etidy:This has been my point. Nothing concern KD for this loss. KD would have lost with Steph if the role players are as bad as Poole and Klay were. Kerr will have to tell us what Kuminga and Moody did to not command more playing time than Poole especially if we allow Klay. |
Kukutenla:Dumbo looking for way out. I don't know how many times you'll be told that Benz's header was recorded as a stat because it was not reviewed. But the replays and commentators clearly mentioned that he was off. Now mumu, a big chance like I told you is one in which the rate of conversion is higher than 50%. What that means is, at least half the number of times, the player scores it. That is why it is easy to know that the chance recorded for RM was the Benz header. There was no other chance that foot the bill and the one that would have counted for City was canceled for being offside. You can't be mentioning Haaland when the shot was blocked. Mumu. Blocked shot will not count as a big chance because it proves that a defender was present enough to prevent the keeper from making a save which reduces the conversion rate. How dumb will someone be to not just check something before typing? |
Mumu say "win another ring" To a team with 4 rings when KD has 2. Hahaha I don't know how you can be this stupid and still breathe. |
Blueelf:Why did you bring your father into this? We know he is an idiot but you don't need to remind us. |
The mumuelf even said KD that got his ass wooped yesterday will be laughing that GSW won another ring without him and eked a SF with this shit roster. Guy, you take the cake and bakery for your stupidity. |
A40:With KD we still lose the series. Poole was instrumental to last season's ring and he regressed badly. Wiggins underperformed but he can be forgiven if Klay had covered up for him like he did for Klay last season. KD would have been a nonfactor like he was for the Suns. |
Blueoaf. You think I am a primordial fraud like you? You warned me not to support my team? What a dumb cvnt ![]() |
Comprehension abeg. No away team can win in such a situation does not mean FT disparity is the reason the Warriors lost. Enjoy your win. |
A40:The series no really concern Durant or even Wiggins. It is Poole and Klay. Wiggins can be excused because of last season. |
Kukutenla:You wonder what my point is? Mumu, my point is the big chance recorded there is the Benzema header that would have been cancelled if he actually scored. Have you seen that your Tchouameni shot etc did not count as a chance? And you were arguing since yesterday. Oya, what about shots on goal, expected assists? Which team had more? You must be a learner to think you will change the argument after you caught this big fat L. |
Skrrrrrrr:Klay is done bro. Age is the issue. I thought he would pick up this season because he was carried in the last one but he flattered to deceive. His defense is no longer that great and then his shooting was doodle. The less said about Poole the better. Draymond is the fool that caused this all. He punched Poole and got him a contract he did not deserve. |
No away team can win in such a situation. If you see the truth say it sometimes.
|
Kukutenla:Dude, what is wrong with you. XG - expected goal is not the same as CHANCE. You posted an opta link I asked you to click that link to see how many chances were recorded for RM. Because you have seen that only 1 was recorded, you clownishly started trying to relate chances to XG. What is wrong with you? If you are not ashamed of your own link why not post the screenshot of the opta link you posted here? I won't even waste my time on you again. Since you don't know what a play by play commentary is. Below: is that not your opta link? Come and talk rubbish now.
|
Skrrrrrrr:Mumuelf. That is why he feels the need to start by telling us he is a GSW fan. Frauds always need validation before they cap nonsense. |
Blueelf:See GSW fan? Na just piffpaff full your dunderhead. |
Blueoaf. You no ku ku get sense. You are a fraud and your cover's blown. |
Skrrrrrrr:When I see any of those senseless posts I just unlook. Can't be replying someone who never comes to post in support of the team he supposedly supports or even makes silly claims about the team like the nonsense about GSW getting swept by Lebron in 2017 and 2018. As if people don't know that without KD, GSW will still have the bench and could still attract a player of Wiggins talent...what we eventually did and beat one of the best Celtics teams in my life time. |
Blueelf:If the shoe fits you wear it. |
Kukutenla:Mumutenla, how is XG calculated? Don't you know that the team that takes more shots will have more XG even if the shots are all the nonsense over the bar shots? Before you type. Pause, Google some facts so you don't come off as unresearched. You actually think 0.7 XG is a quantifiable stat? Buahahaha |
Skrrrrrrr:Bros, don't feed the troll. |
You have never been the sharpest tool. Did you check your conjecture about AD by data before spewing it? How is 6'1 Dennis Schroeder generating more fouls when he has 6'6 Draymond and co at the rim going by your malaria logic? How is Lebron shooting a ton of 3s in this series and still generating a ton of FTs if all Curry does is shoot 3s? Curry is driving to the rim more than AD + Lebron combined. The law of averages should tell you he will naturally get more fouls than any one else yet Vander freaking Bilt is generating more free throws per drive than him. How can someone not see that this is statistically impossible except bad whistling is going on? Odense Beckham. |
monerozi5590:Haha. No wahala bros. Wednesday we go dey here. |
etidy:It is not even the manning up aspect. It is the selective whistling. It is how Reaves is generating more fouls than Steph Curry. Things like that. There is a reason I stopped posting on this thread. Too many slowbrained people to deal with at times. No disrespect to anyone. |
Bros, on this thread in particular, your reputation precedes you. You are not exactly the most insightful when it comes to data and analytics so I will toe this data path with caution because more knowledgeable people will tell you that factors come into play before a stat is counted. To ignore those other factors is to expose your gross ignorance on the subject matter. Case in point, Steph Curry. The warriors talisman attempts more drives to the rim, has more usage, skill, class, pull, clout, gravity and star power than any other player in the Lakers not named Lebron yet Curry is attempting less free throws than Schroeder, Reaves, etc etc. How does your mumu data account for that? In fact, Curry is generating four less free throws than Schroeder per game even though Curry drives 2 times more than him. How do you reconcile that? Now if the best player on the warriors roster with more usage than both AD and Lebron, more drives attempted and more gravity than both players combined is generating less free throws than a role player on the Lakers. That should be clear enough to the biggest fool, that, Curry and the warriors by extension have been getting shafted by the whistle. This should come as no surprise. Every GSW fan (not the fake trolls on NL) complained all season long about how terrible the refereeing had been. This goes back to even losing to Orlando early in the season. But like I said, your reputation precedes you. LOL |
It does not matter who refs as long as they ref fairly. If you are adjudicating a playoff game, you cannot be heavily biased where 1 team has 20+more FTs than the other. That is statistically unlikely especially when the other team is not even reputed for being rough or hyperaggressive. Anyone with a history of watching the NBA (Including the Netflix specials that Bron Bron had to 'stop' himself from watching) will know that the classic way to rig a game is to give one team significantly more fouls than the other. It does 2 things: it ensures one team goes to the line to shoot FTs as well as helping them get into a bonus quickly so that any other ticky tacky fouls or legitimate fouls will lead to more FTs. Further, it ensures that the better players on the opposing team will have to go to the bench more often to avoid racking more fouls. This guarantees scoring runs for the team the NBA hopes to favor. We see it every season. In the past, the excuse was always: this is the playoffs and foul calls get harder to come by but that narrative changes when the warriors are concerned. Iggy, in his book even pointed out that a player like KD who was known to get a ton of FTs saw his numbers shrink significantly when he played for the dubs. Obvious things like this that us, Warriors have had to deal with. Just call the game fairly and let the team that wins, win. If you want to be generous with the foul calls let it go both ways otherwise, tell both teams to man up. Afterall the Lakers are bigger in size, that should favor them innit? |
airmark:Ikebe Sterling has the most G/A for your team in his worst season in the last 7 years. What is your foolishic achieving in Chelsea this season? If Hazard had the stats that Sterling has this season alone, Madridistas won't want him to leave their club as quickly as they have been asking and pushing for. |
Kukutenla:Constantly chatting wass. Just bring your own opta stats and show us the number of big chances counted for RM so we will see if Tchouameni's shot or anything else not named the Benz header was factored. Someone is talking A you are talking Z. I already told you how chances are counted as stats. It is not the nonsense you are talking about. You just even claimed that the Athletic link was not play by play. Hahaha. You need to go back to school. Understanding is far from you. |
hopefulLandlord:Nobody is denying your pedigree in the UCL. The record speaks for itself. However, your mistake is that you are also reading too much into that pedigree where this season is involved. You are not traditionally very good away from home. In those UCL titles that you won how many did you achieve by winning away from home or winning both ties? Okay, apart from that, which team have you played in the past that was at the level of this current City? I hope you can see the flow of logic. Stop overreading what you think was a good performance from your team. That good performance did not translate into a win. Also, I have mentioned repeatedly that City have tended to play more conservatively away from home and be less aggressive or progressive and that this same trend was obvious last season against Atletico Madrid were they dominated City at the Calderon, but played second fiddle at the Etihad and got beat. Think of this when you approach the Etihad. City will be more aggressive and dynamic than they played at the Bernabeu. Haaland will have more impact. It is going to shock you what you will see at the Etihad. You can quote me, I will be very surprised if Madrid conceded less than 4 goals. |
Bacteria8:Is Barca comfortably winning the league? |
popizaino:Pep has lost to Brentford ahome this season. I am not sure how that factors into things because I don't remember bringing up Carlo v Pep in anything I have posted on this thread. My main contention was with the "home record means nothing" "RM know what it takes" "they will destroy Man City" and all the other unquantifiable nonsense some people have posted here. There is just nothing to validate it except wishful thinking and hatred for Pep. In every other logical world, if 2 comparable teams have drawn the first tie, no matter how slender, the advantage in the 2nd leg will skew towards the one that will be home. That does not mean it will definitely happen like so, it just means that is the objective way for the scale to be tipped. But what one often sees here is emotional responses couched as speaking from experience. If other people like it, good for them. I think differently. |
Bacteria8:Yes, I believe City will beat you at the Etihad comfortably and qualify for the UCL final. |
Kukutenla:Stop talking crap if you have issues understanding basic facts. I told you that Benz's chance counted as 1 even though it was not and that if he scored it would have been reviewed and canceled. I even went further to use John Stones' goal against Arsenal to give you a similar instance where adjudication was done same way. That is my way of telling you that that 1 big chance that opta (in your link) attributed to RM is ruled off as null and void. A mere paperweight stat that had no way of influencing the game. Notice your Tchouameni shot was not counted by opta right? Learn to listen when people more knowledgeable than you are speaking. And speaking of knowledge; you just tried to cite goal.com in-place of the Athletic as though ones opinion is higher than the others. Thats how silly you are. This is from Aljazeera. I can bring more. Tell me why other reporters know the same thing I saw and you are arguing aimlessly. And did you try to cite 0.63 and 0.6 as different? They are statistically the same especially when one of the factors that went into that XG for RM includes Benz's header that was off and subtracts KDBs that was ruled offside during the game. I don't even know why I am debating with you who just keeps tossing and turning without direction. Benz's deflected shot is a chance? What will you say about Haaland's that Alaba blocked then? Don't be funny. Shots on target are a better metric of determining which team was troubling the keeper. Which keeper had more saves to make? You are counting useless shots from outside of the box some of which Ederson did not even dive for because they flew over the bar. You are struggling to make sense.
