Politics › Re: Buhari Scraps ‘Ministry’ Of Power - TheCable by armadeo(m): 11:55am On Nov 11, 2015
rolchi:
Just like saying that there is no need for Communications Ministry since we have the NBC as a regulator and Private TV/Radio Stations.

Watching....
Well I think gov't still has a hand in communications as there are still many gov't tv and radio stations. If they were all private what would be the point?

Pavarottii:
So there is no need for ministers in all ministries den, the perm secetaries should be in charge. To say the truth! Appointment of these ministers will not change anything magnimally. The hype is just too much! By December next year. I know this statement I made now, I will be vindicated.

Nigerians should buckle up and pick up their hustling shoes. The country is gonna be harder for the common man in the coming months.
God give us the grace to pull through.
I beg to disagree. There is need for the ministers only as I said earlier if gov't has no say in a particular sector why set up a ministry. What point would it serve. Just like saying there's a ministry for bakeries in Nigeria and now appoint a minister, to what end?

This is following the large retirement of perm secs in the country. That sends a message to the current perm secs that the ministers are in charge not them.

The civil service is a large cesspool that also needs to be cleaned up because you only hear the ministers name.

Remember the 300million naira scam and prof Grange? Who were those that asked her to share the money. We instantly forgot thier names but remembered the head.

I think it's a logical way to go. Reduce the ministries and make co ministers if necessary to meet up constitutional requirements.

Small steps first
Politics › Re: Buhari Scraps ‘Ministry’ Of Power - TheCable by armadeo(m): 11:55am On Nov 11, 2015
It does make sense if you look at it critically. If the entire power sector is in the hands of private companies why form an entire ministry to oversee that. All you need is a regulatory body to iver see the power sector. If gov't isn't producing or distributing what's thier concern.

It's logical if you ask me.

IMO.

Frustration is worse than failure. Success only follows repeated failures and attempts. Ask any successful person.

It is important to accept failure as a springboard and not become frustrated because only frustration is worse than failure.

What majority of I gbos do not understand about biafra is not the effect it would have on them but in Nigeria as a whole.

If biafra should seceed the nigerdelta would follow suit on thier own. Odua will also follow suit. This would mean the disintegration of this country and no sitting president would ever allow that to happen.

The president would wield the big hammer down to it comes to it and in the end Nigeria would remain.

What we need is to be able to hold our leaders accountable to us not collecting peanuts from them or boasting about self sufficiency. After all if your neighbour isn't hungry you wouldn't be on the watch out for your goat.

On the Niger delta issue in regards to biafra, time and again I have seen many posts insisting that nigerdelta I part of biafra from IPOB but also many counter post that they aren't from the Niger deltans. I think biafra should leave them out of thier struggle after all isn't it thier loss. According to biafra?

On s smaller scale say biafra seceeds and takes delta north ( just an assumption ) what happens to okowa? Because whatever is left if delta state won't be governed by a biafran. Now do you think that guy is interested in biafra. Biafra has 15senators with numerous reps not one has made noise over the issue. The adage of sand and garri comes to mind.

IMO let biafrans begin thier ideology from thier states now. Hold your leaders accountable let the nation building begin as is and see if the rest of the world won't support you. He'll Nigerians may even clamour to join up but I don't think that's gonna happen because the problem isn't the country it's the people. We get our leadership from ourselves.

it is because the hospital and drs and nurses are always not being allowed to face the music that their negligence becomes heightened and they go ahead and repeat it with further patients, nigeri must learn to sue and no matter how long it take, get justice against the negligent.the trauma of attending court every now and then will ensure the health care worker avoids being sued.
Despite my belief that healthcare could and should be better once you start suing there would be he'll to pay by the masses.

The shows is gradually building into the original Heroes now that most of the casts have returned. Still following...
Also following.

I think the original cast would soon be set aside for the new cast.

Hiro doesn't have his powers and might be dead. Killed by the clone.

Parkman may appear in just that scene. Only Noah might continue.

Now Nathan absorbs powers and can only hold on to one at a time. The sister controls the elements.

St the end of this season I am sure an ultra evo Would appear as the bad guy for season 2.

Enjoying it so far.

blackprowler:
Looks like you have one colonel you look up to as a god. Now let me prove to you that I know what I'm saying and you're responding on an assumption. Do you know that people get into NDA from secondary school? Abi NDA no be army again? Please help me calculate if you enter NDA in 1990, what rank will you be now? Now how many years do you do in NDA before they commission you 2/Lt?
GUY, no be everybody on nairaland dem born in the 1990s or '80s for that matter. There are people still adrift in this country even in their '50s and they could have been GENERALS were they commissioned in the army. Life is harder than some think
PS: let me add: what do you think the actual salary of a colonel is? Even a 4-star general - how much? I can tell you many people with few years' bank experience and under 30 years of age will be earning more than that colonel. What about the numbers of colonels? Them boku my dear brother. Many officers just use the awe you people look them with to run business, just as the case with this very one we're posting on
I said as I know.

The term after you graduate I used meant after you graduate from the NDA not university. Even with the university levels its almost the same thing.

If you enter DNA in 1990 it means without problems you graduated 1995. Then you he pip as a 2lt. About now the individual should be a high ranking colonel or one star.

The second part of people adrift, could have been is all conjecture. If they could they would but they couldn't so they didn't. You said it yourself life is hard.

The financial status of the officers is not in question here. You said it as if colonels are made by sitting down in one place. That's what I disagree with.

Ps. I have friends in the military that's how I know what I know.
