Christianity EtcRe: Members Leave Latter Rain Church Over Pastor Bakare’s Failed Political Ambition by apoti(m): 5:30am On May 11, 2011
Tippy Top:
Since you couldn't fathom the obvious am going to break it down to you. Your analysis if I may call it that is at best naive and to a staggering ridiculous level. How can you equate working with a muslim colleague to a pastor who sought political office with a known muslim extremist?
Bakare had a job but decided he'd rather work for the devil thats the difference.
you really need to grow some brain cells fast angry

My point is simple and clear. If you condemn a pastor associating with a muslim, then u must condemn all christian students in schools with muslim students and teachers. u must condemn all christians working in offices with muslim colleagues or bosses, because according to you they are all "unequally yoked with unbelievers".

At first,I wondered what somebody that calls himself a pastor got to do with a Muslim extremist like Gen. Buhari. If he claims to hear God or see visions, why did he not win?As you can see,he is insinuating that God is a liar because God can't give  you an assignment and he will watch you fail on it.
It's either you are a sick baboon with no brain cells or you are high on chloroquine. angry
Why didn't u drop out of school (if u ever went to any) because you have muslim teachers or classmates. Why have you not resigned from your job (if you ever had one) because your boss or you co-worker is a muslim extremist.  stoopid eeediiioot  undecided

Owoademi admitted he was guilty of the offenses as charged, describing his act as “the devil work”.

He pleaded for leniency.

His counsel, D.T. Bukar, said it was “the first time Owoademi was involved in something like this”, praying the court to temper justice with mercy.

He said Owoademi was a pastor who presided over a church and has a family.
I wonder what these Pastors thieves teach their church undecided

Ystranger:
Are you crazy? With her status in Nollywood, she could shoot a film for say $30,000, and with the high turnover rate in Nollywood, I can see her shooting 20-30 in a year. The movie industry in Nigeria is till very primitive and not as stressful, she could be making 20x the amount she would be making as a nurse and still have time for her family.

She can always fly to the US every weekend or have her kids come stay with her in Lagos.

My point: Very senseless move on her part.

Disappointed by the conduct of his party’s hierarchy during the just-concluded presidential poll, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the presidential candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), has concluded plans to dump the party.

National Mirror reliably learnt that Ribadu, the former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), felt used and disappointed by the attitude of some ACN leaders who traded him off in the build-up to the presidential election. But his departure from the party might not be an“He has no option than to leave the party. It wasn’t mere tales that he was sold out by the party leadership a few days to the election. We have reliable information on how a certain leader of the party met serving governors elected on the platform of the ACN and directed them to mobilise support for another party’s presidential candidate.

“This is a sad development for a party which claims to be a progressive. So, there is no need hob-nobbing with people who care less about your future. Ultimately, he is leaving ACN, but the destination cannot be disclosed yet,” a top member of the Ribadu Campaign Organisation told our correspondent yesterday. The source added that Ribadu’s stay in the ACN had been full of pains. According to the source, “He had wanted to leave the party just before the election because they were making things difficult for him. The party disagreed with him on virtually all issues. Look at the choice of running mate, how it dragged so long. So, ACN has not been fair to him. The only thing they did not do to him was that they didn’t physically hurt him.

noblezone:
Waht are these "kids" ranting about?

The greatest initiative in fighting corruption is to be committed to credible polls. It is through fraudlent polls that thieves get into power. Those who expect him to arrest IBB and OBJ must know that this is not military era: this is a civillian rule for goodness sake.

Fighting corruption? The type OBJ and Ribadu did? I laugh in Igbo.
People are being arrested for electoral fraud, they will be tried and jailed. With enthroment of true democracy, corruption will die a natural death.

When credible people are voted in, the laws of the land is respected (unlike Buhari, who led the gang of over ambitious soldiers to trample upon our laws), corruption is a guner.

It is the militrary that promoted corruption by destroying the rule of law.

Is Jonathan fighting corruption? Yes, Yes. Yes, and Yes,

PoliticsTinubu Flown To Abuja In Presidential Jet by apoti(op): 3:37pm On Apr 13, 2011
A MILD drama ensued at the Presidential Lounge of the Murtala Muhammed Airport last night when the former governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, arrived in a two-car convoy and after waiting a few minutes, boarded a Presidential jet obviously sent from Abuja to ferry him to the capital city. He was accompanied by some aides. The plane’s registration number is 5N FGU.

Curious reporters could not extract any word from the Action Congress of Nigeria chieftain. Speculations had however been rife since last weekend’s visit to Lagos by President Goodluck Jonathan, during which he reportedly met with Tinubu that the President may have begun courting Tinubu ahead of Saturday’s presidential election.
