This is one of the worst threads on nairaland. Filled with so much hate and heartlessness! Having political meals over the dead bodies of our own brothers and sisters. I tire for una ooo!!!
I was reading all the comments yesterday and I couldn't post anything cos tears filled my eyes and my heart was really grieved. Almost everyone on NL have passed through nysc b4. It could have happened to anyone. Let's just stop all these political shots at each other (at least on this thread) and respect the poor souls that were lost.

2011 ELECTION POEM (IF I COULD MAKE IT)

I am President Goodluck Jonathan
If i could make it, You too can make it.
As a young boy, i trek 3km to school on bear foot everyday
If i could make it, You too can make it.
As a prudent, diligent and hardworking person, i rose from poverty to president
If i could make it, You too can make it.

I am General Muhammadu Buhari
If i could make it, You too can make it.
As a coup plotter, i over-thrown a democratically elected government
If i could make it, You too can make it.
As a radical extremist, i worked hard to enthrone sharia law in Nigeria
If i could make it, You too can make it.

I am Mallam Nuhu Ribadu
If i could make it, You too can make it.
As an opportunist, i rose to become the EFCC Chairman
If i could make it, You too can make it.
As a Tinubu puppet, i rose to become ACN presidential candidate
If i could make it, You too can make it.

Poem written by: Concerned Nigerian.
The poet was very wrong, GEJ is the greatest opportunist of them all he has never worked nor contested for anything b4.
do you think it's easy for you to rise in the army and become a general or for you to rise in the police force and become a CP. huh

I'm not blaming anyone for this, neither am I trading words with anyone, I'm just too heavy and sad about what happened cry

PoliticsGej Must Win This Election Or Else. . . . . . . by apoti(op): 12:39pm On Apr 08, 2011
President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (PhD)  is a man born without a silver or even a stainless steel spoon. He even talks of how he didn't wear shoes when he was growing up to show how poor and humble is beginning was, but he struggled to get himself educated and he bagged a PhD and became a lecturer till 1999.

We all remember that GEJ declared his assets value as N300 million in 2007 (which is questionable considering the fact that he was just a lecturer some years before that ). Now in 2011 he is contesting and he has spent so lavishly, extravagantly and frivolously. While hunger and poverty persist on the streets, he is busy spending billions to fund his campaign. we all know about Dbanj, Onyeka, Nollywood actors and actresses, journalists, bags of rice, biscuits, indomie, breads, countless souvenirs and many more we don't know about. He has bribed gifted anyone bribe-able gift-able, someone even said he spends N100 million during each campaign rally he held  shocked
I'm just wondering where all the money is or has been coming from  angry Is it from the his N300 million assets or federal reserve or the excess crude oil account

My friend who is a BO in one of the leading banks in Abuja told me yesterday that this is the best season of his career. He said his branch (just one branch) made a profit of over N300 million in the first quarter of the year mainly from fees and commissions as a results of transfers and transactions from different politician's accounts. I wonder the amount of the transactions if the fees and commissions is that high  shocked. He did not tell me the people involved because of his work ethics, but I don't need a brain of a rocket scientist to know it is PDP.  It's only pdp that has its base in abuja, ACN is in lagos, CPC does not even have any base (but in the heart of the masses).

I just pity the GEJ because his main rivals (buhari and ribadu) are renowned corruption fighters. If any of them wins it will be serious trouble for him o because the era of someone stealing billions and spending 10months in jail would be over.

Therefore, GEJ has to win this election at all cost or else he will rot in jail   cheesy

Yea Buhari's campaign DG is a man he jailed for corruption in 1984. Ruma one of his financiers embezzled the money meant for silos and dams. And Abacha is close associate. Marwa the arrowhead of Abacha's money laundering machine is his gov candidate in Adamawa state
Why is that?
@agaba, this thread was opened to discuss jonathan and not buhari. there's another thread where u can vent your anger against buhari.
BTW, not all anti-GEJ are pro-buhari

I'm not trying to stop you, I'm just working on emancipating a lot of our youths that have misguided their passion, rooting for Buhari. I hate to see my fellow youths misdirect the stamina of their youth.
well done cool
but I also hate to see a lot of our youths in this 21st century to vote for someone, not because of his track record or what he can do. But because he made promises that his record does not show he has the ability to fulfil. I also hate to see them vote for someone because he is not a muslim or hausa and the most annoying part is that because he has Goodluck, WTF
PoliticsRe: Buhari: The Truth You Never Knew, Perhaps by apoti(m): 6:20pm On Apr 04, 2011
deluxecad:
What fuels his desperation to return to power is simply because he wasn't given enough time to loot as much as he had planned before he got kicked out through a coup d'etat.

Believe me.

Lol!  Now let the hawks carry me and peck away at my person, but that's the simplest truth.

shocked
I thought your reason would convince me and make me stop supporting Buhari, unfortunately, it has increased my support for him.
so if he did not have enough time to loot as a president, what happened when he handled PTF? pls come with another propaganda.  undecided

BTW 20 months is enough time for any thief to dry up the treasury, we all know how much GEJ has looted in just 10months  grin

These guys are actors and actresses, they act according to script, most of the time they are not what they act in real life.
as long as you pay them they will act,
Anyway by the time GEJ finished all the money in the FG account we go start to dey borrow again undecided
PoliticsRe: Pdp Was Losing Cancelled Parliamentary Election Embarrassingly! by apoti(op): 7:30pm On Apr 03, 2011
ekt_bear:
This is good. I don't mind too much if GEJ wins, so long as there is a strong opposition to check his incompetence and mistakes. The more offices the PDP loses, the better.
If pdp wins, the opposition will surely lose their strength, remember pdp was not as strong as this in 1999, they became stronger in 2003, and stronger in 2007. They are weak now for obvious reasons, and there's no better time to kick 'em out than now.
how i wish CPC, ACN and ANPP could merge now  undecided
