Setaje:Any medical evidence of the previous diagnosis and what happened later/healing? Psychologically, believing in a higher being is very comforting and offers hope. This positive/upbeat state of mind is actually good for overall health and immune system. And physiologically we know that the body itself is the biggest healer. The body constantly fights disease causing processes daily. Like correcting errors in cell replication that otherwise could cause cancer. Displastic (pre-cancerous) cells are mopped up. Even cancerous (but encapsulated) tissue might still be arrested by the body. A prof gave me an example: when he was a young medic, a man came into the clinic for his screening result. Diagnosis was cancer. But the patient wasn't even fazed by the announcement. The man left the clinic and never returned to commence treatment. 25 years later, the man/patient (now in his 70s) walked into the same clinic. Co-incidentally the young medic, now a prof and consultant was the doc on duty. The patient said he has not been to any hospital in 25 years. And the last time he came here 25 years ago, he was told he had cancer that could kill him. He said he lived everyday as if it would be his last, but 25 years on, he's still going fine. Then it struck the prof. He brought out the medical record from 25 years back. It was him for real! This happened in the West. Suppose it was in Africa and he had seen his pastor for prayer 25 years back, it would be tagged a miracle. Religion is a good thing. It preaches love & hope. But we Africans have turned it into "bread & butter" quick fix thing. As for DM & HTN patients being told to discard medication by pastors, this is not a joke anymore o. It's getting out of hand. We have lost too many African people to stroke in the past few years. Even in diaspora. We cannot be creating premature widows, widowers & orphans because of some pastors' recklessness. In fact advising patients to stop treatment should be a serious criminal offence. I remember this corpulent African lady who came in by ambulance. She had stopped her HTN medication. And was doing all this singing and dancing in the church one Sunday. With her hands in the air. suddenly she lost control of one hand, and suddenly was slumping to the ground when a medical personnel dancing next to her saw her droopy one side of face and her struggle and quickly grabbed her and sat her down. She was left with life-changing physical impairment after rehab. No husband & no kids before that happened. Others I know didn't survive it. One was a senior pastor who died in the first week of this year 2017. DM patients are having serious complications like retinopathy leading to visual impairment/blindness, neuropathy causing sores & amputations, nephropathy leading to kidney damage that would require dialysis/transplant, etc |

Ok. So at the end of jail term, you now do an elaborate thanks giving. chai! One just have to give up on 9ja. Our moral compass as a society has broken down fully. Ibori has the guts to do this because he knows that all others are doing it. Just maybe many of those states have smaller allocation from FG and therefore have less to steal. Very shameful indeed. |
The guy use style resemble Lagbaja o. ![]() |
Inspectorsuga:My brother I tire o. He may have intended to travel next day from there, we do not know. Some people check into hotels other than for sexcapade. To strategise peacefully & quietly on business or even meet up with business partners. The truth is that honestly, in 9ja only very few men tell their wives everything about their business dealings. And I do not think every wife wanna know the nitty-gritty of husband's dealings. They just need the hubby to provide. |
bigpastor:Victim's privacy is often respected in criminal cases unless they wave their right. Especially victims of rape & other sensitive cases. To avoid societal stigma. Nothing to do with gender. If the lady was the victim, she would also remain unnamed. Both grown ass adults agreed to go do whatever in an hotel, like millions do worldwide each day. One party then plotted to, acquired & administered a substance illegally to render the other party unconscious without his consent and proceeded to abandon him in that state and made away with all his personal effects, conspiring with another person to take part in the crime and went on to put up a stolen property for sale. The man did nothing illegal. He might even be an atheist and therefore not believe in what you believe. If he's a Christian he can forgive the woman personally but the law must take its full course. Now suppose that doctor was taking a medication that can cause fatality if used with the "substance" used to drug him, he could have died there alone. |
Kondomatic:Word! Men never think twice before giving. If a guy asked this same question, I'm sure about 90% of guys would say yes even if just to form "gentleman" to Nairaland ladies. And 99.999% of ladies here would say help of course. @OP: If you want to help the guy make it a "loan". That way he will wake up every morning striving to succeed and pay back. But only give what you can afford to easily forfeit should the business fail. AND NEVER EXPECT ANYTHING IN RETURN. If you help also do not make him feel indebted or remind him of it at the slightest provocation. But ensure he's the business-minded type. Because of lots of people are natural salary men. What could happen is as the business grows or struggles, he might ask for more loan to expand or prop it up. If you give, it might still fail. If you don't give it could be perceived that you wanted him to fail. It would depend on his character & attitude to life. If all goes well, all will be happy. |
zpakln:Lol. |

Aguveso:Just saw your post. Thank God for your life my brother. What is the land turning to? |
princetom1:But there is time for everything my friend. We that are are alive how can we say/assume that he sinned more than us? Even the most faithful/pious die. RIP. |
Before nko? Nor be 9ja be dis? Was Abacha not nominated as presidential candidate by all the parties of the time? If Dr Oyenusi & Anini came back to life today, they could become leading politicians. Nothing is strange in 9ja anymore. |
Sigh. Nairaland dry today gan. |
Very nice. One loses a lot of money building from diaspora if you cannot be on ground. Very unfortunate. Corruption & cheating is a DNA thing in 9ja now. |
Dopest yam of life. Scientists should study that soil content and the yam species. |
boomey:. While the women who used their legs to go meet him in his bank workplace should be awarded GCFR. Well done. The only person he has offended is his wife. The mother has been sleeping around since the banker even arrived in Asaba and her daughter obviously copied her as the article says. Even badmouthing her mother (rightly). The woman might even have concealed her married status in the beginning, as an MVP donatus. Do you even how many men have slept with both mother & daughter over the years? If not for the pregnancies, nobody would have known about this case. All of them messed up. |

Bhuldoxxa:@dsettingz: Seconded. At least make an attempt to defer. Then try to work & save money ahead. Seek help too. If you have family issues like bereavement that has affected your ability to meet up financially and emotionally, it might work with school senate. But convince them that you will cope well and how you will do it when you resume. |

Orikinla1:Awo, Zik, Akintola, Okotie-Eboh Jaja Wachuku, Dr Imoke, Enahoro, Dim Ojukwu and most Southern first Republic gladiators all returned from abroad. Or you mean Nigerians were more hygienic in the 1940s to 60s when most places had not pipe water or boreholes? Or you mean they never shook hands with natives? Those Guys died naturally or in a coup. My brother only God saves. |
Maybe na copper enter their drinking water to over-activate konji area of the brain. ![]() Because they have copper mines. ![]() |
Better now than divorce. At least he's man enough to avoid cheating in marriage. Girls break up engagement and marry a richer guy daily. Nothing new. Another guy will love her attributes. |
Cool. |
Hmmm...... These people really know something we don't know. No doubt anymore. |
Why always marathon sex? Olympic sex & Commonwealth Games sex nko? |
awa:Why should we rejoice over more debt? Not like they're gonna use the "borrowed" money judiciously. Will the money finally build a hospital that is good enough to conduct "medical check up & tests" on Buhari or improve Naira rate to $1 = 225 where Buhari met it in May 2015? |
BankManager:Did Nigeria manage to run a national airline successfully for over 20 tears now? Much less an already indebted one? ![]() |
makydebbie:They end up with yahoo boys and married men as second or third wife. ![]() |
