Part of the French Riviera bordering on the Mediterranean sea to the South & Italy to the South-East. A very nice holiday region. But i do not like the tourist crowd too much. I prefer slightly to the West not far from Spain. In the ancient Languedoc-Rousillon region now called Occitania. I first learn about the area long ago in Roman conquest of Gaul (ancient France) coming from Italy through the Alps to Iberia (now Spain & Portugal).

My dear, God works in mysterious ways. Maybe providence used the guy to stop her going & nothing else.

I remember a girl who arrived in London some years back. A day or so later, she jumped off London route master (advanced version of molue back then) red bus right into the path of a car passing by. She died instantly. Many London based NLers will remember the incident.

OK. But consider this. You can never be sure how your wife & your folks will get along. Even if you wish it should all be one big happy family. The way our parents, especially mums lived their lives, serving all the in-laws is not what we can expect from a modern woman, however nice, lovely & sweet she may be. A modern wife needs privacy with her man & nuclear family. It is therefore smart on a man's part to consider this. If you have two separate 2 x 3 bedroom flats, your nuclear family can occupy one & your folks the other. It saved my female relative from her in-laws troubles that her hubby built two flats together. A modern hardworking man also needs peace on returning from a hard day's work.

Our own lovely folks may not always get along with the dear wife. An age-old phenomenon that has not really changed.

From experience years back, hardly anyone needs more than 3 bedrooms. Especially those in diaspora who spend less than 6 weeks a year in Nigeria. Or those in Lagos building prestige edifices for only Xmas in the village.

Many of us have made that error before.

Build moderately & invest the remaining money. Or add to build another investment property.

Depending on the calibre of the estate & management, maintenance of the estate might be sub-par. And they do it at their leisure. Even after people have paid for it. E.g. drainage to avoid flooding. Privates estates o.

I have seen such cases on you-tube with landlord association people complaining. Around Lekki/Ajah axis.

With time, many government estates simply become dilapidated. Just see Festac & all those Gowon Estate & co.

Edo guys are some of the most successful with foreign women. Or even Nigerian ladies from other tribes. Like Stephanie Okereke-Linus, Omosexy, Josephine Anenih, Stella Oduah, Mercy Johnson, Ini Edo previously and very many others. Igbo wives a very many in my extended family. An Hausa wife too. The current first lady of Edo State is not from Edo. And Iara before that.

We have no problem with our ladies marrying other tribes either like Daisy Danjuma, late Stella Obasanjo, Mercy Aigbe, etc. Two aunties of mine married non-Edo persons back in the 1950s already.

Please first ensure it was really a theft and not an error or misunderstanding.
