I'm a Christian Yoruba guy..i grew up in the north...and I can boastfully say that northerners are the coolest and most honest pips you can see in Nigeria..and they are the most humble (minus the religion extremist)my northern friends have correct money drive cool cars (they love BMW cars)and they still remain humble and relate with everyone well..but give an igbo boy or my Yoruba pips just Toyota,the pride that they will possess has no part 2...cheap food and cold weather during the dry season...and when it comes to the beautiful girls..who fine pass northern girls ?in summary northerners are the coolest kids on the block #it's just sad that some mumu Fulani pips and Dem boko trying to destroy the place ....lastly borno girls are just the definition of beauty

Bro, the issue is not that supplies were cut off completely. But sometimes, in the interest of safety and achieving the set goals, there are things which need to be sacrificed. Ambushes/mines could be laid on expected routes and in situations like these, u have no choice but to create alternatives.
Why is no one asking why the food items were conveyed by air rather than by road? These are what should be asked.
Do u know most of the top military commanders in the north east are practically on their toes on issues relating to soldiers' welfare? Or u think they are not aware of the dire consequences of loosing control of their men?
If soldiers could revolt for cases like these, then where lies the endurance expected of a military personnel?
Where is the much trumpeted discipline in the armed forces? No food for two days and the GOC himself accompanied food food items to their location and by air, then the next thing is to start revolting. Are they civilians or paramilitary? What sort of nonsense is that?
Note also, I have friends and relations in the military out of which some are presently in that maiduguri and I will tell u that some of these things are exaggerations. Some of them are doing everything possible to be taken away from there and that is cowardice which is a serious offence in the military.
Finally, pls give me link(s) to mutinies in other countries due to less harsh conditions.

Tnk u bro. Am presently at the barracks in Maiduguri and am yet to hear any of such news. Most information being circulated by the media is false and from my interaction with peeps who have had first hand experience of this book haram saga, am made to believe that the present GOC is the reason why Maiduguri is safer than it used to be. I was in church with the GOC today and all I can say is that the people love him.

My marriage to my wife is facing a serious challenge, after I discovered from my wife's WAEC certificate, that the date of her birth on the result is 6 years more than what she told me and what has been in all her non academic documents, including her C.V. Actually, i have seen all her academic certificates, including her NYSC discharge certificate, but never saw her S.S.C.E and FSLC results that normally bear dates of birth. Each time i ask her for them in order to compile all the credentials for job application purposes, she would tell me that her WAEC, NECO and primary school results are in a box, with her mum in thier home town; that she would ask her mum to bring them. I gnomo her mum lager came with them for her.

Eventually, a serious sure job came for which i would need these credentials to forward to the organization. She gave me the WAEC result with the excuse that age forgot the NECO and FSLC in her current office, which she promised to bring. Lol and behold! What i saw on the WAEC result is a date of birth 6 years higher than what she told me and what is in her C.Vs.

I called her attention and she started giving me excuses that hold no water. She is saying that the same DOB were erroneously registerd for her when, perhaps they were registering her for both WAEC and NECO. That when the results came out and she noticed the errors, she complained and applied to correct same, but since then, the exam authorities have not corrected them. I have not come to terms with the this discovery. I think this may cause us peace, thrust and love in pur marriage.

My brothers and sisters, i think am contemplating of what action to take against her and am contemplating a divorce, but our two children are still very small for this. I want to report this issue to her family and mine. Am gradually withdrawing my trust for her.

I need matured advice and suggestions that will see me through this.

Deceit is a valid ground for divorce. Your marriage, your life. Those who condemn your preconceived reaction to ur findings are just being emotional for no reason, I bet they would do worse. Love breeds relationships but trust is what keeps it. Take your time and think about whatever u wanna do and b positive.

Even if he had named the dog Awolowo, I know his Yoruba hosts may find it repulsive, but would not react violently, resulting in the boldness of the Igbo man who then concludes that Yorubas are cowards and are docile.

Since the Igbo man welcomes bravery and detest the peaceful Yorubas as weaklings, let him celebrate and enjoy the bravery of his Hausa-Fulani neighbours. It is stupidity such as this that was displayed by Igbos in the North, that led to their slaughter in the Northern pogroms as a Northern civilian reaction to the Jan 1966 coup killings of Northern politicians and Army officers.

However, whether the coward directed his friends of hate to eat up his own dog is irrelevant as no case exist here, talk-less of an implication. Nevertheless, the arrested man is safer in that police custody as his bigoted life will be wasted without a second thought, the moment he steps out of police "custodial protection".

I'd say i'm a pretty handsome guy, and girls tell me so so i have no reason to argue.
but I did notice that it only started later in my life, i guess i matured well idk.
Plus i work out more, eat healthier and dress better than I used to, so i'm sure that makes a difference.
So I have noticed a stark difference in the way i'm treated (remember i live in the US so it may be different for US readers)

1. Gays- Gay men stare at men the way men stare at women. It's annoying and infuriating and makes me want to fight but I'm not an idiot so i refrain. Either way the worst part about it is gay men staring or trying to talk to you. So when a guy you think is straight glances at your arm or chest. Abomination

2. Older Women - Older women are pushy and aggressive and don't know when to turn it off. The worst part is the boldest ones are the ugliest more condemned cargo. You have a flock of obasanjo looking women constantly making you uncomfortable. The worst is they're openly biased towards you and will talk about you to everyone creating a lot of awkward tension and unwanted attention.

3. Assumed to be a player - Women assume you're a player for no reason. They'll take you less seriously and question your motives the whole time.

4. Jealous Men - The most women think im handsome the more men want to fight or beef me. They constantly think I'm trying to compete with them, and CONSTANTY beefing and fighting are key. What makes it worst is a lot of their girlfriends will try to give them an impression that they like you so that their boyfriend can fight you and she can feel like he loves her more. Men become more preoccupied with you and your motives and life becomes more dramatic and complex.

5. Being called gay- The stereotype in the US is if you're an attractive well dress man you're gay as Americans expect their men to be simple dressers and not good looking.

6. Attracting useless women - Sure you attract more girls, but with the quantity comes a drop in quality. You'll constantly run into useless superficial women with no substance while the ones with substance are not phased or impressed by your looks.

7. Amebor- Everyone's in your business and wants to know who you're sleeping with.

8. Voltrons - You get women that you don't want that won't leave you alone no matter what. They'll stalk your facebook liking everything you do, constantly talk about you, and acting like you're their best friend. A lot of them will being acting like they're your best friend before they tell you their name. You can always find these if they use your name in every sentence while talking to you.

9. Women playing games with your name- lastly, women will use your name to play games. If you joke with one she'll tell everyone you were flirting with her. If you flirt with her she'll tell everyone you guys were 'talking' or 'had something'. If you sleep with one girl, any girl you like they will tell that one girl that you slept with the previous girl. They'll gossip with your name to build themselves up and to tear down your chances with other women out of jealousy.

At 20, i have come to realise the joy and fulfilment in living life to the fullest. Coming from a noble home, i was not raised to be a man's stooge not to talk of an animal's. My worth was defined from the day i stepped into earth and has been shapened overtime. I was taught the right and the wrong. And that moral laws condone no breaker. If a woman must be condemned and despised for a crime, a man must by all means face the same. I believed this and i knew before God and men it was the truth. I didnt just believe, it became real to me and has influenced my judgement.

However, the society has flung half of this truth and has held on to a part because of how drunk in power it has become and the advantage this fist had fetched it.

We are aware now of this evil conditioning that a woman who sleeps around is a slut and should be desired less but a man who does same a stud and should be the craving of every woman. Many men have quietly nodded in agreement and a few mouthy ones have not failed to vocalise their agreement. And women? So many to the shame of dignity and womanhood have sang along with the men. And you wonder which would sacrifice her pride to make a stud!?

Because to make more studs we need more sluts. Can any of you women come out and offer yourself to a man who would dump you for another. If you cannot hold your peace and stupidity!

A stud is a man who is sexually attractive to so many women. So they say! but i see a stud as an animal who is unable to control its sexual desires, hates monogamous relationships and (therefore) deserves to be judged and condemned.
