Schools, shops and other business activities were shut down. just as movements in and out of Asaba were restricted following the passing of the monarch

this type of thing still happens in 2024
Visit Saudi Arabia, Japan, China, etc...

They have managed to sustain and maintain key elements of their cultures and tradition while soaring in technological advancement.

Let's not be too quick to conclude growth means totally alienating ourselves from cultures and traditions.

As a mark of honor to the great man... The King is Dead.

Fictionally speaking, what school or activities will take place in Wakanda the day it's announced that T'Challa is dead?!! cool

Honor is meant for KINGS.

He has served meritoriously, he should move on, there are better players who have not been given opurtunities biko. I don't like his kind of play.... OKOCHA in his prime plays better than him...aje.
Please, mention those better players in that midfield that should have been called up ahead of Alex Iwobi currently.

I will wait...!

NGArmyTerrorist:
Forgive him for what exactly! You people should grow up and stop fighting players. You think playing football is easy. If I am Iwobi, I will apply Balotelli medicine to haterz.
Don't mind them...!

See them acting like they had so many options and did the young man a favor by inviting him.

The boy is made already.

If options truly dey, would he have been invited?!!

Should Iwobi be the main creative midfield player under normal circumstances?!! If Naija get better team options, then blame the coach for using an inexperienced player.

Nigerians no just know where their problems dey... We just like to follow crowd dey yarn nonsense.

Iwobi flopped just like Tinubu.
Y'all always need a scapegoat Everytime.

Iwobi wasn't the only flop... Apart from Troost, Nwabali, and Lookman, who else in that team stepped up and stayed consistent throughout the competition?!!

An entire team was outclassed, outplayed and disgraced by one of the worst teams in the competition at a whole finals, and you are picking on a single player.

If not for Troost and Nwabali, that game should have ended 4:1 in favor of Cote'divoire.

It would have been a very disgraceful final for Naija.

Make everybody just lock up and face front abeg. cool

Okoroawusa:
Okay but they shouldn't invite him again. He doesn't know what he is playing again.
Hush please.

People who elect Jonathan, Buhari, etc, into sensitive positions like Presidency have no moral justification to disparage Alex Iwobi.

The young man is a citizen of Britain, earning juicy money weekly playing for Fulham, yet accepted to give his best to his nation, and all you lots are abusing and cyber trolling him because of a loss.

Look at the entire team... Under normal circumstances, getting to that final should never have happened.

Iwobi played his heart out... Whatever his errors, he gave his best.

If there were better alternatives, he would have been benched.

Make all of una rest for the boy matter.
Politics › Re: DSS Quizzes Sheikh Auwal Shariff For Criticizing Tinubu Over Hardship by Angelfrost(m): 10:48am On Feb 13, 2024
shortgun:
The awakening taking place in Northern Nigeria is heart warming. Tinubu has succeeded in uniting the northern Christians and Muslims with bad Governance and mismanagement of the economy, they have now realised that bad leadership affects everyone irrespective of their faith.
Gone are the days when Northerners are deceived in the name of religion by their religious and political leaders and told to support candidates on religious grounds. Northern Muslims have become increasingly vocal about elections not being an Islamic principle but a manipulative concept that keeps them impoverished.
Please, stop being naive.

Which yeye hardship is uniting whom?!! Lol.

They are simply acting at the behest of their Northern elders who hate to see a Southerner in that office.

They did the exact same nonsense while Jonathan was in power.

Buhari was Million times worse and more clueless than Jonathan, yet they never coughed or United...!

They should keep fooling themselves and gullible Nigerians who take them seriously.
Politics › Re: DSS Quizzes Sheikh Auwal Shariff For Criticizing Tinubu Over Hardship by Angelfrost(m): 10:44am On Feb 13, 2024
In a Democracy?!!

Yet, they can't arrest and grill those financing Boko Haram and other terrorists.

This means DSS has now been fully relegated to serving as attack dogs of the Presidency and those in power to quell criticisms.

More like the Dogs snapping at the behest of Napoleon in Animal Farm.

Throughout the match all they did was soak up pressure and whenever they had the opportunity to release pressure on their opponent, SPIRITLESS, TACTLESS,SLOW, DIRECTIONLESS is what plagued their attacks all through the match.

Luck on took them thus far, unfortunately breeze blow, foul small yansh open yakata undecided
The man is trying to be diplomatic...!

Everyone knows the Super Eagles disgraced themselves yesterday.

Cote'divoire was in firm control of that game from kickoff till final whistle.

If not for Nwabali, that game would have gone down as the most embarrassing final in Afcon history... They would have beaten Naija by at least a 3-goal margin.

These boys played rubbish throughout the tournament.
Yesterday's game was particularly shocking...!

Maybe someone forgot to stress the importance of the game to those people, cos they played as though they had nothing to lose.

Cote'divoire players showed real hunger and desire to win that game from the beginning till the end.

Super Eagles didn't even show any sense of urgency or zeal, even while in a losing position.

Cote'divoire never had it that easy through the Knockout stages...! Teams made them sweat for their victories.

Last night, they were in perfect control from start to finish.

Ola Aina killed this game

Very useless player
Leave Aina alone abeg.

Mention one player that played well in that team?!! Name one.

If not for the quality of Nwabali, Ivory Coast should have been leading by 3:1 before the hour mark.

This team is a direct reflection of how fvcked up the nation is.

Defensive football will kill us in this game.

It's a high risk, high reward game at this point.
How can they attack?!!! Have you not seen how sluggish these players have been since kickoff?!!!

They didn't come to win the game.

Look at the host team... Even up till now, they are still agile and in control.

Finally, game over...!

A very well deserved lead for the host team.

They have been balling and playing us out of the pitch.

This is the worst outing of the Super Eagles since that first game... I warned them.

Look at how small pikin Adingra has been bossing that Ivorian attack.

The hosts deserve to be crowned Champions... Let's just be honest. cool

Senior man replacing Lookman.

E remain to remove Osimhen, and bring on Moffi.

More energy is needed in that attack.

I just started watching at AFCON at 50 minutes. Before the Ivorian equalizer, Ivory Coast dominated play and held possession, without seeming to leave their defence exposed. Are they better than us somehow?
Somehow?!!

They are miles ahead of Super Eagles.

Honestly, they should be leading by at least 2 goals now.

Cote'divoire have been the far better team since kick-off.
