Sigh... What a joke of a club.

Man City is even topping them with a game to spare... Once Liverpool wins tomorrow, they will be topping them with 5 points.

This is supposed to be a title contender! Two straight losses to mid-level opposition.

Arteta has tried... Sack him after this season.

So much for your intelligence.

My last piece to you
You win...!

It's not a loan... It's just a business transaction never done before (Novel)... And they are not trying to prop the Naira.

We shall be here to hear and read further 'explanations' in 2024.

You are simply impossible.

I thought we were having intellectual discourse, where you would pick holes intelligently in what was earlier explained.

Instead, you had purposed in your mind not to be open minded. Changing your position in the face of fact does not make you a weakling.

If you have issues with what was explained, you could have pointed it out, and we will all learn from it.

I'm sorry for misjudging who you are and your intent.
Intellectual Discourse?!!

Now, you are being ridiculous.

An intelligent person would have seen the SARCASM in my reply to your last poor attempt to defend the indefensible.

Look, don't tell us what we already know. There's nothing new, smart or novel as you have chosen to put it in this story. Yes, it is a story.

This has been going on since the Buhari years. And the result will be the same because the intention is the same. They intend and will steal the money.

Period.
Bro... Calm down and leave these people.

MT:
First of all it is not a loan but a legal business transaction.

Let me explain what happened to you. It is quite smart and novel.

They do not intend to use the dollars to.prop up dollars like you thought or imagined.

They collect that dollars ahead of crude oil export in order to sell at the agreed exchange rate to oil importers.

Let me break it down.

When the agreement was made, let's say the dollar was being exchanged at 700 naira. The transaction is premised on that.

Now with the money in the hands of FG, even if dollars sell at 2000 naira to one dollar, the FG will be able to sell to the legal importers at the rate of 700 naira.

Therefore, the importers do not need to seek for dollars at the black market, which will ultimately worsen the strength of the naira.

It is novel, give credit to where it is due, and give them a knock where they deserve it.
Okay... Great explanation. Credit given for such massive financial 'foresight'.

Let me rest my case here.

Seguno2, over to you... Our explanation has landed.

Not loan, it is an exchange for crude oil
Exchange for crude oil?!!

So, they are selling crude oil to Afrexim, and using the proceeds to prop the failing Naira?!!

How is that different from what has been done in the past?!!

Una just dey throw explanations around, no evidence.

Some of you cynics are better ignored.

Show me from the article where the Minister was quoted referring to it as a "loan".

Let me show you a quote from the Minister in the article:

According to the minister, “this is a transaction in process with Afrexim and it is for them to make the announcement relating to funds disbursement.”

It is a TRANSACTION.

You have shallow understanding of English and Economics.
Yeah... A loan can not and should never be described as a cash transaction.

Please, what sort of transaction is this exactly where the Naira is propped against the Dollar via the infusion of Billions of Dollars into the nation by Afrexim?!!

Explain with clear illustrations.

Thanks

The mugu is the one who doesn't know United is having a turbulent season, and has been inconsistent since the beginning.

The Naira no get anywhere else to go but down... Nothing is strengthening it.

No large scale exports... No steeply reduced imports... No meaningful demand for the Naira.

Most wealthy Nigerian citizens have even stopped saving in Naira.

Honestly, no smart Nigerian with access to foreign currency saves in Naira.
