honestly speaking chiamanda can do no wrong in my eyes

it's not easy being her and saying the things she does say.
how many Nigerian women can choose not to answer their husbands name after marriage

how many Nigeria women can profess support and love on live TV for LGBT

How many Nigerian women can excel in literature both home and abroad

I mean Gosh god damn it

this woman. has brains... She is a literature god
.
She's no Fvcking literature god by any standards. If she was as intelligent as u say, she would know that extinction awaits the human race should homosexuality become the acceptable norm.

Sorry , i do not argue blindly.
What's the relationship between my comment and you arguing or not arguing blindly? If you really understand what “works of the law" mean, u wouldn't just leave it hanging cos its open to so many interpretations. Quoting the Bible isn't just enough, for as much as the Holy spirit gives knowledge so also does he give understanding. It would be best u clarify what works of the law mean so that those who come across ur comment would be better informed.

Paul. Paul is no doubt the most important figure in the apostolic age. He wrote most of the new testament books. His epistles uptil date is d root of theology and worship. Paul's idea is that salvation is based on faith and not works of law. And that is the insight on christian living.
Faith without work is DEAD. What u said is misleading or perhaps u don't fully understand his message.
Politics › Re: Uniform: Buhari May Back Customs Boss Against Senate by Apina(m): 9:59am On Mar 19, 2017
Kiakia:
Your opinion which you are entitled to, anyways. In a democratic setting, the legislature makes the law while the Judiciary or the court, if you like, interpretes the law. Enforcement of the law enacted by the legislature and interpreted by the Judiciary resides with the executive which it does through relevant government agencies. Now, you are educated on the functions of the three arms of government in a democracy.
The legislative is the most powerful arm of government in a democracy incase u don't know. They determine who forms part of the Judiciary and can also take away executive powers. Follow up the political happenings in south Korea presently so that u would have a full grasp as to how powerful the legislative is.

The question here is

Will putting his uniform rakes in revenue?

We have the most useless senate that cares for themselves alone

They should get serious

Let them show us just a single bill that was passed coz if the masses?
Do u know u are pathetically ignorant. You are obsolete when it comes to how things function and the reason why they are the way they are. Perhaps u don't know what BREAKING RANK means and the consequences of doing so. And for that singular reason, the senate can issue a warrant of arrest for him which he very well knows and that's why he cowardly made himself available when summoned. Instead of foolishly attacking the senate for doing what they have been voted to do, tell your pay master to put his dog on a leash.

i dont understand this impunity, he is rubbishing two instituitions daily ie the senate and the customs, they were in existence before he was a colnel in the army,if the senate allows such impunity to hold anything goes.We need strong institutions and not strong men, because institutions outlive men, and leadership is not an "I" thing, its a "we" thing. He should learn the rudiments of leadership, because he is just an old fool that does not want to be sepreated from his folly
Your school fees was indeed not wasted. I am really ashamed to have read so many dumb comments from the so called educated youths who are supposed to be enlightened. The reason why nothing works in Nigeria is simply because we have very weak institutions and that's the sole reason why Ali who has no business being in the customs office even as a recruit is CG. He has not, even the most basic of trainings to be a custom officer, so why was he nominated in the first place? If he's ashamed of the uniform or as he has claimed that a retired military officer shouldn't be in customs uniform, why did he accept to lead as CG?

kizzyblazee:
I want to state clearly, on every case of rape, a woman has directly or indirectly contributed to it. some of these ladies come "too close" beyond the "level of a man's bearing" I e. For every man u see, he has a level of opposite sex capacity bearing and if gone beyond could lead to loss of control by the man, Ladies be cordial and less intimate, especially when u know the relationship leads no where.#proudlyacatholicsemi.
Oga semi, it's good u run to the defense of the priesthood, but saying that a woman is also at fault for the priests lack of control is very damaging to the gospel you are called to bear witness to. Remember the reading from the office @ night prayer from the letter of saint Peter; do not give the devil the opportunity, stand up to him strong in faith. Though the priest is man and it would be understandable if he had consensual sex but to rape a woman or attempt to, then there's something wrong somewhere.

pweetyoge:
I can relate..i studied Philosophy at the University of Nigeria. It came as a result of not getting Law my first degree. did that stop me after Nysc..NAH.... I took a training in Customer service since i adore the field and i am doing fine. I am nt saying it was easy, nah it was not..bt it is a normal course, it is quite enlightening, it broadens ur knowledge and besides when we allow those who know literally nothing about the course to talk us down. It gets to u, they tell u how it is an archaic course of study or how it is an abstract thing nd can not be used in the society. It makes me laugh. Cus Plato argues that philosopher kings should be the rulers as we aim to discover the ideal polis. To b honest, no course is the ultimate, everyone is fighting to succeed. No one will ask u what u studied bt will ask what you can do. Dnt sit n ponder, learn basic office tools..u cn work as a customer service agent n any related field. Or u go for a professional masters degree. I currently study international law. So never say never. These write up is a wake up call to all philosophers. Stop allowing sentiments n naysayers who know nothing abt philosophy have a say. Corgito Ego Sum...Esto Vir
Leave them jare.... Let them keep on berating us at their own peril. It's really sad that most of us who studied philosophy end up with regrets. But one thing I know is that after four years studying philosophy, one can never remain the same ever again because one should be able to see the world from the perspective of the FORMS.

I agree with you, it takes a collective effort for the marriage to work. But in the above story, it takes just one person(the husband) to chamge his ways.
Agreed, the husband got distracted but leaving isn't and shouldn't be the first option. Conflict resolution is a rare trait among among those of us who make up this present generation and that's why you find out that things escalate very quickly for the worse in so many marriages. And that's the difference between the generation of our parents and ours.

"Our mothers" not "they" knew divorce wasn't an option. And that is because they had limited choices then. Welcome to the 21st century babyyyy.
Tnx for attempting to substitute ur thoughts for mine. But I am very much aware of my thoughts and what I intend to convey when I used parents and not just mothers, or are u tryna say there is not even a single woman who has walked away from her marriage in the past? I fail to understand what u mean by limited choices, are there no men/women over 30 who were raised by single mothers? or from broken homes?, so what's so special about the 21st century that didn't exist before it?. Marriages in the past that have functioned didn't just boil down to the male folks, it was a collective effort.

My sister is about to put an end to her marriage in a very dangerous way. What happened?

She caught her husband sex chatting on whatsapp. She didn't even catch him physically sexing but chatting and she wants to put an end. Their son would be celebrating his 5 years birthday soon and is this the gift they wish to give the young chap?

I have tried my best to talk to her but I have no idea on how to go about this afterall, I'm single. She was like "what do you know about marriage?". The husband on the other hand hasn't taken my calls and he angrily left the house since 3 days.

Big bros and sis In the house, what advice can I give to my sister?
Tell ur sister that the moment she packs outta that house, he's gonna bring in another woman. Let her go ahead and mortgage her sons position and hers with a man she has struggled with cos she couldn't boss up to the situation @ hand and bring her man under Leash. Being a single mother isn't as easy as she's been seeing it on telemundo and female divorcées aren't smiled at in the African society.

To those saying it's not enough. I bet 80% of you are single and you have no idea indeed what contents are of marriage. Yes.

Marriage IS NOT a task! Neither is it some kind of Job or Project. It's not a do or die affair. It's a union where 2 happy people come together as 1. So your sister shouldn't be in such union as her happiness has been slain. Why live with a man knowing well, that he is sleeping with another woman? The thought of it alone can lead to depression. Let's be realistic.

Irrespective of how they sort it out and settle the dispute, the scar would always be there. When she see him making a call, she would be suspicious. If she see him greet a woman she would be suspicious. She would always have the thought that he is sleeping with other women though she may not express this. But she would never forget. And this is not good at all. So what is the point? Is it by force? Why live in depression especially when the woman he is chatting with looks better or sexier than she is.

So let her be.

P.s I'm a married man and yet, I don't encourage anyone to stay in a marriage where infidelity looms.
So Taking the high way when things get tough is the best option? Its really disappointing hearing this from someone who's married. If the case is that leaving would save her from depression based on some uncertain events u raised, what about the child? what would be his state of mind and how would that affect him on the long run? How selfish your suggestion is. Her leaving his house wouldn't change the fact that another woman will replace her immediately, but who's gonna pick her up? Our parents had their own fair share of such issues and even worse but they knew divorce wasn't an option and sorted things out.

The sexuality of a woman is very important as much as being sincere about it to her spouse. By bringing up this issue, it would be taken for granted that staying away from sex is totally outta the question. A woman holds the key to life and family, but most women all in a bid to b like men lose this very important aspect of themselves. The pride of a man and any family is their women, and dats y people don't take seriously a cheating male but condemn strongly a loosed woman.

Im a lady in my late twenties and still in the University and I still have a year to finish school.
I met this guy online and we got talking, {let me call him S} we fell in love so fast and we started dating but there was a guy I was dating before I knew him, {let me give him T} that one only call me when he needs sex and he will just come to cool himself up but most times he gives me money after the sex. I told my new boyfriend one day that he was calling me and told him everything about about T, how he calls only whenever he needs me and that was what prompted the question how many guys have I slept with? I told him 3 and gave him all the stories about them but I omitted one person not because I didn't remember oh but I just felt it's not relevant and what will he do about it if he knows the number of guys who has has sex with me.
Fast-forward to yesterday as we were talking I mistakenly mentioned the guy I didn't tell him about and since then life has not been the same for me. He said he can't continue with me anymore cos I'm not trustworthy and he can't date me anymore but we can just remain as friends.
Please guys I need your advice on how to make him trust me again. OR do you think he's just using that as an excuse for him to leave me? Please I need advice cos I've been crying since last night and I'm having headache now.
Note:he only has sex once and he was seduced so I'm like the first girlfriend he will have sex with.
