eyenibibio:Read the post again then modify your comment. BTW the head of the CBN should be mute when theft in the range of billions of dollars is going on eh? |
tit:On the contrary madam, I am Igbo not Yoruba. |
How is this a church? |
HerexG:You still don't get it do you. No matter how religiously we drink the haterade juice against the west we won't be helping ourselves. Look at where Zimbabwe is now because of Mugabe, the country is groaning under sanctions, poverty and want is rife over there. This is because Mugabe has persisted with his isolationist style of rule. On the other hand look at Singapore, that country has built a prosperous nation for itself, Lee Kuan Yew was able to build a strong nation despite western interference. It's all about intelligent cooperation; being able to preserve one's interests while working with the west. Whether we like it or not the west is a powerhouse of science and technology, knowledge and information is what brings about development and this is something the west is very good at. Any nation that wants to grow will be doing itself no good by shunning cooperation with the west in these areas. A prudent leader is one who knows how to navigate the tricky waters of developing his country's knowledge base by working with the west and at the same time protecting his country's interests. This is what African leaders should do, not hold aloof because of some so called national pride. |
HerexG:Cool. We can choose to do this Africa against the world dance and see how it help us in solving the problems we face. Every nation and continent has its own interest, so lets not be naive about this and think that it's only westerners we should turn our noses up against. Instead of taking the path of isolation and suspicion towards the west, we as a continent will be better served if we embrace and integrate with the global community intelligently. The way the world is moving no one nation can go it alone, the time is past for all that hubris that masks as national pride, what is needed now is intelligent cooperation. This is something that Mugabe and his ilk don't understand and that's why I say he is a relic. |
Gbawe:Sir you have failed to show how the report is false instead you repeat what any paid supporter would say. The report clearly states that APC's social media efforts have not improved Buhari's popularity based on the collection of online activity that they analysed. It doesn't say that Jonathan is gaining ground or that he will win the elections. Instead of disparaging this APC (and its supporters) should restrategise and intensify their efforts. Nobody was ever helped by denying reality. |
Clerverly:People around me are indifferent about the postponement. Using one's immediate environment as a gauge in these matters is totally unscientific. Nobody should rely on this alone. |
NewNigeriaMind:The picture you put there about the Jordanian king going to war is untrue. See this thread where it was debunked https://www.nairaland.com/2131738/king-jordan-planning-lead-airstrikes#30453436 |
Is that Ogbonnaya Onu on the right of the table? Didn't know he was APC. Chai |
doctokwus:What did Nigerians do to overcome Abacha? His death was completely the work of fate, let us not steal credit here especially in matters of providence. |
itetemi:What is sponsored about this report now? If it said Buhari was winning would you have made the same comment? This is just a measure from a small subset of online activity, it is not wholly accurate nor is it to be seen as a predictor of the coming elections. It just states how trends appear at the present time. Nigerians need to be dispassionate about these matters. |
HerexG:Please. Mugabe is a relic from a bygone era. Today progress is achieved by integration and collaboration with the global community not isolation. His style of government was good in its early days but he has failed to adapt with time instead morphing into the tyrant that he is now. Being a lion of Africa is of no use if your people are impoverished. |
SomebodyLovesMe:We are still on the same matter. Tinubu is alleging that the elections have been moved so PDP can perfect its rigging mechanism. Are we to assume that it's only PDP that will rig in the elections? I can also direct your question back to you, present your evidence that PDP has plans to rig. (Personally I know both parties are going to rig as much as they can) |
SomebodyLovesMe:Are we to assume that APC will not rig in the coming elections? |
The number of lies, rumours and silly allegations cropping up on this forum is sickening. People with their selfish interests do not shy away from telling lies about others so as to achieve their aim, that's terrible. Today it's Fashola that is accused of hiding PVCs of Igbos in Lagos, yesterday it was Buhari threatening to kill more Igbos, tomorrow GEJ will be accused of something new. Lies and aspersions from both political parties. What is even sillier is the number of unthinking clowns who help in spreading such dirt, they don't understand that they will share in the repercussions that will surely befall the originator of such lies. |
adebisiolumide5:You must be very gullible to believe this. |
AroOkigbo:Why didn't you go to Alausa to look for it there since Fashola is now hiding PVCs? ![]() |
Promhize:And your point is? It's a beautiful afternoon here in the FCT, is GEJ also responsible for that too? |
mrofficial:Lol. Well said. Why do a small set of Igbos on NL like making statements that paint all Igbos as unreasonable? When did Fashola start collecting PVCs from INEC? This silly attitude of blaming everything on Fashola should be stopped, he remains one of the best governors that Nigeria has ever produced. |
Redoil:Lets get real, Nigeria's population, natural resources and untapped business potentials have nothing to do with GEJ. These factors alone make Nigeria a destination that global investors cannot afford to overlook and these factors will still be there even if Jonathan leaves office this instant. Let's not deceive ourselves or skew reality because we want to support a particular political candidate. |
olayincar:Move your wedding forward to the 14th of this month. ![]() |
^ Spoken like a true drone who no longer has any use of independent thinking. |
jkendy:Yeah right. Pass up the opportunity to enhance the Navy's capabilities because Boko Haram is the only threat there will ever be. There is no prize for such unwise thinking, give it up already. Nigerians. SMH |
koife:This is not about joining the effort to fight Boko Haram, this is about the military being unable to multitask. |
Can INEC on the other hand state the percentage of voters cards that they have given out to people? Despite all the assurances from Jega it appears they are anything but ready. Why did they fix the elections for Feb 14th in the first place if they are still racing to hand out voters cards up till now? |
This goes to show that all the talk we heard in the past about then Nigerian military being the best force in Africa was just hot air. So they are so engrossed with Boko Haram in the north east that they cannot handle any other duties. If a hostile army chooses to strike this country now does it mean that we are all done for since the military would be unable to respond because of their engagements up north? |
Adminisher:Chai. Please remind us again what country you are talking about here? Fast food companies taking meals to government primary schools If you read the report the feeding plan is calculated on about N250 per child each day. What fast food company will serve anything meaningful with that amount in today's Nigeria? Mrs Biggs or NativeChicken Republic? This meal preparation will most likely be carried out by some government organised group and already looks like an avenue for more corruption. Goes to show that the APC manifesto needs to align itself with reality. |
Babysho:Indeed my earlier assertion is true. This is certainly not the kind of support Buhari needs. Actually no side is helped by sycophancy. Every now and then threads that should be platforms for meaningful discourse and interactions are reduced to a brawling pit of imbecility when people refuse to use their brains but instead bray the chants that their campaign organisers have drummed into their heads. |
Shoutozone: ApexTitan: |
Babysho:It is clowns like this that give APC a bad name. This is a plan that is at best overly ambitious and you are already blowing the sycophants trumpet. Is the bid to get rid of Jonathan completely driven by idiocy? |
Obiagelli:LOL. How is your response now any better than the other person's you accuse of trolling? |
micolaj:Why are you attacking his question? Many of Nigeria's problem can be linked to oil money. Asides equitable distribution of oil wealth the government also faces challenges on how to meet its obligations because of the volatile nature of the source. Any plan that continues to depend completely on oil money will continue to plagued with the country's age old problems. @Topic Skeptics like me will say that APC has come up with a good plan on how to spend money but little or nothing better on how to make it. |
