Politics / Re: Nigerians Being Scorned And Mocked In Malawi by Anybaba: 5:59pm On Sep 28, 2012
Another of such story lines to show the unwarranted hatred is herein:

http://www.nyasatimes.com/malawi/2012/09/26/malawi-debate-should-malawi-allow-nigerian-citizens-visa-free-status/

84 comments of pure hate !

I am actually not in that country, I have never gone nor will go there but this show of hate on the worldwide web is mind boggling !!!
Politics / Nigerians Being Scorned And Mocked In Malawi by Anybaba: 5:51pm On Sep 28, 2012
Why all this hate on Nigerians, even from people we have done nothing against?

The debate if Malawi should allow free visa status with Nigeria has hit a common consensus. Respondents to the debate flighted on Nyasa Times has revealed a BIG NO to the proposal made by President Goodluck Jonathan during his recent and first ever visit to impoverished Malawi.

Of over (80) comments on the article titled: ‘Malawi Dabate: Should Malawi allow Nigerian citizens visa-free status?’, only 3 say YES and only 2 seem not decided and give reasons for or against, whilst the rest have sounded a BIG NO!

One comment in vernacular Chichewa says: “Ife atsikana apa Malawi tikuti yes. Tiwone zina Amuna aku Malawi are too too PRIMITIVE. Kaya azitipha tizifa titanjoya!!!!” meaning ‘We girls of Malawi say yes. We want a change because Malawian men are primitive. Whether they will kill us we would have enjoyed first’.

Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan walks side by side with President Joyce Banda during his visit to Malawi recently

However, many people’s sentiments are laced with allegations that Nigerians are ‘crooks’, ‘corrupt’, and only want to come to Malawi to make money and not share a common socio-development agenda.

“Malawi has got enough of home grown crooks. We don’t want a flood of additional Nigerians who are known for their enterprising crooked brains. No,no,no,” posts one.
http://www.nyasatimes.com/malawi/2012/09/28/malawians-unite-to-reject-visa-free-status-to-nigerians/?#comment-326364

This show of shame on the website quoted above has been on for more than a week now.

The question is why all this hate? Wetin we owe these people in Malawi?

Politics / Re: Boko Haram Member Augustine Effiong Confesses To Partaking In BUK Attack by Anybaba: 9:33pm On May 21, 2012
These ABOKI people are not serious. Who are they deceiving? First a supposed Yoruba man from Ogbomosho in Oyo state was arrested, today it is Augustine Effiong, an Islamic convert ! The question is when will this charade of denting the image of other ethnic groups in an aim to salvage the lost integrity, worth and value of the Nigerian Aboki end? I challenge them to tell us the village and clan that Aboki man is from in Akwa Ibom State ! We are not deceived. :

Why is it that all the 'suicide' bonmbers arrested by our security personnel do not fit into the simple profile of a boko haram agent? Something is wrong somewhere. It is either this is an arranged and staged managed show or they want to deceive us so that we get confused about thise that are the trouble makers in this Country !!!
Politics / Re: Yorubas Are The Best In Accommodating Strangers In Nigeria - By Sam Omatseye by Anybaba: 4:25am On May 13, 2012
The Yorubas are accomodating. And they are generally good people. You can build in Yorubaland and actually call it home without someone waking up one day to molest you. I said Yorubaland and not Lagos since the hospitality of the Yorubas goes way beyond Lagos. I do not think it wrong therefore to tell the Yorubas to continue in this path.
I am from a small state- Akwa Ibom. The Ibibios are not a major tribe so I have no big ego to throw around but we are peace loving in my part of the world too. I have been to all the regions of this country. Beyond Uyo, Lagos is my home.

Politics / Re: Increasing Disrespect For Nigeria Amongst African Nations by Anybaba: 12:49pm On Mar 06, 2012
Nayah:

Actually both sides ( Nigerians and those who push back) are responsible
Nigerians, you're my brothers but let's face it a lot of Nigerians have spread really bad image of your country throughout the world and deny it would be a mistake and a lie, because to improve ourselves we need to accept some facts, even though nobody's perfect a lot of countries are complaining about Nigerians and just this should lead to auto critics from you

African nations that push Nigerian back are also responsible and quite narrow because we always need someone to evolve and a lot Nigerians are hard working, dynamic and quite nice so generalization it's not the solution, if they want to condemn those who commit crimes, then they're right but chasing a whole community like they're nothing, I completely disagree

Shut the Bleep up !! Is it only Nigeria that ha criminals?

Until GEJ stops eating Billion Dollar Meals, and his wife stops  going on $13million Gold-Chain shopping sprees in Dubai, and money is used instead on education, this is what you will get.

How are these kids different from the Militants in the Niger-Delta? Or the Average Niger-Deltan that thinks "tribe-first"? Lol Why, because they probably read a little-better or can write a little better even if most-times their sentences are not coherent or comprehensible?! This is what you get when the money that is supposed to be spent on education is spent on $50million Newspapers, $15million Stationeries, $30million cutleries, renovating the 1st Lady's office for $50million and the V.P's for $75million etc

My man, stop putting your head in the sand. Nigerian Educational system has malfunctioned. None of you think rationally anymore. Think I'm lying? Look in the mirror. . . .

It is very easy to ascribe every wrong in the society to GEJ, after all he is the President. Except you are very young or indeed have not grown up in Nigeria, you will realize that violence against minorities and people of other religious persuasions have always been a forte of the core north. It has nothing to do with GEJ or the educational system but rather the culture and the religion. These must be put in perspective.
And quite unfortunately, this region equally held power for too long and it has evolved into a lazy sense of self entitlement that has now undermined national security. What is Boko Haram? It is just a definition of Northern religious extremism that has found new tools in the AK47 and IEDs. It is the tools that have changed not the culture. Then it was bows, arrows, swords and knives. But the killings and the violent tendencies have always, always been there !

Godman_n:

Animal Bigots.

Core Northerner and you will rule forever; even when the fellow idiotic bigot called GEJ you gave us has failed woefully.

I am Igbo but will fight in the side of the North, if war ever breaks out, because you are the aggressors.

Just like during 1966, I am sure the table will soon turn in their favour because God/Allah is always with the righteous and not the better liar.

In my life time, the south begged for Zonning and it was given to them. I am a witness to this and will tell whoevcer cared to ask. When it was time to return it to them according to a reached agreement, we followed a wicked old man called Obasanjo and imposed a dying Yar'adua on the Nation. We refused them their full turn and instead handed over our nation to the biggest joker of the century - A man that could not marry his wife was asked to transform Nigeria. Now that the man is falling in the hands of a greater manipulator - (Western Power ), we rather attribute to Northerners destabilising his, than to admit the simple truth that we gave the nation a ZOOMBIE as President.

I am a witness to this and must stand in the side of truth.

There is nothing like zoning in the supreme law of Nigeria, the Nigerian constitution. Zoning remains an internal arrangement within PDP. As a matter of fact, the office of the President of Nigeria is not zoned to the north or south and even within the PDP, it is not zoned for eight years. Buhari and  Ribadu as well as the former Governor of Kano state contested the elections of last year. What if one of them won? Would it have been on the basis that the Office was zoned to the so called North? Would there have stayed for four years considering that Yar adua spent three years of the suppose eight years based on your zoning rule?

Now, if we are to insist on zoning politics, the Hausa Fulanis produced the Prime Minister in the First Republic and the President in the Second Republic. Obasanjo was not a product of zoning. He was a product of June 12, to assuage the South West. Do you not think it would have been unjust to force an accidental President in the person of GEJ to step aside for a group that has consistently produced Nigerian Presidents in two republics, even when he had constitutional rights to contest? And GEJ is even from a zone that has never produced Nigeria's President? This is a question of equity. The zoning argument put forward by Atiku, IBB and Ciroma was untenable, selfish,  not statesmanlike and unjust.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Anybaba: 4:49pm On Jan 19, 2012
Thiza:

Why is it that when success is made in Africa whites are credited and when failure occures blacks are the main culprit. So sad that the South African Army is still seen as success due to whiteman's presence. I find it insulting that certain Nigerians in this forum seems to see life through the prism of colour.

In posting these pictures it was not to score political points but to show a military capability of the South Africans including its battle tested and Internation sought after weapons. Whites are South Africans whether you like it or not @Patriot2.

As for secrets in this age and time means hiding what is not there, we all know the standard readiness of the Nigerian Army

SEE THIS PICTURE OF THE SOUTH AFRICAN MADE VEHICLES THAT SAVED NATO FORCES PARTICULAR THE UNITED STATES  ARMY IN AFGANISATN AND IRAQ

Who is this insolent South African? You are insolent. This is a Nigerian forum and you do not need Nigerians to validate the strength of the South African military. Posting a thousand pictures won't give you that validation neither will being insolent get it for you. If you think your Army is the best there is, good for you.  You think war is all about your fancy pictures and insolent words ? You want South Africa to engage Nigeria in war? In your delusion, you think Nigeria can't engage your country gun for gun, man for man, jet for jet, bomb for bomb? You are simply deluded. A country at peace is different from a country at war. Find something else to do and stop your insolence !

DON'T BUY SHYTE for 30 days.

Fill your vehicles, fill your gas cans.  Then as a group, don't buy anything.  Walk everywhere you need to go, don't use City Bus.  Walk where you need to go.  Shut the government down by ceasing and desisting.  They cannot raise the price on you.  If you AREN'T BUYING WHAT THEY ARE SELLING, They need the $$$ that is why they have taken away the surplus.  You can counter this and hurt them financially, as they are driving the price up to hurt you.  You can cripple a nation by stop using their services.  You are the people, more money funds your government.  Stop spending, stop talking, stop yelling, stop marching.  Just stop buying and organize a few of your own selected representatives to meet with government leaders, while you stand silently watching saying nothing, Just hold signs in the air in the thousands and millions listing your wants.

They will meet you at the table once their money stops coming in from you.  You spend money in the millions for government sponsored services such as fuel, gas, oil, bus fare, etc.  Hit their pockets, that is where it hurts and that is when they will listen to you.

Don't buy anything until they meet your terms.

That is the effective way.  Violence just begets violence.  Refusing their services hits their pockets and makes them listen.

Politics / Re: #occupy Nigeria Protesters Were Attacked By Police Overnight In Abuja by Anybaba: 8:45am On Jan 09, 2012
When Yar adua was doing his disappearance act, non of them slept out in the cold in Abuja to protest. As far as Nigerians where concerned, things were fine. When IBB annulled the freest elections, some never camped out in Eagles square. In fact they took up posts in Abacha's junta. Abiola died in jail and I saw no riots and abuse on any Nigerian leader. To appease a certain section, they ordained OBJ and barely tolerated him. Alas, today, they are sleeping with mats in the cold because the rug of corruption has been pulled off the feet of marketers of Petroleum. Even the destroyers of the country, today's heroes, are giving tips on what is wrong with fuel subsidy removal. Bigots, foolish generation, callous citizens without depth are all over the net insulting the President. Yes, that is the new fad in town. He is clueless; he is stupid; he is a slowpoke ! Of course, fuel must sale at 65 naira. We have 35 billion barrels of sweet crude in the Niger Delta, the land of the drunken fisherman we all love to insult. All of us are watching. We will all write this history together. However, I pray we all live to read it !

Politics / Re: Chaos looms - Buhari by Anybaba: 9:37pm On Dec 30, 2011
Those that gather around this Boko Haram induced crises to score cheap political points against Jonathan and his Government are the real cowards who will and can never win an election in this country. We do not need Buhari to achieve El Dorado in Nigeria neither do we need the Northern Feudal Lords to back a Government in Nigeria for peace to reign ! The posturing of Buhari and his party on the elections he clearly lost is very unfortunate. Buhari lost the elections and this is fact. No amount of propaganda and cheap blackmail will change the obvious. His lose to Yar adua in 2007 is debatable because that election was faulty. For 2011, Buhari lost. His CPC never reflected a national character but rather a party of northern rejects from PDP, who after losing the zoning argument in PDP trooped to CPC to foist a stale agenda on the country.
Politics / Re: Chaos looms - Buhari by Anybaba: 9:25pm On Dec 30, 2011
@ BERNIMOORE, thank you my brother. Those that know the history of this country know those that make trouble in Nigeria. Did killings in the north start with Jonathan? Have these people not been killing people for a long time now? They have only gathered more attention because they have introduced newer methods of killing-aka, suicide bombing- to what has always been their trademark.
Politics / Re: Gov. Akpabio Receives National Honour For Development by Anybaba: 6:48pm On Nov 05, 2011
What has Akpabio achieved that is worth this award? The input must always be commensurate with the output. The amount of money going into the coffers of his government placed side by side with whatever attempts at development from Akpabio shows that his Government is a catastrophic failure.
There is no gain saying that contratcs are bloated and jobs over priced. And seriously. what has this man put on place in terms of infrastructure in the state? The roads in Uyo where done during Attahs regime. Attah initiated and paid up front a major per centage of the funds for the airport. The independent power plant in Ikot Abasi is Attah's work.
Now, the fact remains, that any constructive assessment of Akpabio will reveal the fraud that he is. He and his acolytes should know that some day they will account for the thievery that is the lot in Akwa Ibom state today.
