Android17:I saw the movie beforehand. I knew where it was headed. |
Bombblacks:People forget that City wanted Maguire, Fred and Alexis - United Lukaku, Jorginho and Cucurella - CFC To mention a few. |
I wish Draymond punched Poole today not earlier in the season. Eff Steve Kerr. Eff the Warriors. I'm out. |
steady986:They beat us by 50 pts without Ja. |
Jodera:This is viewership and it is different from stadium attendance. The City vs Arsenal game is the most viewed EPL game this season. Although, Andrew is wrong in citing stadium attendance when Barca's stadium capacity is 98K+ compared to 53K+ of the Etihad. In other words, the Etihad was fully occupied but the Barca game he is referring to had just ~73% of the full capacity. |
mostob:Absolute nonsense. Bernardo fouled Partey but he thought it was Grealish and then charged into him, striking him. Grealish retaliated by grabbing him. Ref issued both players yellow cards. That should have been Partey's second yellow of the game. Later on, Partey held unto Haaland, preventing him from the breakaway. In every other day that should be Partey's second make it third yellow card. Oliver issues a freekick and let's Partey off without his second yellow. White does not get yellow carded for kicking and tugging at Diaz who is on the floor. Dias reacts by fouling him by the outstretched foot. If he had struck him with more force that would have been a straight red but because he acted mildly but in retaliation, the idiot ref issues one yellow card to Ruben and none to white. Holding was acting his name on Erling and KdB all game. If the ref is consistent, Holding should have been sent off before he scores. Xhaka? What illegal goal? Stop chatting wass. |
Borntosmoke:The guy brought stats where 1 player had played 32 games more and did not understand the data he presented. Abeg find out if it was Haaland that was giving KdB 20 assists in 2019/20 season. |
Jodera:See why even if I disagree with you on certain things I will always value your input? Kudos for being objective. |
A40:Their size will be a problem but they are not particularly quick and they will have to guard those moving guards on the warriors end. They are not a team that travels well and they just happen to be playing a team that was virtually perfect at home -with home advantage. Their size has not been the major driver of their lead against the Grizzlies - the very same healthier Grizzlies the warriors put to bed last season. The series is not that forgone conclusion people assumed it was because the Warriors had that 0-2 hole against the Kings. It could very well go 7 and if it does I'll back the team with home court. |
Jodera:This one: https://twitter.com/bifana_bifana/status/1651497543551819777?s=20 Remember to establish who the tackler is and then decide if that tackler attempted to take the ball or intrude on the person who established territory around the ball. That is 100% a penalty for City and a yellow card for Partey. |
Jodera:Stones was not offside. The linesman had ruled him off first and City players moved on. They did not surround the ref to complain. It was the VAR team that reviewed it and drew lines for all to see. What would the refs have gained by giving City the goal? If they were going to help us, Partey fouled KdB and should have received a yellow card + penalty. |
TLona1:Exactly what I was warning them about when I told them it is no longer in their hands but I was receiving pushback by groupthink. |
Blueelf:LOL. We are beating the Kings at home. Steph bounces back from bad shooting and rotation players generally shoot better. It will be a blow out. Quote me. |
A40:We have homecourt. As erratic as the team has been, the core is still the team that won last season and were top 3 in homecourt wins this season so even if it stretches to 7 I still give GSW a slight advantage. |
Honlucas:Buahaha. 5 stages of grief. Goodluck thinking Steph shoots 2/10 again from 3. And guess what, the warriors are starting to click. I'd be afraid for who plays them in the next round. |
TLona1:This is the reality that some delusional fans never accepted before or after the game. "It is in our hands" "We can beat them there [at their ground]" "We made silly mistakes in the first league encounter but we were the better team" Self-absorbing nonsense like that. As if the mistake that was made was unforced. As if they had precedence for the confidence they had going into the game. I know some of them call themselves gooners but maybe they need to actually Google that word to see what it means. A lot of quasi-intellectuals on nairaland need this wake up call.

TheGoodJoe:Bro, I dey your back like eczema. Debruyne over Zidane. |
Android17:The man who saw tomorrow. |
Lana1:Nah I'm good bro. |
Bjteensdes24:They said worse before Arsenal. City vs RM since Pep we have won 3 and lost 1 in the last 4 meetings. We are playing at Etihad in the 2nd leg. That's all I'll say. |
Do you know why your season is over? Your confidence has taken a beating. You are a good team but Oga na master. |
iamoyindamola:He clearly adjusted the hand that is tucked in behind his back? Should he have cut his hands out of his body abi was that an unnatural position? How many yellow cards did Partey deserve? What about all the fake free kicks Mike Oliver gave you people? |
drisham:Xabi Alonso. You are correct. |
benji93:Comrade, put off your mic. |
Kompany in Burnley Arteta in Arsenal Ten Hag in United Some of Pep's students doing well. But "Pep only needed Messi to win in Barca." 🤡 🤡 🤡 🤡 |
raumdeuter:Comrade, this logical argument works exclusively for Pep. Every other manager is excused. |
Skrrrrrrr:You thought I was just whining? When 2 teams are somewhat closely matched a little bit of bad refereeing here and there will tip the scale. Warriors better use experience in that game 5 and sucker-punch the Kings. Don't allow them calculate how game 7 will be on their ground. Shock them by coming out aggressively. That rebounding nonsense in the first half cannot continue. |
raumdeuter:I don't know if he has another degree but at 16 he got perfect grades in the A-levels and most people who know him say he is very intelligent. |
Ballzproblemm:Justin Bieber sold his musical catalog for $200M. Abeg what catalog does Mr. Eazi have to sell his for $1Bn? JB's own was sold this year oh! |
Capaldi:Kalvin Phillips is in his first season. People said worse of Rodri. Look at him today. Besides, he was injured for extended periods in the season. Lavia needed game time. He would not have developed into this player without it. He does have a buyback clause and right of first refusal by Manchester City so if we need him back we can trigger it. |
Stop focusing on City. You won't beat Newcastle and you have other games to worry about. |
[quote author=A40 post=122648244]Lol. You see this life. If you don't admit you have a problem. There's no chance you're gonna be able to solve it The entire season you beat just 1 team over .500 on the road. Of all defending champions you have arguably top 3 worst record on the road and you're still talking about refs. You mean the referees were against you all 30 something road games you lost? Ok if that's what helps you cope better have at it. You have deeper problems with your team chemistry, with your personnel and certain players who have not taken the necessary leap. That's where your attention should be but you rather complain about referee? Look at Dillon Brooks of all people in similar situation held far worse than Draymond was but showing sense that God gave geese. didn't say all the away losses are down to refs. I said the players have developed poor attitudes away from home following bad refereeing and it will take another preseason to rectify it. They give up in games away from home when the refereeing is sketchy and it just translated throughout the season. Whether anyone wants to admit it or not, the games vs Kings have been decided by the refs. Takes nothing away from the kings but when 2 teams are almost evenly matched, the ref can be the deciding factor. |
