initiator: @ angel, a pig head would manage the refineries better than NNPC.
The outcry against the sale of the refineries, instigated by labour and NNPC was stupidly sentimental. Now that they've withdrawn the refineries can as well languish in hell. However, my stand remains the same. |

aisha2: Thats not a fair statement to make. In all fairness, Soludo severally warned Nigerians about depositing in these wonder banks but people failed to listen. The said he is in protecting interest of other the Mega banks because people no longer leave money in fixed deposit accounts. Now we turn around again to say the government is useless. Haba, let us do less blame shifting and take responsibilty for our actions. The 'business' is either legal or it is not. I'm sorry but warning Nigerians against investing is just not enough. |

Prizm: 3) It is unconscionable and downright bizarre to commence a large scale extermination of fellow Nigerians (Igbos or people of south-southern origin) because of the actions of a few soldiers. That action served to illustrate that Nigeria was never one or united even if it was politically correct to claim so.
It is time to work together for progress, or as much as I hate to say it, find a way to separate peacefully. I am quite impressed by your post, more so of the comments in bold. This is sooooo true. |

fromuk: if the british govt did not let him go the kidnappers in ND will not demand for ransom, they kill any british citizen in ND at first sight. They value a british head more than the entire population of nigeria. If that was the case, they would have pulled out their troops from Iraq to stop the terrorist attacks. |
Politics › Re: Two Lies As Biafra Turns 40 9/7/2007 by angel101(f): 1:00pm On Jul 18, 2007 |
From what I understand of the war, it was the North that started the agitation to seceed. But they were cajoled by the British govt to remain because that was the only way they (british) could be sure of benefiting from the natural resources in the country (oil). As it is well known that the colonialists could not govern the country through the south. |
