doublewisdom:Did they actually believe in that help? At least in GEJ's time, we found it hard to believe America will not help fight terrorists and we waited. In Good faith. But even the urbane GEJ later accepted help will not come and went East. Quite delayed but we saw Boko being seriously damaged before May 29th. What excuse do we have to believe America will help now? After our lesson from last regime's belief help will come but never came? Oh, some think GMB's body language can remote-control Americans. ![]() |
Realflex:Seconded. ![]() |
This life is ironic o. See serious dream wife material go marry fyn boy without plan. And as a virgin too. And many wonderful men fall for one chance ladies, chai! Love and all that are crucial. But love & family have to be sustained with hardwork & money. Never marry a spouse that does not share, understand or support your dreams. He sees OP as omo baba olowo. Daddy can always come to the rescue. OP for now just focus on your life, kids & education (you dey try sha). Your man's background is playing a role. He comes from a struggling, day-to-day life background. You came from an organised and aspirational family. Big difference. In a university environment, the illusion that all are same may persist. But we have largely been "formed" and set in our ways before coming to university. Lots of people marry for the "wrong" reasons. That greatly increases the chances of couples later growing apart. Hopefully your man will rediscover himself as a husband and father that should provide, nurture and support. Put it in prayer. |
Who be this Rukky kinikon sef? Which chemical factory dem for pull her comot? Because she's like bleached/processed leather. Is that why they call her sandals? And this is the kind of living thing that likes to parade as a celebrity. With this kind woman serving as role model, no wonder womanhood is getting into serious crisis. Na wa o. |
Most won't read, too long. Very apt though. |
fratermathy:I get your point. But nor let Isoko people hear o. The similarity is obvious but we live in a nation where tribes assert their independence. Even Okpe sometimes wish to stand out from mainstream Urhobo, let alone Isoko. I'm actually a fan of the greater Edoid culture. Esan, Benin, Urhobo/Okpe, Isoko, Owan, Degema and many more should become familiar with the various cultures. A Bini man should aspire to learn Urhobo, an Urhobo should aspire to learn Afemai and so on. By doing so, we can feel comfortable in our own unique ethnic identity and equally feel part of a wider ancestral family and indeed Nigeria. |
Not to forget another great Edoid nation of Isoko. Another beautiful culture. |
Is that River Osse/Ovia during August rain or what? Lawd have mercy! |
yomi007k:Bad guy. How you take pirate my ideas? I was gonna write almost exactly what you wrote. Word for word. You nailed it. EOD. |
Gboliwe:Chai! See advert for babalawos. |
Sessyjee:Well it depends on school & course. But exam is 65% to 90%. Certainly in science, engineering, medical/dental etc. We had first test on first Friday of first term of first year. Totally unscheduled. Many foreign students were still abroad sorting visa! In clinical disciplines, without a complete log book and passed assessment in your clinical placement, no chance to even sit end of year exam. Automatic fail. Because facilities and course delivery are impeccable, expectations are high too. Just to pass a clinical paper can be 87 to 95%. To whom much is given, much is expected. No sorting lecturer to upgrade marks. Since the thread is talking about 9ja abroad, most are not politicians' kids. Most have to work to earn money. How many Law/engineering/medical students in 9ja do cleaning from 9pm to 6am before going to school in the morning? All that available food, light, housing, good transport have to be paid for. If you cannot pay, you don't get them. Not to mention expensive school fees. |
madridguy:Ok. But you believe they signed an affidavit in the court of law not to contest for leadership of NASS as long as they are APC members? I'm trying to get the logic sir. ![]() |
madridguy:Chai! See logic on its head. A party gave you a platform to be governor or senator or rep and you turn round and transfer your mandate, resources and followership to another party and that's not betrayal? We all have freedom to aspire to any political office. Party membership does not supercede that right going by your logic. |
charlzchudi:Before nko? Who believed that before? Maybe some gullible people. The so called fight against corruption is a mere revenge against independent minded party members. To expect loyalty from people who attained political prominence under other parties and yet betrayed those parties shows crass naivety of APC people. How can one expect unalloyed loyalty from the likes of Atiku, Amaechi, Saraki and many others if they are not getting their way? They said even Orubebe was joining APC last time. Kikilikiki. ![]() |
TonyeBarcanista:Well, we saw the dirty tricks to oust GEJ. Nothing is beyond APC when it comes to fight for power. Whether within their party or without. |
Many reasons: the learning environment is conducive. Those admitted are there on merit. Lecturers are excellent. The drive to succeed when away from home is big. Many of us did menial jobs, suffered to fund our studies. You just have to do well. I was at university with rich Western kids, despite entering with top grades and been through £20,000 a year private boarding secondary schools, those without motivation ended up with 3rd class and lucky ones with a 2.2. The 5 to 10% who got first class were very bright ones, many on national scholarship from India, China, South Korea, Argentina etc. Others were very motivated white middle class or Africans getting first or 2.1. These are top schools I'm talking about. As for the average ranked schools most Africans come to attend, I can assume that there might be less competition since the very brightest go to Ivy league/Red Brick/ Russell Group elite universities. |
dowai:But you know common sense is not common. Despite education, we're a bunch of very gullible people. That's why politicians and prosperity preachers easily get rich. On the back of poor people. Where did they get branded rice or grain bags from? And all the supplies/vehicles? Suddenly, Shekau is dumb, hardly any firebrand tapes. All the secret will become open one day. They are gradually disbanding the terrorists. Releasing some prisoners to use them again in the future. To grab power. If needs be. |
V8. 4.7L. Chai, this car na beast. Very solid on express. Location Sir? Any mechanical/gear/electrical issues? |
Hope6289:Very ignorant and brainwashed suggestion. Some churches make you go way out of God's way. Church does not bring you closer to God. Your faith does. And faith is not equal to church going. Yes a good church could nourish your faith but THERE ARE ONLY VERY FEW TODAY. All those shouting & jumping up and down have nothing to do with faith. OP, I guess you have a more subconscious & deliberate reason for abstaining. Even if not obvious to you. Make the Bible your companion, Jesus your friend, read and pray to God for guidance & understanding of the Word. Like many other people, I guess she's begiining to see all the hypocrisy and mere ritual/routine nature of Christianity today. How worldly all has become. You're not alone. God will need people to cleanse the body of Christ. It has to begin with some people. We don't know who. Martin Luther, John Calvin and others began their reformation by first becoming disatisfied by the way the church was then. I was preaching the Good News all over town even as 12 or 13 years old boy. A time Christian evangelism was still mostly the work of Jehovah's Witness. When pentecostalism was not yet lucrative. What I see today is pathetic. A worldly quest for fame and wealth. And to see the sheep so gullible. My study of Christian Theology, Ethics & Philosphy under eminent Christian theologians made me to seriously question the status quo. I have since returned to "Oyinbo" Church. At least there, despite their own flaws, they do not fleece people or do hocus pocus or promise miracles they cannot perform. |
Cute baby girl. Never heard of her parents though. ![]() |
Cool |
safarigirl:Hahaha. Men are not necessarily gullible, that is called benefit of the doubt. And it's gradually becoming a rare commodity though. Such liars ultimately give women a bad name. When we get liar alert, we just sometimes just pretend. Some just bleep and leave. Hehehehehe. |
Omeny:Abi o. Na to try catch some fun no matter the circumstance. Na only one life person get. ![]() |
godoluwa:Hehehehehe. Before nko? ![]() But when will she start wearing buba and gele? The thing go fit her. On a second thought, I don't want her packing Edo State money to go buy 700K Ankara dress from that Elizade daughter. ![]() |
safarigirl:We don hear all the bicycle story long tym. How many 9ja women engage in sport?? Many babes will like these excuses. ![]() Luckily, a woman's body is not an unknown entity to me. I have even heard it from a girl I was to marry. She claimed virgin. Funny thing was I didn't even care about virgin or not, since it's mostly all wash. I didn't say I wanted one. She just lied. It later turned out she had destroyed her womb via abortion as a 15-year old or so. I have mentioned here in NL many times before. Yes, it might seem like a joke now, but I wasted several years with that lady. Your excuses have been used to cause people pain already. Oh yeah, last time, a friend's virgin fiance had abortion complication. A colleague does hymen repair for some ladies from rich countries (I nor wan mention country names o) whose religion/culture insist on virginity. Over 90% lost virginity bleeping like their Western colleagues. A few from using toys and other activities. Abeg Safari girl, let's forget and leave matter for Matthias. ![]() |
safarigirl:Lol. I read a lot of anatomy books, yet first time dissecting, arteries were not so distinct from veins like in textbook. Reading is one thing, practical is different. As far as I am concerned, a virgin without intact hymen that bleeds is not one. Secondary one at best. A girl already heavily fing.ered and done all except receiving manliness is no virgin. But hey, who am I to dispute the enlightened opinion of a romance guru and doyen like Safarigirl. ![]() |
PunkyVeer:Lol. I don't think the virgin stuff is all that. Imagine blood all over the place and the lady has no idea how to return mechanics. ![]() In those days when sex was for procreation only, maybe bedmatic skills didn't matter. Now lack of skills can lead to adultery. Though both sex & virginity are over-rated. |
Which year was this old horse built? Current location? Can it travel to Benin or Warri? Someone might need it to use on farm earth road. |
TonyeBarcanista:The guy spoke as a Christian. He has to sue for peace as a national leader. Should he have advised Christians to take up arms? Of course not. We all know Boko are bloodthirsty never-do-well cretins. They just need to give up their rebellion without cause. Then as wounds gradually heal, forgiveness would be a lot easier. |
Ok |
FriedPlantain:Your mouth sef. How you take know? Things do happen, like oversleeping after serious awoko. ![]() |
CaptPlanet:You're right. Some do want to use. But if there was none available genuinely, I wonder how many would totally refuse. |
