Christianity EtcRe: For Real, How Old Do You Think Planet Earth Is? by Areaboy2(m): 12:39pm On Oct 02, 2013
obadiah777: bible does not give the age of the earth. those who try to guess the age of the earth from biblical genealogy are not enlightened. the biblical genealogy only traces back to when adam was made. bible does not tell you when the actual structures were made
Right... so "we" have no idea when the structures were made, but tracing back to Adam still doesn't add up as humans have been around much longer than that.

@OP.. Of course the scientific view makes more sense. Take a stroll to any geological outcrop in your area and do your own estimation of how long it took for that sedimentation to occur and you'll clearly see the bible has no clue what its on about.

Having said that, it is also widely accepted that the creation story is symbolic. Keep it that way so you don't get it twisted. However, that begs another question... If that story is symbolic, how many more stories are? Noah? Joseph? Jonah? Job? Moses? Samson? Daniel? even Jesus? grin
PoliticsRe: DANA Flight From Abuja Loses Engine Mid-Air To Lagos!!! by Areaboy2(m): 9:38am On Sep 23, 2013
not true...the THRUST from one engine can fly the plane so u don't “compensate”for thrust.... u only “compensate” for balance....do u know how many pounds of thrust one engine produces...by d way sha d story is not true...its all tings end times
Thank you my brother. He is here talking about thrust balance when he has no clue how much thrust an engine produces or how much an aircraft needs to propel itself forward.
PoliticsRe: DANA Flight From Abuja Loses Engine Mid-Air To Lagos!!! by Areaboy2(m): 9:34am On Sep 23, 2013
KA24DETT: They are designed to fly on both engines and NOT on one engine. One Engine quits working, it becomes a drag. Yes you can land on one engine and continue flight on one engine in an emergency but u have to compensate for the lack of thrust from the other engine and balance it out.
He is right.
Show me your degree on aerospace engineering before you tell me about thrust balance. Stop all the clever talk. If you know anything about engineering design, you will understand what i'm trying to say. If they are not designed to fly on one engine, your whole idea of thrust balance falls out of the equation cos it just wouldn't work. Everything you and your boss have said on thrust balance and drag is in the design to fly with one engine.

I say again, they are designed to fly with one engine. An impressive feat is to land an aircraft with no engine power at all. Which has been done on a number of occasions. Again, pilots train for this on a simulator too.

Nonso23: ... that pilot must be good shocked
flying at an angle in order to balance thrust and load whilst eliminating drag and still retaining straight path flight when navigation requires it also pressuring 2nd engine just right to prevent its turbine from gassing out and manipulating the spoilers enough to make turns during flight and even during landing!!!!

And this is an ordinary passenger plane not a jet bomber!! shocked

NA GOD DEY SAVE PERSON OOO
stop trying to sound clever. they are designed to fly with one engine and pilots train to land under the same condition undecided

Eat vegetable and meat before you sleep every night. so you wouldn't be hungry in your sleep grin.
Having said that, you might also be tempted with desserts like ice cream and cheese cake. Make sure to have these ready just in case.

Christianity EtcRe: Are Nigerian Pastors Closet Atheists ? by Areaboy2(m):
Ive given this some thought and have come to the conclusion that most of them are.

I mean, if you stage miracles just to win more followers then it simply means you clearly know what you are preaching is horse shite and doesn't work.

Most of them are actually very clever chaps and know how to use the inconsistencies and ambiguity of the bible to their advantage at great success undecided

At the end, its all in the bid to make money. Else, tell me why you have a government primary school with 10 different church in it on a Sunday? huh
Christianity EtcRe: Why Did God Choose To Remain Invinsible? by Areaboy2(m): 11:00pm On Aug 27, 2013
The same reason santa claus decided to be invincible too. So that when we grow older, we wont believe in him anymore. That's the master plan. He wants to see if we're clever enough to figure out that he isn't actually real... The idea is for us to inherit the earth.

Remember "....in our image and likeness" wink

TheRealMrStan: Only in Nigeria where a frustrated expatriate that failed in exploiting our economy writes up a whole lot of jargons and some dumb self-hating Nigerians start concurring.

will read the your link in a minute. Meanwhile, are you actually trying to tell me that everything that guy posted is not truehuh

be honest to yourself my friend (thats actually part of the problem he pointed out; general and self honesty is lacking in every aspect of our society)

The first step to actually solving a problem is the admittance of such problem existing undecided

Dee60: Let us pray.

We need leaders that will truly fight this greatest menace of our country: Corruption.

Left for the current crop of politicians, they will rather continue to promote it!

Our fate is in the hands of God. Please LORD, change our hearts and change our leaders.

To all true Nigerians, time is ripe for us to embrace change.

We cannot continue this way.
im guessing you didnt read the entire post. Everyday we all sit and say god will help us god will help us. I've never heard anytime in history where god actually came down to help anybody.

If we dont wake up and sort our problems out ourselves, our country will only get worse. Painful but true, Nigeria in its present form is a practical joke undecided

Christianity EtcRe: Ese Walter Is A Liar !!! No Second Service In Abuja: adeleye by Areaboy2(m): 11:11am On Aug 24, 2013
legendprac: I don't wanna 'say' anytin until all facts r established.....

Her story talks abt a second service.... And the OP says no second service @ coza... Wht we should do is to first find out if COZA was having two services like Ese walters mentioned.... We shouldn't attack Ese nor the Op yet
Second service or no second service is really irrelevant here. Do you know how much balls it takes for someone to come openly and say things like that? I have no doubt it happened. How it happened and who led who to do what is also VERY irrelevant.

on a different note,

I see people saying "why didn't she run when he said come and sit on my lap"? Really? Really?

I'm not a pastor but I'm sure I can make 1 out of 10 girls come sit on my lap by just asking. 1 out of 10 is more than enough considering the number of girls in his church. Not everyone is as strong willed as you guys think, the onus therefore is on the older more experienced and so - called "God fearing" man to protect the young lady.

What a shame the way people rain abuses on the poor girl. For me, as long as there is a possibility that such a thing can happen I leave my mind open. But in this case, considering the power church members give to their pastors and MOG's, I believe Ese

The only way i can see this story otherwise is if Mr Pastor comes out as gay undecided

First of all, the object will become a projectile with its initial velocity equal to the velocity of the moving car if you just dropped it and not throw.

labiola: If you believe in something why can't you go for it. If you think that land could be useful for agriculture, what stop you from approaching the govt to get the land and commence farming that will feed a state. I was at the just concluded RCCG convention and I can tell you the economic benefits that flow in that place is more than N500m. The pure water seller, handkeichief seller, petty traders, transporters etc benefited from such economics benefit. Did all the money go to RCCG pocket. Whether you like it or not RCCG has contributed economically into well being of low income earners.
My friend, slap yourself.

What nonsense.. with people like you churning out such nonsense, what hope has the country got?. You take everything given to you hook line and sinker and come here to say pure water sellers are an economic benefit of such massive waste of land.. You go school at all? undecided
