MrPOTUS:Hippos are occasional omnivores. They have been known (occasionally, though) to eat meat. |
IVORY2009:Abeokuta has just four universities. For me, I think Ibadan has the most number of universities. I don't know about other cities in Nigeria. |
Stupid people. Aside the fact that the coach is a grade z coach, he is owed months of salaries, and these idiots expect performance. If we miss the next world cup, it would not be funny at all. The U-17 world cup is ongoing, but we are not even there. Nothing to give us any joy in the midst of this economic hardship. |
Balablue64:People made their choice, move on. Obi lost. Atiku lost. Someone had to win. It is not like any of Atiku or Obi would have performed any miracle. |
Bliss62:The price of chicken feeds is increasing. And these chickens eat voraciously. |
efe21:I didn't say he is a totally bad person. But he is not the greatest Yoruba person. That is my point. |
Vinnie2000:I know you are not Yoruba. I can't understand why you can't mind your own business. It shouldn't concern you whether he is better than Tinubu. That is debatable. The issue is how does your own father measure to Tinubu? That should concern you more. |
galileo180:There is something missing in the story. Why must he travel back with her to the village after the wedding? Why? Is there an unfinished business in the village which is more important than opening the vault on Tuesday? And, did your brother not arrange with his employer(s) to take a few days off? For my wedding, I took three days off. Not that I needed the three days after wedding, but I had to make room for one or two personal things that might crop up after the wedding on short notice. I ended up spending a week away away from work. But that is in a school. The same might not obtain in a bank. Perhaps, it is more important for your brother to resume at work on Tuesday than for him to be in the village. Whichever is the case, communication is key. And you yourself have not really communicated the real issue to us. |
Vinnie2000:First of all, Obasanjo is not even close to the top 10 list of greatest Yorubas ever. There is Obafemi Awolowo (established the first newspaper in Nigeria and the first TV station in Africa), Herbert Macaulay (founder of the first political party in Nigeria), Wole Soyinka (the first black Nobel Prize winner in Literature), Hubert Ogunde (regarded as father of modern Nigerian theatre), D.O. Fagunwa (legendary writer), Fela Anikulapo Kuti (Father of Afrobeat), Amos Tutuola (undeniably the first West African writer of English expression to win considerable international recognition.) Jimoh Buraimoh (credited with being Africa's first head painter.) The Saparas, the Crowthers (founder of the first university in the whole of Africa)... Who the heck is Obasanjo? Without political powers or influence, what did he achieve by sheer natural gifts or talents? No doubt, he has achieved much by virtue of political powers, but there are far greater Yoruba sons than him. In fact, placing him beside Awolowo is an embarrassment to the Yoruba people. |
I hope someone didn't have to take a loan to pay for this? Some men are still paying off loans they took for a wedding that happened years ago. |
I don't like kilishi. So, I don't understood the hype. |
Tochi360:He went to a party where he was sure of clinching the ticket. He knew he could not clinch the ticket in PDP and quickly resigned. He didn't go to APC because he didn't stand a chance. Which foolish resume was he confident about? |
FuckingMachine:She was there with him when he had nothing. Now, that he has made it, he is trying to be smart. All these useless girls who don't want to build with a man but want to enjoy other women's sweat deserve a death sentence. |
Mayeldah:They must have used something else. Then someone experimented with cotton threads. The whites don't want us to know that we were versed in our own type of medicine. In fact, we had our own anaesthesia for surgery before the whites ever dreamt of coming to our shores. |
illicit:It is not placebo? Placebo effect is experienced by people who actually have or feel like they have a medical/health/psychological issue. The placebo is administered by someone of trust like a doctor or pastor who then tells the patient that he is giving them medicine. Babies don't have such knowledge. |
Bobloco:People like you never see anything wrong with something as long as you have someone to mention as some benchmark. You might as well tell Nigerians in Harvard to drop out since Bill Gates dropped out and still became a billionaire. It is a foolish thing to burn your certificates. What does burning your certificate achieve. The only thing it achieves is more frustration especially when opportunities come and you start running helter skelter for replacement. And there are organizations which would not even look at replacements or affidavits. Or tell me, what would burning his certificates achieve? What positive thing would it achieve? Rant all you want, but leave the damn certificates alone. I am currently in a job that I don't fancy, especially now that I have more mouths to feed. It has been months that I last saw my certificates, but I keep them safe, including my WAEC certificate because you can never tell when a big opportunity would come your way. |
Goddyrichie:There is something wrong with your mentality. So, if your child suddenly becomes wealthy, you won't ask questions about what he does for a living? Your own is to chop the money with him abi? |
Dino's undoing is his mouth. Abusing his elders up and down. An adult and a man (for that matter) who can't control his tongue. The Saraki for whom he was abusing Tinubu and Buhari back then is now as powerless as a stick, even in Ilorin politics. |
Goddyrichie:Yes, BTC and all that. But this guy, what does he do for a living? Is it bad to ask? This is how we encourage stealing. A boy would come home with a lambo and the mother would be dancing instead of being worried, knowing that her son does not have anything substantial doing. That is why our young boys are into yahoo yahoo because we don't have a culture which questions the source of wealth. |
ednut1:You are wrong. It is not about whether you have vaginal sex or anal sex. The reason why it might seem like anal sex is more risky is because the anus can tear easily, especially if penetrated without lubricants. HIV transmission depends on the viral load of the affected person. A person with an insignificant viral load cannot infect another person even if the person penetrates them vaginally or anally. If Aunty Mercy is HIV positive but has an insignificant viral load, Uncle Tom can penetrate her and not get infected. Someone who is HIV positive and takes their drugs regularly would soon significantly reduce their viral load and would therefore not be able to infect anyone, not matter the type of sex they have. But someone who has a high viral load is very infectious. People are scared of HIV even though HIV is a weak virus. The virus we really need to be scared of is Hepatitis B which is stronger and far more highly contagious. |
Timothy89:Honestly, nearly all of them are foolish. |
Goddyrichie:Which young European boy has a lambo or Tesla? It is either he is a successful musician, athlete (especially footballer, boxer, golfer or basketballer) or a movie star or music executive. My own problem is not that a young man owns a Ferrari. My problem is what does he do for a living? We, Africans, need to start asking these questions, instead of worshipping money. |
That is the problem with these young Nigerians. Once you don't have a lucrative profession, just stay low. There are many great cars out there that you could use and still stay under the radar. A Ferrari is an overkill for an unknown percussionist. That is how they become easy pickings for EFCC here in Nigeria. You call yourself an upcoming musician and you own a Ferrari. Even if you are a sugar boy, I am sure no sugar mummy will buy you a Ferrari that she knows you don't have the means to maintain. |
Being distracted or being intentional has nothing to do with paper or online Bible. Reading the paper Bible does not mean your phone won't ring or you won't get notifications which would then take you away briefly from your Bible reading. It happens when I read paperback books too, and I receive a notification on my phone and go and check. Even if your phone does not distract you from your reading, there are many other things that would. And intentionality also has nothing to do with the format in which you read your Bible. What matters itself is intentionality, not the Bible format. You can be reading the paper Bible and still be distracted. You can't simply remove distractions by choosing to read paper Bibles alone. As long as you have your mobile phone around you, you will be distracted if you receive a notification or a call, especially if you are someone who does his business online. |
Long Live MTN. I am back to my MTN. Now, I will ensure never to accumulate airtime/data loan again. |
Prettygirl200:Airtel will never do that. They are very selfish. If you owe Airtel 1 kobo of airtime, you can't buy data because they will use your money meant for data to repay the airtime loan. This is unlike MTN. You can owe MTN airtime loan, and still be able to buy data. |
saphiere:What right thing has Burna Boy done? Yet, he has a Grammy award and 3 nominations for 2024 Grammys. |
nairalanda1:People are not detained on suspicion, but can be detained on REASONABLE suspicion, which is less than probable cause which warrants the use of a handcuff. Maybe you should check the meaning of suspicion It is a hunch. You don't detain someone because you have a hunch. |
nairalanda1:Police detain based on reasonable suspicion. We all know Nigerian police don't follow this globally standard procedure. Evidence can be seen recently when over 60 OAU students were arrested by the EFCC only for many of them to be released. |
Jewessgratitud3:What nonsense are you jabbering? So, it is an offense to not suspect anything? So, the police would arrest him by saying, "Mr, you are under arrest for not suspecting anything"? I have always said it that our police is a reflection of the average Nigerian. |
epainos:What nonsense are you jabbering? Don't politicians embezzle money all over the world? |
epainos:It is because of people like you that discipline has failed to work in Africa. Long ago, people were more disciplined. There was a time when you dare not report at home that your teacher beat you. But today, you have parents coming to school to beat teachers up. And people like you would look away. Many of today's kids are so mannerless that I fear for the future. |
