Useless people!So desperate to taint a serious and patriotic man after losing to him with this same campaign of evil. I know that house and it is more or less like 3 security man's houses in a compound with some low-level fence.It is beside the lake owned by Mrs Abacha,a few feet from Orji Kalu and Atiku's house.James Ibori owns a mansion near the place too;all around Yakubu Gowon crescent in Asokoro. The soldiers have always been there probably to guard Oronto and the ambassador's family from over 2 years ago.It is an easily accessible place to everyone. Buhari has stated in many interviews that he took a loan to build a house in Asokoro. |

While it makes sense for the presidency not to be a one-man show like it was under GEJ,it is just unfortunate that a man who spent over 12 years asking to lead the nation is unable to show his hunger to transform Nigeria in making these initial but crucial appointments. A president can appoint anyone he is comfortable with as his Chief of Staff,but I believe Onu representing the South-East and the ANPP block in the merger should be made the SGF to give the leadership a national colour. We want no nepotism,no politics-dictating list of appointees.We want competent people who are patriotic and passionate about a new and greater Nigeria. Mr Buhari,it is you we gave the mandate and only you we shall hold to account for how it is exercised now and in the next four years. |

Some of the comments show that our men and even some women have a problem with women like Oby who have convictions,stand for principles and can't be intimidated. She has the best education in the world and has a cv that many in the world can't match.So,Oby does not need to lobby anyone or anybody to be made anything.She is an asset to this nation anyday,and she will be doing anyone a favour to join his cabinet.By the way,the same Oby turned down a ministerial appointment from GEJ years ago! There sure must be reasons for the governor to exercise his constitutive powers to sack the former vc. More than that,Mr Uche Nwosu's appointment is not abnormal.His being the governor's son-in-law does not disqualify him from holding this position of leading the governor's staff. It is a political position that anyone can occupy at the governor's mercy. |

Any tribe or zone that wants to secede should be allowed.These guys who can't even form a political cohesion for any national action are just deluding themselves. Yes,the Igbo youths are hungry for an experiment of nationhood,but their leaders and elders are mostly corrupt and easy to compromise. The senate under OBJ was an opportunity to illustrate this greedy elitism.Enwerem was impeached by a group led by Nzeribe,then Okadigbo benefitted and followed,then Wabara was another nutcase highlight. Again,the late Eze Igbo Gburugburu contested for the presidency under APGA and got how many votes? Who were those who betrayed Ekwueme at the Jos PDP presidential primaries in 1999?You got it right,his kinsmen! When the gadfly,Kalu,formed PPA and started a cross country for the presidency,the Ohaneze quickly double-crossed him and made an outer-nation choice.Same story when he made some noise for an Igbo presidency. So,for the Igbo young men and women,Biafra is achievable.Yet either in Nigeria or your dreamland,Biafra Republic,your political and cultural elite remain your only obstacle to greater life and times! The enemies of the Igbos are within.I pray the youth get wiser and channel their energies to purging their zone of these than expend it all on an utopia,Biafra! |

Shooting Straight-God,Guns,Gays and G-Clooney by Piers Morgan 'That Used to Be Us' by Thomas Friedman and Mike M. The Undisputed Truth by Mike Tyson,it is his autobiogrpahy The First Billion is the Hardest,a memoir by Amercian oil Billionaire and disruptive investor,T.K.Boone Pickens. Eating Less by Gillian Riley Two books on Wealth and fitness by Paul McKenna,I can Make You Rich,and I can Make You Think. ;I don't recommend except for elementary knowledge seekers in those areas.I will stop here. I am a lawyer and a PhD Law student in the UK,so I am happy to recommend law books to students too. |
