He is hungry, that is why. His market value would raise after the competition. |
Very disgraceful performance. We couldn't even score against Guinea Bissau. We are never going past the round of 16. |
Onyeka and Semi Ajayi are disasters waiting to happen for Nigeria. Always making senseless tackles. |
Imagine. This is a disgrace!!! Thank God for offside. |
If we took our chances, we would have topped this group. From what we have seen thus far, I don't see any team that we can beat outside this group. |
Fira09:Yes, one season wonder. He did not play a full season with Lille. |
Fira09:We are all talking about his time in Napoli, not Lille. |
Ironbull:Hustling? People use this word only for people doing well financially. They make it seem like if you are not rich, you are not hustling or not hustling hard enough. They will even call you lazy. I tell people that hustle needs grace to flourish. The difference between a rich musician and a struggling musician is not always about the hustle or even gift. Most times, it is just LUCK. There are thousands of upcoming musicians in Nigeria, but only about 9% of them will blow enough to earn a living from their music. It is very obvious. I am sure there is hardly any home in Nigeria where you don't have someone doing music or aspiring to be a musician. Yet, only a few would actually be lucky enough to make it. Hear the story of Wande Coal. Wande Coal forced a demo into the hand of Don Jazzy after a concert. Don Jazzy could have thrown the demo away, but something made him listen to it, and that was how Wande Coal became a signee. That is luck. If Wande Coal had not found favour in the eyes of Don Jazzy, he might have ended up abandoning his gift out of frustration. |
Fira09:Lille or Napoli? Anyway, there is really nothing special about that guy. I don't see him repeating that performance in Serie A. |
seniorkachion:Quarter Finals (not Semi Finals). |
ravensckar:Exactly. I don't see the hype, honestly. |
Fira09:Osimhen always scoring against teams like Lesotho, Sierria Leone, Benin Republic, Chad... I doubt if he would even knock Ighalo off that chart, not to mention Rashidi Yekini, Agahowa or Segun Odegbami. The guy is just one hype job. I doubt he would even replicate last season's performance in Serie A if he stays. |
The ones in school overcharge their parents. They overcharge for school fees, course materials, field trips, house rents, project works... I overheard one female student calling home and overcharging school fees. I know that she was overcharging her parents because I have the school fees breakdown with me. Both male and female students do this. Then, there are also those into fraud. I hear that females are doing Yahoo Yahoo too now. And then, there are the hookup girls. These ones usually have a business that they are doing as a front. They might have a hair salon or a provision shop or online shoe, bags and wig store. |
Splashme:Which Igbos don't do beggi beggi? Many social media beggars are Igbos, both male and female. You will find them on every social media platform, from Facebook to X (formerly Twitter). |
Federalis:Yes, there are white people with albinism. |
lexy2014:You have absolutely nothing to say. That was why I made that post. You had all the trappings of a time waster. The shortest route to save both of our time is to come to the agreement that Burkina Faso is not a small footballing country. Never mind that they didn't qualify in 2019 (Nigeria did not qualify for 2015 despite being defending champions) but they have been in 4 AFCONS since 2013, and have been in the semis 3 times, adding silver medals and bronze medals to their catalogue of awards. The so-called big teams like Morocco, Ghana, and even Algeria have been inconsistent, especially Algeria. |
JASONjnr:You are the only one seeing Soyinka's hatred for Peter Obi. Why would Soyinka even hate Obi? I don't like calling out tribes, but I don't know why many of you Igbos have this persecution complex, always believing that people hate you. |
AcuraZDX:Show us evidence that Soyinka called anyone shepopotamus. This is the reason why Soyinka said he hated granting interviews. |
God1000:Yes, elections have come and gone, but people still continue to ethnically profile people. Any small thing, you will find election losers profiling people. There was a post on Facebook where Burna Boy was driving through the street of Lagos and some people were running after him, obviously asking for money. Some idiots wrote that they were Yorubas already suffering the repercussions of voting for Tinubu. |
lexy2014:First of all, the term did not originate from me, so stop playing dumb just to waste my time. A country which has consistently reached the semis in Africa biggest football league since 2013 is not a team you can call small. It is something even a child should understand. In 2017, they were ranked the 35th best team in the world by FIFA. A powerhouse is an entity with a lot of power. Burkina Faso is currently ranked 10th in Africa, with the top 9 only negligible points over them. Despite explaining it to you that a team which has won silver and bronze and made a fourth place in 4 AFCONs since 2013 is a powerhouse in its own rights, you are still asking stupid question. I am not going to go down that fruitless path with you. Burkina Faso is not a small African footballing country, and the records are there to prove it. |
lexy2014:Define an African football powerhouse? |
lexy2014:A powerhouse in their own right. Since 2013, they have played in every AFCON semi-finals except in 2015. 2013: They made the finals and lost to Nigeria. 2017: They made the semi finals and won bronze. 2019: They didn't qualify. 2021: They made the semi finals but finished in fourth place. This is far better than Algeria who are so inconsistent. |
lexy2014:Burkina Faso is not a small footballing nation o. |
Elsudani2:It is a 50-50 match. Whenever Ghana meets any of Nigeria or Egypt, it is always a 50-50 game. |
Ghana might beat Egypt o. The Black Stars don't take matches against Nigeria or Egypt lightly. It is always a do-or-die affair for them. |
Midehi3:You can't give what you don't have. Don't expect any magic. Osimhen is average at best. Maybe slightly above average. |
Donaldoni:It is not going to be that easy. In the end, he will tell them that the life they have is a blessing. Some people will make certain improvements in their lives that they would count as blessing. Many of them would find it difficult to ask for a refund because they would not be able to prove that they have not been blessed in one way or the other. Pastors are the greatest scammers in the world. |
ekelebeXstunner:They don't fall awkwardly and land head first on concrete. In sports, how you fall can sometimes play a role in the extent of injuries you sustain. That is why players work hard at training. Lazy players would usually sustain more career-threatening injuries than hardworking players. |
Yugoslavia247:Look at the height. And it is concrete. Have you fallen like that before while playing football? That is a fatal fall. If he manages to survive, the least he would get is a concussion. But that fall was bad. |
The sister did a terrible thing by throwing away 15 cans of formula. That is a lot of money. The breastfeeding is not the issue for me. It is the waste of food and money. I know how much I spend on food for my daughter every week. And then, someone takes 15 cans of food and throws them away. If my sister or brother did something like that to me, I won't take it easy on them. |
Trustmea:Jealousy and envy over what? If not for the noise, I don't think I would have even noticed the guy. It was like when Abacha died, and every Nigerian was rejoicing. Would you call that envy or relief. It was relief? |
