The only people i pity in this whole scenario are the igbos beating their empty chest in support of GEJ and Jimi Agbaje. They have been cornered and rendered useless in the Nigerian polity so they are doing all they can to remain relevant. GEJ is an Ijaw man while Agbaje is Yoruba and it's obvious they don't give a damn about the igbo tribe who keep ranting in support of them. The Yeebos have finally turned to an Ijaw/Yoruba slave something they frequently accuse the Yoruba's of doing for the northerners grin

Whether agbaje or Ambode wins, Lagos remains in the hands of the Yoruba but under a different party. An igbo man will never rule Lagos or Aso rock.

What did the igbos benefit from GEJ's rulehuh The promise of second niger brigde is still on paper, Many failed projects in their erosion ravaged region and so on but these people chose to remain suffering.

The igbos are just trying to flex their political muscle but we all know that they will forever remain behind the yoruba and the north in Nigerian politics.

Instead of working hard to regain their political relevance, they are busy supporting those who don't care about their existence. When the reality of the economy hits them hard, they turn to drug trafficking and kidnapping for survival.

What a group of wasted sperms undecided

Congrats to her though.

chibic:
So this is supposed to be a useless male bashing thread?

You women will always blow with a trumpet whenever you spend a kobo on your familly or husband. Look at this 0p telling stories of men living off women and she forgot that, the man must have been spending immensely on the woman at the beginning. Once a woman does a small favour to the hubby, they'll forget everything the man's been doing for them.

Marriage of today are useless because women of today are becoming useless. They disrespect their husbands and they cheat more than men.
My brother, dont waste your time arguing on this thread.

I really dont understand some of the ladies we have on this forum. A woman spends a few naira on her family and suddenly, the man becomes nothing to her.

Im yet to understand their concept of a family. To them, its the man's absolute duty to provide for all the financial needs of the house.

What is wrong in a woman catering for the home when her man is unable to do so?

These are the type of ladies who'll sue for a divorce immediately the husband gets sacked from work.

Reminds me of what a lady once told me..."His money is OUR money and my money is MY money"

Its really sad.

EducationRe: I'm Tired Of Law by Anaskie(m): 10:45pm On Mar 15, 2015
CoCoLav:
Ermm...I saw this thread and I was about to advice her until I saw she was in 200L. I thought she was in 300/400L and I know that's when you suddenly get overwhelmed and fed up but 200L means she hasn't seen half of it, there's more coming.

Safarigirl I think you can transfer depending on your school. I had coursemates who transferred to other departments and its kind of easier for law students to transfer. This advice should only be taken when you are really sure you can't deal anymore otherwise continue and have law as a plan b.

I am an introvert too but I never ever thought of changing courses even though I only took law to run away from maths. Its quite interesting to me and I find it challenging. Even though I am not really outspoken and can't address crowds, once I am in the courtroom I feel at home and i feel like I was born to do this. I maintain eye contact with the judge and this is me that can't maintain eye contact with a guy outside the courtroom.

So what am I saying... evaluate your reasons, this is Nigeria...you will need to survive and be independent. Can this passion of yours sustain you in the next few years? Can you support your husband and build a young family as a rapper?(Not many men like their women going from one gig to the other, sometimes you will be out of town...who will take care of your kids?) I always believe that every woman needs a career.

Unfortunately, I am quite old school and I don't believe in advising my child to pursue a career in his hobbies (like drawing, dancing....rapping). You can draw as an aside but you must have a career to fall back on. I used to dance but then I got serious and faced the Nigerian reality. The society doesn't really support that. It can't pay my bills...maybe in more developed countries but not Nigeria.

I think you should try to finish but have law as a Plan B.

Cc Anaskie
I think you've said it all. Lemme still chip in some few points though.

Dear Safarigirl, the legal practice is now diversified. Gone are the days when you must wear a wig and gown and argue endlessly in stuffy court rooms.

Lawyers are now needed in almost all sectors, from oil and gas, big multinationals, government parastatals and even in the entertainment industry.

You can easily fit into any of these, if litigation doesn't suit you.

I'd advice you to complete your studies. I'm sure you won't regret it.

Hope this helps.

How many times have you actually seen me comment 'bout igbos?

My dear, that I am igbo doesn't make me blinded to the truth. If that's y'all definition of being patriotic, sorry to disappoint you - MASSOB doesn't pay my bills, neither does the Association of Nairaland Ndigbos.
I am first a Nigerian, before being an igbo.

No, I am not violent...I only made a decision to respond to people accordingly. Rudeness for rudeness and vice-versa cheesy

I would say anything, anywhere. The last time I checked, I still have that right.

Thanks.
Owkeeiiii.

Not like I'm keeping tabs, but actually, this isn't the first thread I'm stumbling on where u've had an altercation over a similar issue.

Just saying you should chill sometimes, that's all. There are already more than enough Igbo bashers on Nairaland, we dont need another.

I thought you were too ace to ignore me? Should have guessed better, lol.

Don't get it twisted though cause addressing you as a kid has more to do with you than whatever my perceived age is to you. Anybody who openly and shamelessly insults his parents language in order to gain cheap and irrelevant Internet notoriety has the intelligence equivalence of a weasel, at least to me.

But please ignore me like you promised 'cause I also know how to bring heat when irked and I wouldn't care that you are a girl, at least online.

Take care Auntie.
Lmao

Dear Kachisbarbie, your comments about Igbos sometimes really makes me wonder.
You really dont need to say some things online, considering that you are also Igbo. It makes it appear as if you simply want to gain cheap popularity online.

Anyways, you've been pretty violent of recent. Hope all is well. smiley

First of all, I didn't know customary courts had the jurisdiction to dissolve a marriage. undecided

Assuming they did though, I believe that the grounds for dissolution were not proper at all. What if the guy actually believed he was AA?
huh

The comments I've seen here justifying divorce really makes me wonder. Marriage isn't something that should be rushed in and out. Those vows actually mean a lot.

I believe the couple should have worked it out. They could either stop making any more babies, or even adopt one.

Besides, chances are that the second and third children might even both be AS.

You guys make it sound as if Sicklers aren't human beings.

urchbarbie:
Baseless point. Why then do they rape under aged gals? @op, dis issue has been on since time immemorial. Ask Solomon in d bible. Ask David. Ask nne! They wld tell u: "Men are polygamous in nature"
Babes, d problem can never be stopped even if sex workers go strike, or close market. Men wld still find a way to cheat. Only a man dat fears God dat can try to stay away from dis act. Some women still give men styles "ie snake in d monkey shadow, yet they cheat. I knw a lady who told her husband to teach her d styles he gets outside, so she can satisfy him. D man no gree, till he met a near death experience and gave his life to christ. Nne, men are wired dat way. To think sex even when they see a gal wrapped in hijab: they still wld imagine wat lay beneath. Our prayer is dat God wld help them to control dis insatiable love for sex
I was about giving you a sharp retort but then, I remembered you were my sweetheart.

Barbie, my problem with your post is that it reeks of generalization. There are still lots and lots of nice, loving, faithful guys out there like me wink And besides, men don't cheat because we are wired that way.

C'mon, your simply saying that its in the genes of all men to cheat. That we simply cannot help but cheat on our girlfriends, fiancees or wives, no matter how much we love them, how beautiful they are or even how well they give 'it' to us.

I believe its individualistic. A guy cheats because he wants to, not because he was born a cheat or because all men cheat.

BTW, which one is snake in the monkey shadow style? shocked

You don spoil o grin
