We have know about the western military personnel trapped in the Azovstal steel complex. It would be a big PR if Russia takes them alive.

Ignorant! AK 47 is Soviet made not Russian made. Ukraine is part of Soviet Union, Ukraine has lots of Soviet era weapons manufacturing plants including nuclear manufacturing. Same goes for the s300, Russia modernized their own version now that they are selling but it’s a Soviet era technology.
Have you asked how Slovekia a nato member has enough to give Ukraine ? Simple answer, it was a Soviet nation and got some shares of the s300 when they broke up.

Actually, wars are about achieving objectives. Victory and defeat in war are gauged by the objectives each sides set forth to achieve before, during, and at the end of the war, not just the capture of capitals per se.

The use of the atom bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki forced Japan into an uncontrollable surrender. When you surrender, you've been defeated. Surrender means you no longer have the capacity to fight on, meaning accepting defeat.

So when Japan surrendered, the US defeated them and thus it's objectives was achieved.

Like you rightly mentioned, defeat may include the capture of an enemy's capital seat of power, but that is not always the determining factor.

US in Vietnam and Soviet in Afghan were said to have lost those wars because at the end of war, they did not achieve their core objectives they set forth before the war.

As per Su35, several are still flying over Ukraine on bombing raids likewise Su34 and almost obsolete Su24 and Su25.

Why haven't Ukraine destroyed all the Su24 and Su25 bombing them if it's that easy as you claim or say?

US lost it stealth jet which they claimed was invincible over Yugoslavia to a Soviet obsolete anti missiles system used by the Serbs and they quickly took the remaining ones out of service.( They grounded them permanently).
