God except the Christian. He is always quick to tell you to taste and see that his God is good. Because truth makes it bearers bold and willing to die for. Evidence can be seen and unseen. Unseen by all but only seen by you. Because it happens within you, when your Spirit is enlightened/awaken. You cannot be unaware of it even if you choose to deny it (Lol you wont even deny it) Evidence is not readily available when it comes to faith. God wills in eternity when things should be and makes it come to pass in time |
Ranchhoddas:I might create a thread for it if it becomes too necessary. But God will lead me to do the right thing |
AnonyNymous:No one believes without evidence. There are two types of evidence; 1, The unseen evidence and the 2, The seen evidence. False religions teach us to believe without any evidence but God cannot make you serve Him without conviction. He must convince/convict you before you become His. This cannot be seen by men but only the result of your conviction can they see |
ValentineMary:Thank you but all the indoctrinations i got from my parents, my priests and some of the pastors i knew back then didn't give me faith. If my memory has not failed me, in short they all made me very sceptical and pushed me away from God the more. The preachers of hell only made my heart beat faster than normal and made me fear for my life, but that still didn't give me faith. I hated all the prosperity wealth and health preachers that i couldn't bear to give them audience. Even when i did not know God, i knew they were wrong just by common sense. But God gave me faith one night in a place i least expected and at a time when i was most rebellious. God had mercy on me… My story is a bit long. |
AnonyNymous:Lol. Well the ignorance of a thing does not stop it from existing. It only makes one vulnerable and very unready for what is coming upon him. He cant even escape the consequences of his unbelief. Whether we like it or not or even deny it, the heart is evil and wicked. Even our greatest "good" (which is not good enough for God) is stained with so much selfishness and pride. When it comes to God, the submissive heart must be willing to accept how God had chosen to reveal himself. And also ready to accept that God cannot be fully understood by man, his character not fully grasped by the mind. He must also know how to run His world according to His counsel whether it makes sense to our carnal minds or not. He has secrets, deep secrets we cannot understand. God makes himself clear to whomever he wants to. And is under no obligation to make himself clear to anyone. Why is it so? because God made everything for himself The world is God-centred and not man-centred. When the holy spirit reveals this to us, it makes us submit to the power and sovereign will of God, and puts us at mercy before God |
AnonyNymous:No if you have studied the bible well you will appreciate the need for context when trying to understand. There are so many symbolic meanings in scripture one cannot overlook. Pharaoh was no different from other men and is not different from us today. He had the same heart, the bible described as hard and unmoved. He had the same old unwilling and disobedient spirit that stubbornly rejects the commands and instructions of God. But this God's promise to all men in Christ Ezekiel 36:26; I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh What am i saying? If we literally interpret the "hardened" in this scenario we would be forced to accept man has a soft and obedient heart which is contrary to the fundamental teaching of the scripture; which teaches that man's heart is hard already |
AnonyNymous:Hardened does not mean to make one's heart more evil. No. The bible made us understand that the heart of man is desperately wicked, and no one can understand it. From this we can deduce that man is capable of carrying out any kind of evil even ones that are unimagined. But why have men not consumed themselves even when the heart is full of wickedness? It is the restraining hand of God upon men. God retrains many men from fully doing what is in their hearts and also does not restrain others as much. When God ceases to restrain a man from acting upon his evil thoughts, his heart becomes hardened. God's restraining hand was upon Pharaoh for a while then (even though he was already unleashing terror on God's people). At that time, there was a limit God allowed Pharaoh not cross, but when the time was ripe for God to fulfil His promises, God let go His strong restraining arm on pharaoh's sinful heart. And pharaoh was hardened |
I didn't believe because of the limitations of my flesh but God gave poor me faith to believe few years ago. Nothing has ever made me happier than this. |
Amen!!!! Always said it, will keep saying the truth; Free-will is an illusion |
I almost laughed |
mizzbouqui:The whole bible miss is about Christ and His gospel for the church he loves There is darkness everywhere. And here isn't an exception |
ImDharay:No i am not. I am like every other girl. When i got saved few years ago, i joined DL but i had to live after a while for my own good. I don't know much about Jw |
mizzbouqui:Well you are right. But the bible is not simple to understand. Its interpretation is based on context through the holy spirit |
mizzbouqui:hmmm Well, ive been to so many "churches" i lost count. Instead of talking about my "church" which has helped no one i prefer to dwell on Jesus, my saviour and Lord. |
mizzbouqui:When you have light, is everything not exposed before you? I have observed this section from afar |
mizzbouqui:Thank you for cheering up. I do hope your works truly bear you witness that you are a doer of His word because our God cannot be deceived |
Jarizod:I answered already Jarizod. There is beauty in judgement, when it is done in righteousness |
dickhead01:Should i leave you in your evil? or do i pull you out even when its against your will |
Jarizod:God would judge what we do in our flesh not our lip service |
mizzbouqui:If you were truly who you have said you are, you would have welcomed me with joy and open arms because i, myself am a doer of God's word and my works speak for me |
ireneony:Its okay to keep God out of your life sometimes... then how are you sure you are living right madam? Yes i am aware of where i am |
mizzbouqui:Do you honestly give a rat ass about the God you profess except to join the church goers on sat or Sundays? |
