Those looking for the sympathetic votes of Northern Christians should come here and see with their eyes so that more energy can be put for another strategy or risk expecting the unexpected.
Southern Kaduna People’s Democratic Party Councilors Forum has vowed to ensure victory for the party’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar; the state governorship candidate, Isa Ashiru and their Southern Kaduna PDP senatorial candidate, Sunday Marshal Katung.
According to the forum, the Southern Kaduna zone needs a vibrant senator to represent them at the National Assemble due to the problems facing the region.
The Chairman of the councilors forum, Obed Danjuma Gankon, alongside his members from the zone stated this shortly after declaring their support for the PDP Senatorial candidate. “As elected Councilors of our great party, we are restating our commitment, loyalty, and readiness to work for the success of PDP; for the success of Atiku Abubakar as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the success of Alh. Isa Mohammed Ashiru as Governor of Kaduna State, for the success of Barr. Sunday Marshall Katung as Senator of our zone, and for the success of all our National and State House of Assembly candidates in the 2023 general elections,” Gankon said. He said many communities had been destroyed, leaving many citizens homeless in the senatorial District. Gankon said councillors will mobilise the people in the grassroots to ensure that all PDP candidates vying for different positions win to develop the state and southern Kaduna zone. He lamented that Southern Kaduna lacks roads, electricity, health care facilities, and industries, and the locals are displaced from their communities by bandits.
manmade: someone is afraid of something here but the truth can't be suppressed for long.
Validated: Why is Islam afraid? Thought they are more than Christians. 2923 will be a referebdum, mark it.
Save your comments and get back to me after 2023 General Elections. North may not vote e and won't encourage religious bias Election but with all the noise from evidently dispersed population index among the fanatics among you APC or PDP will win and nobody will give a Bleep abt the usual slogan of Islamization and marginalisation again.
yomi531: If Muslims truly have the numbers like u said , why are u guys scared of the inclusion of religion in census? Secondly , who told u only Muslims voted for buhari in 2015. Benue , Ondo, Lagos, Oyo, Osun,Ogun are all majority Christian states. Check the voting pattern of 2015 again . The states I mentioned here were all won by buhari. Christians are majority in naija. Guys like us can't be fooled
Lagos, Oyo, Osun, Ogun Christian majority states? That is why we always see u the way u are today....
indigenous234: Below is 13mins YouTube post by this america professor on how Buhari and his APC led government has bastardized our Country. Nigera is now put in the category of failed states...
Mentally inferior people. I can't see any reason why power should be given to people who don't still know that they're independent. US has average number of 40k homicide cases through gun violence annually which is about 4times the number of similar killings in Nigeria but mentally inferior people like u are in rush to accept the bias opinion of your slave masters. If US is as multi-ethnic and multi-religious as Nigeria the kind of carnage and massacre they'll have can't be imagined!
yomi531: U dey fear naa. U guys dont want us to expose ur lies . With about 20 states of Christian majority and some other states like kogi, nasarawa, Fct etc thats has almost equal number of Christians and Muslims , I make bold to say Christians are the majority in naija. Na fear fear dey do these northerners. They dont want us to know the truth. Shior
Your attitudes will really deteriorate the little tolerance Nigeria has. I don't know your age, you may be a kid but after 2011 General Elections many fanatic Christians occupied social media boasting that GEJ's winning election indicated that Christians are majority in Nigeria. However, Northeners were discontent and furious about how GEJ handled Boko Haram insurgency and made alliance with SW and took the power in 2015 and occupied all arms of Govts positions and look helpless.. Many of you have been crying like babies aspersing all forms bigotic comment on the ruling party. These attitudes have clearly shown that the fanaticism among Christians is incredibly outrageous. Muslims are so tolerant and don't bother to go to Churches and insist on making Muslim leaders of states they're majority. CAN plundered Nigeria into extreme religious division by asking GEJ to choose incompetent Namadi Sambo as his Deputy to pave way for Christian Governor in state for the first time, that decision made Muslims understood the bad omen the other faith have for them. The fact that Muslims tolerated more Christian Governors in Muslims majority state doesn't mean a measure of strength as you always do in excessive fanaticism. With all your noise and religious bias in intending coming up election, let see who becomes next President. Go and check the number of SIM subscribers and Voter registered across the Nation and assess the validity of religious population. We don't need this attitude to grow but sense and maturity!
Twist4u: Given the fact that the Current ruling Party APC have settled for a Muslim-Muslim ticket on the basis of Winnerability.
This have thrown up many questions begging for answer, one urgent questions is…
"Are Christian a minority population in Nigeria?
A quick follow up to this question
Isn’t it High time Christian evaluate it’s Popularity come 2023 election to test it’s Winnerability strength?
E get y as it is said in local parlance..
To determine its bargain power in Nigeria politics To understand whether it’s a second fiddle or not
To have control of the contested narrative that Muslims are majority In Nigeria
To set the records straight in the future decision concerning political direction in Nigeria.
In my opinion an evaluation of Christian popularity is an idea whose time has come in 2023. Expecially the population of Christian in the 19 Northern State.
I became very interested in having a vivid knowledge of Christian population from the 19 Northern state after I read an opinion post online by one “Prophet Isa El-Buba” titled “Are Christians Really A Minority In Nigeria?
In his Summary and Statistical data, Christian constitute Majority population of about 55% to 95% in some Northern state like, Kaduna, Jos, Taraba, Adamawa, Nasarawa, Benue and Abuja. While the Christian population is between 20 % – 45 % in State like Gombe, Bauchi, Kogi, Bornu, Kwara, Niger and Yobe. Whereas in Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara the population of Christian is between 5% - 20% .
Without wasting much time…
Here’s an excerpt from Prophet Isa El-Buba Opinion Article published online, titled : “Are Christians Really A Minority In Nigeria?
The century long Propaganda by the Colonial Masters and the Muslim Northerners who control the media in the North made the world believe Christians in the North are insignificant, maybe 95% muslims to 5% Christians.
The Nigerians in the South and middle belt have believed this too.
Many Southerners never believed there were indigenous Christians from Borno State until the Chibok girls kidnapped were 90% Christians, indigenous to Chibok in Borno State.
Find here the population statistics in the North of Nigeria:
NORTHERN CHRISTIAN
1) North East:
I. Adamawa state is 60 percent Christian.
II. Taraba State is 70 percent Christian (The muslims here fear the Christians who do not take any disrespectfully lying down).
III. Gombe State is 40 percent Christian(It could be more).
IV. Borno State is 30 Percent Christian.
V. Bauchi State is 20 Percent Christian.
VI. Yobe state is 20 percent Christian(it could be more).
2)North Central:
I. Benue is 95% percent Christian.
II. Plateau State is 90 percent Christian.
III. Nasarawa State: The two largest ethnic groups are:
a. Eggon, the largest ethnic group that is 80 percent Christian, and,
b. Mada: which is 90 percent Christian.
#. Others: are in the least of 65 percent Christian.
Nassarawa has alot of animists even in LGAs near Abuja the FCT.
IV. Kogi State is 60 percent Christian:
a. Igala is 70 percent Christian.
b. Okun is almost 100 percent Christians.
c. Ibira Land Christians are 30 percent.
V. Kwara: Christians are 40 percent(it could be more).
VI. Niger: 40 percent Christian (High number of animists in Niger especially among the Dukawa People in Rijau LGA of Niger State).
3) North West:
I. Kano: 10 percent Christian(It could be more with a very high population of Igbos who have been part of the driving force of commerce there for decades).
II. Katsina is 20 percent Christian (Christians could be up to 40% in Katsina, many indigenous Hausas in Katsina call Maguzawa are Christians).
III. Sokoto is 5 percent Christian.
IV. Zamfara is 20 percent Christian.
V. Kebbi State is 30 percent Christian(High number of animists & Idol Worshippers exist in Kebbi especially among the Zuru and Dukawa people in Shanga LGA and around Yauri).
VI. Kaduna State is 55 percent Christian (this population has been systematically thinned out under the watchful eyes of El-rufai).
The Middlebelt is not less than 50m People.
If Kaduna alone can have about 3 million Christians by 2006 census according to LGAs, the entire Northern Nigeria should have not less than 60 million Christians!
Thank you for taking your time to read.
By Prophet Isa El-Buba”
From this opinion post of Prophet Isa El-Buba who is a core Northerner by origin, I can conclude by saying
it’s a Clarion call on the Christian population to evaluate it’s popularity come 2023 election in other to check something
This can be achieved by
1. Massive mobilization Voters Card registration, the same way their Muslim counterpart go about mobilization it’s members, through Churches, Pastors and down to families ensuring each member of voting age to get register.
2. Officially Collaborate with INEC to deploy more data Registration Machine In areas identified or mapped out to have high Christian population but low or few INEC data registration point ( Any serious Political party, Especially the Labour party can leverage on this Low hanging fruits: Search and Map out this area and Collaborate with INEC to deploy it’s data capturing machine there. You will be amazed the numbers of Nigerians that have not registered)
3. Ensure all those of voting age have a PVC before election and
4. Ensure they Come out em mass to participate on the day of election.
5. lastly, massively vote for a party and candidate they perceived will defend their interest.
Until this action is taken the Narrative of Christian being Minority is believed to be true.
A Clarion Call to Action.
Prophet Isa El Buba has deceived you with bogus figures that he doesn't even know what he said. One can't just give figures without authentic data. Recently religious clerics are seriously misleading their followers and if Muslims will play politics the same way Christians particularly from that fanatics side do there will be a serious embarrassment. Tinubu and Atiku won't play religious card and one of them will win 2023 election and remember playing religious card openly may attract serious consequences, we don't want hear marginalisation and Islamization henceforth!
GardenOfGod: You think only the Northern votes wins election? Let's see how APC will win! Nonsense.
This isn't abt North because I very well know those making the loudest noise won't vote for APC even if they nominate their god as running mate. I don't want to drag into this much but if either PDP or APC wins the coming election is good for Northeners!
This is a waste of effort instead of Strategizing in a better way. Nobody says there is no competent Christian at the level of Shettima but the true fact of politics not the ignorance of commentators is, there is no single Christian in the North who can attract votes that Shettima can. Politics is all about winning not just succumbing to the desire of some people and end up losing. Larger proportion of those who are against the ticket won't and can never vote APC, so why the noise when their choice is clear? If not because in Nigeria most people go to school to get certificate not knowledge I think it is more important for APC Christians to negotiate the seat of Attorney General, Senate President and Speaker if APC wins rather than VP because the so called marginalisation and fear of non-exisitng Islamization agenda can only be prevented by the law makers or judicial officers I quoted not ceremonial positions which have little or no influence in power. After all the allegations aspersed by many Christian groups on Muslims for the just 9/23yrs Muslims rule in Nigeria PYO under this administration couldn't do anything as Pastor to look helpful to Christians' so called allegations!
dryakson: I mistakely stepped on a fetish thing with ₦10, 12 peppers, colanut and a mini clay pot while on my way to the mosque at about 5:15am. The listed items were carefully arranged on the ₦10 note before stepping on it. What could that be? NOTE: It's in the north, and a Muslim dominated place. So, I threw the cola and the mini clay pot away and burt the ₦10. Am I in trouble?
Nothing will happen to you. The doer just wasted his/her time
President Muhammdu Buhari in Daura, Katsina State, on Saturday, said the process that led to the election of former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was purely democratic and a reflection of the will of party members.
Buhari disclosed this in a statement by his media aide, Malam Garba Shehu.
“When the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) signaled parties to elect their presidential candidates, we had 30 aspirants, mostly ministers in my cabinet and governors,” Buhari said during Sallah’s homage to the Emir of Katsina, Abdulmumini Kabir Usman.
“I told each of the aspirants to go and do their best. One particular governor, in his wisdom, came to meet me and asked who they should vote for at the party convention, checking if I had a preferred candidate.
“There was no need for interference, knowing the competence of all the aspirants. They went and elected Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and he picked his running mate, Sen. Kashim Ibrahim process in choosing our candidates for the 2023 elections. I am praying that we will have peaceful and successful elections,” he said.
President Buhari, who thanked Nigerians for their support for the APC in 2015, and 2019, said he had a rich experience in the 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015 presidential elections, travelling to all the 774 local councils in the country and in 2019 visiting 36 states.
“They say he who wants to serve should be ready for the responsibility of leadership. Three times I wanted this position and three times, I ended up at the Supreme Court. For that reason, in terms of experience, I have gathered a lot. I visited 774 local councils in 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015.
“I feel privileged that Nigerians elected me in 2015. Since then, we have been doing our best to tackle the challenges, with God helping us. We are not alone. If only we knew what other countries in Africa are passing through, we would be grateful to God and protect our country. Other African countries are passing through a lot.
“As leaders, we are doing our best and will keep doing our best to improve the situation. I am praying that the Almighty God will give us more strength and wisdom to protect our people and fulfill our promises of ensuring wellbeing,” he said.
4teenblaq: Christians don't do or go into unnecessary war.... Christianity is one of the most peaceful religion on earth..

Omoyele Sowore, the Presidential Candidate of the African Action Party, AAC, has claimed some former Nigerian leaders are working for Peter Obi, the Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate.
Sowore claimed that former Heads of State, Olusegun Obasanjo, Ibrahim Babangida and Abubakar are all ‘working for’ Obi.
He urged Nigerians not to vote for Obi because criminals were backing him.
In a Facebook post, Sowore said the former Nigerian leaders are Obi’s “godfathers.”
According to Sowore, these godfathers ruined Nigeria, hence Obi should be rejected.
“Olusegun Obasanjo, Ibrahim Babangida, Aliyu Gusau, Abubakar Abdusalam and Ango Abdulahi are Peter Obi’s ‘Godfathers’. The people that ruined Nigeria are the ones fronting for him.
“May it never happen that we will work with these criminals!” He wrote.
In addition, Mahdi Shehu has proven beyond reasonable doubts the push for Peter Obi's candidature by Obasanjo, Babangida, Abdussalamu Abubakar, Gen. Aliyu Gusau and leaders of Northern Elders Forum Prof. Ango Abdullahi and Dr. Hakeem Baba Ahmad in a YouTube video interview aired by Arise TV. In the interview, Dr. Mahdi Shehu claimed that he got the leaked discussion whereby Obsanjo promised Prof. Ango Abdullahi lots of power if Labour Party wins the election. Prof. Ango Abdullahi later mate the spoke person of Northern Elders Forum in Abuja after the discussion and discussed the proposal with him which eventually lead to the emergence of Dr. Hakeem's younger brother, Dr. Datti Baba Ahmad as the running mate of Peter Obi but the spoke person of Northern Elders Forum is denying his influence in the choice of his brother as the running mate of Labour Party.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has denied seeking President Muhammadu Buhari’s permission to dump the All Progressives Congress, APC, over the party’s Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket.
Osinbajo said a widely circulated memorandum suggesting he asked Buhari for permission to leave APC was not from him.
The memorandum, dated June 24, 2022 with reference number SH/VP/605/2./0 and titled ‘Permission to resign from APC,’ listed family pressure and other reasons for the alleged decision.
Reacting, Osinbajo, through his spokesman, Laolu Akande, described the memorandum as fake.
Akande said Osinbajo would never author such a memo full of errors. “Where do you people even get these things from? Who gave it to you? Anyways, for the avoidance of doubt, the memo is fake. VP didn’t write any such thing,” he told journalists.
Recall that Osinbajo came third during the APC presidential primaries in Abuja.
Prior to the presidential primaries, the Vice President was accused of betraying Bola Tinubu, the eventual winner of election.
Tinubu is believed to be the political godfather of Osinbajo, hence the Vice President was queried for contesting against him.
However, Tinubu settled for a Northern Muslim, Kashim Shettima as his running mate following his emergence as APC presidential candidate.
Won bill and Melinda gates award for best governor in healthcare, can't recall the year though. Won Vanguard newspaper (or is it leadership, can't recall) governor of the year ahead of elrufa'i and wike.
So in spite of the terrorism in borno then, kashim tried.
From various state of the art hospitals with their respective staff quarters,
to standard schools (he even provided school buses for public schools in borno and bicycles to children to raise and encourage kids to go back to school considering the destructive effect of the insurgency),
sponsored Borno indigenes to study medicine and related courses abroad,
to building houses and resettling villages,
not forgetting the support given to the military in terms of hardware and allowances,
drafting and supporting CJTF not to talk of his massive investment in mechanised agriculture.
All of these while managing a heart wrenching humanitarian crisis that saw over 3 million people displaced (you want to know how difficult that is, ask Ortom of Benue who can't construct road because of fulani herdsmen).
I used to have one of this magazines about his administration its sad i cant find it.
Its an insult to compare him with someone who's achievements are listed as receiving ambassadors.
Shettima is bound and leaps AHEAD of obi. There are no two ways about it.
Such a pity we don't have Maiduguri people here, you guys would be blown.
helinues: Electioneering time is the best time to compare the candidates contesting most especially for the position of president and vice president
Between Shettima and Obi, who performed better as a governor?
Shettima inherited a completely terrorised state and as such couldn't do much in infrastructure. Only after 2016 Maiduguri could have sense of reason and serenity to think of rebuilding the state...
DANGOTE'S GREAT GRAND FATHER DEPOSITED 20 CAMELS OF SILVER COINS IN FIRST BANK IN 1929 Old Receipt Reveals Dangote's Great Grandfather as One of the First Nigerians to Deposit Money in a Bank
- Dangote's grandfather was one of the very first Nigerians to use a bank, according to an emerging old receipt
- Alhaji Alhassan Dantata opened an account and made a deposit in Kano state.
- His deposits were said to have been carried by camels.
The great grandfather of Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote, was one of the first persons in the country to transact with a bank when they were established.
According to an old receipt shared on Twitter by Nigeria Stories, the businessman had made a deposit when the Bank of British (now First Bank) opened a branch in Kano state in 1929. Dangote's grand father was the first person to open a bank account and make a deposit in Kano Photo Credit: @NigeriaStories Alhaji Alhassan Dantata showcased great wealth even in the manner of his deposit at that time. He deposited 20 camel loads of silver coins.
Somebody from this family can't in anyway be accused of Govt favour when their Family was richest before even the creation of Nigeria by whites. Africa has never in the past 2 centuries seen a wealthy family like Dangote's family.

Shetima should tell Nigerians what he knows about Boko Haram
Shettima became Governor when Boko Haram insurgency was at its peak in 2011. Obasanjo, Yar'Adua, Jonathan and PDP seriously cheated us and are true Boko Haram indirect agent. You just hear the issue of Boko Haram and their damage from far and suddenly become dogmatic. The father of Boko Haram was GEJ, very popular opinion in the North during his reign in power. When Jonathan's National Security Adviser and Fmr COAS of Obasanjo publicly confessed that PDP is Boko Haram he was assassinated in helicopter crush along with late Kaduna Governor few months after his confession. Take note, after President nobody is as powerful as NSA in Nigeria, nobody has that power but he was wasted for such huge confession. In my opinion, none of them was Boko Haram but Boko Haram rose and started all their plan of terrorising Nigeria under the watch of Obasanjo and he deliberately refused to take action that could have killed the evil plan. Yar'Adua was so weak and ignorant of BH possible dangers and the NIA boss of that time failed to inform him about the international connection and dangers they posed. Finally, the clueless of GEJ put us in a situation that u from far away South never imagined and can't imagined the suffering, killing, destruction that North undergone. The daily massacre, carnage and daily bombings that took place never could imagined from 2009-2016.
9jahotblog: you are very clueless with this lies and propaganda here. Senator Ademola Adeleke Muslim name is Nurudeen (light). Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke do go mosque. Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke was in Yidi last Saturday in Ede prayer ground. No form of campaign of calumny will save the clueless party destroyer Oyetola from defeat on July 16th governorship Election. Oyetola ti lule patapata ni ipinle Osun. Senator Ademola Adeleke is a Muslim man. In Osun State it’s Muslim-Christian ticket.
I just shared what is reported in news by a newspaper but in reality you are the typical ignorant here. Adeleke converted to Christianity for many years while you are here giving non-exisitng points. Go and check fact!
The crisis over the emergence of Senator Ademola Adeleke as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State has taken another dimension.
This is as the members are now divided over the party’s preferred choice of deputy governorship candidate.
Ife-born Kola Adewusi had been selected by the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) and ratified Osun State Executive Council as the deputy gubernatorial candidate of the party for Saturday, July 16, 2022 gubernatorial election in the State.
However, PDP members in the four local governments in Ife land, who are loyal to Ademola Adeleke trooped out en-masse into the streets of the town protesting.
The protesting members, who had alleged that the choice of Adewusi as deputy to Adeleke was a wrong choice, added that as a former local government chairman, he was unfriendly and was not willing to help any party member.
According to Lasisi Adeyeniwa, “Being a former chairman of Ife East Local Government under the administration of Olagunsoye Oyinlola, he was known as ‘Kosese’ because he never rendered assistance to anybody who needed it.”
The protesting PDP members also alleged that one Prof Wale Oladipo, who is a cousin to Adewusi and close political ally of Ademola Adeleke, used his influence and connection to pick him as his running mate.
According to them, “Another reason for the wrong choice of Adewusi is his religion. A Christian-Christian ticket cannot fly in Osun State. Ademola Adeleke and Kola Adewusi are both Christians.
“The consensus and takeaway from the mass protest is that the Ife zone has rejected the slot of deputy Governor ceded to them.”
Osun political watchers have reiterated that the choice of Adewusi is a bad omen for the PDP in the State, which is bedeviled with too many crises as issue of candidature is still a subject of litigation at an Osun High Court, which has given judicial pronouncement to the INEC and the PDP National Secretariat to recognise Dotun Babayemi as the party’s candidate in the State.
Babayemi is said to have the backing of the founding elders and notable bigwigs of the PDP in the State, including Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Erelu Olusola Obada, Alhaji Fatai Akinbade, Chief Tajudeen Oladipo and many others.
If it were Osinbajo, Adebanjo would have released different statement despite the fact that PYO clearly said he would build on Buhari's legacy. Hypocrite
