Also we know Ebonyi state has equally the same plight and has thus far graded their runways remaing ashphalting.

I am glad that soon all South East will be Airborne while we wait for seaport.

Wow so many suggestion...about gas pipeline.

I believe these are the summary of the facts.

1. Aba and Imo has developed gas I believe, but Anambra hasn't ....not yet.

2. Since developing gas in Anambra is more vault breaking we choose to run a pipeline from already developed gas and the closest is IMO through interested power companies like century, seplat etc.

3. Thirdly that running such pipeline from the location of the developed gas in IMO is still capital intensive that the energy companies can't afford.

4. Also through Century power sought for financial backing from business men in Nnewi as an interested party funding to pool resources to actualize this project was also unrealisable.

5. Then is a dead end ....so what it reads is that there is no funds to execute this power project.

6. The FG is not willing or interested in assisting south East to connect gas as it did for Lagos etc.

I believe these are the controversies.

See FG block....very ugly...yet God knows the Amount of money budgeted for that haunted structure.

Sorry any new development on onitsha port ..after NIWA chair personnel who hails from Anambra did his sensitization in onitsha...he has gone underground... Anyways that has always been the trend by FG.

Guys stop name callings we don't make head way with those... Let me list some of the things exclusive to FG in relation to our discussion...
1. Air, 2.Rivers and oceans, 3. Oil and gas and other minerals including sand dredged from a river.
4. Electricity 5. Security ie police navy etc.

If you want to deal on any of these things first tap is FG.
Yes a governor can set up industrial hubs and areas for the state...but if you want steady power for the companies call FG either to allow you pipe gas or allow you develope gas, or give you extended electricity time from National grid for that purpose of the industrial zones. Even the sequence of applying is even time consuming.

Although we are devoid of all these main resources for our industrial areas like the one Ogun has but yet we still have good companies trying there best in Anambra through assimilated system by ANSG for them to thrive, we should appreciate both ANSG and our resilient people, because we are sure that 90% of the industries are igbo owned.

I suggest Anambra should apply for permit to FG to pipe gas from IMO state, or get a permit to develop it's gasand wait for God's intervention.

For example we know that FG has allowed huge piping of gas to Kaduna(anything for the North)

On this topic you both are saying same thing indirectly but with a slight difference....we have huge companies in Ogun state that bigger than Anambra because of the presence of gas piped to Ogun, Anambra state devoid of such huge resources is quite competive and believe me if Anambra should get it's gas piped then Ogun will collapse and that is what FG wants, they want Us igbos the industrialist to prosper out our origin state and develop other crannies. This why I keep blaming GEJ and Obi for Opportunities lost.

Now they have given West a blow by now allowing gas to be piped to Kaduna with this, industries will flock there because of steady power and big land of course igbos will fall for the temptation. That is the real FGs plan...that is why they will not give you even if you apply...but we should still apply

I am harmonizing these so we can know where to harnness our enery to move forward than fighting and ranting at each other.

This include Air, please go check when and who licensed or permitted ANSG to build airport remember both Stella Odua and ChidokA used that office and even prolonged that license but time is passing gradually and ANSG is staggering to make it happen.

My candid advise is ANSG should make application to FG of whatever our dreams are should be after prayer and fasting circumstances may make them grant it in our favor, like umahi during this recent uncalmness in our region FG granted permit like airport, which they dont give easily to our region now we are airborne but sea born like onitsha is a long shot, but encourage to make application.

Guys I am happy that we are indeed brainstorming for our good...

On the issue of OGUN state....Ogun state have seen it self as an opportunist so they maximized that opportunity because of Lagos...this started from big Pentecostal churches that need large auditorium and camping centers Ogun sold there's cheaper and built more connecing roads, later they fought Lagos to grabbed their land back from Lagos thanks to OBJ then ruling FG...many in Lagos may think they are in Lagos but fact is they are in Ogun.

Now so much luck for OGUN as Obasanjo helped rocover their land from Lagos and as well being that oil and gas belongs to FG Obasanjo then allow gas piped to ogun state so that big multinationals can fall on ogun, then obasanjo made better incentives for the companys including security so far they berth there...trust me many multi and trans national company are there. The roads to those places are gigantic....I have been there and those company had no mercy grabbing more lands on the premise of future expansion. This is why I regret OBI and GEJ for not utilizing opportunities they had in our favor.

Now As for Anambra state gas development is key for tremendous infrastructural improvments but achieving that goal will be wonderful but because of the financial involment in development of gas and FG who owns oil and gas to give permits and sundry may not happen...few oil company's standing in Anambra was given permit during GEJ and since they are indigenous company it is expected that FG to give them more incentives to make them prosper and I doubt if GEJ gave them at that time and surely they will not get any in this administration. Now there is already developed gas in abia and Imo we need to seek FG permission to pipe to our industrial zones in Anambra it's money vault breaking but cheaper than developing our own gas hence another problem will this Buhari administration permit such request when south east is not involved in the loan from China

So brothers our woes in development of gas aspect is not entirely our fault and no matter how we paint it is wholly left for FG.

Here is my suggestion to ANSG to meet all companys in Anambra explain all this challenges and give more incentives to companys so that they can happily stay on the likes of security, tax reductions, cheaper lands etc and after prayers and fasting by ANSG to meet FG for gas piping permit or authorization for developing our own gas.

Pictures of the roads are good and kudos to obiano...
Here are my little reservation
A) Government should discourage buildings at the tip of the road I don't know how that practice began
B) Our roads are too narrow inclusive of the roundabout so small as if the land is scarce yet both sides are free regardless of the location wider good roads and roundabouts automatically births a city... infact one of the pictures depicted a roundabout and the ajdourning roads sooooo thin and rickety both sides are free yet the roads are so curvy.. can you send that picture or boast with such picture that the government did an outstanding job, infact is a mockery to anyone who live in big cities example pH, Lagos Akwaibom and even north and get an appaulds or jests?. Also according to the pictures you will discover that heavy settlement is already in existence before the construction of the roads then that will be understood or permitted but I discourage this where by both sides are free yet Golgotha roads...it looks so poor and shoddy...let our roads be classy and a pride
See Akwaibom for example newly built roads is so beautiful, and very wide no matter the location somebody will say we are not rich like Akwaibom oh yes but we are not so poor that we can't afford such roads also ebonyi has such inclusive of glass tunnel...that is a project you can beat your chest.
C.) Open gullies or Gutters, it can be excused for places in the hinterland but not in densely populated areas, this why erosion majorly attack densely populated in Anambra due to blockage of the drains by the residents who dump refuse in the gutter. The same Government will cry over blocked drains, spend money to empty it and obviously they can't desilt all open gutters in Anambra so why encourage it. and also health challenges ( bad smell, mosquito breeding, dumped babies tooo.

Developing gas has a huge potential for Anambra state but is not easy which includes FG interference and funds too..

While that is ongoing ANSG can continue to follow up with other projects deemed necessary devoid restraints and bottlenecks like the gas development.

For those still in contempt because of the construction of Anambra Airport let it go...is a determined project of ANSG, rather encourage the Government.

You need to study how the river Niger emptied into the Atlantic ocean through many smaller rivers like brass, forcadas,

Building and concession the port have no economic importance without dredging the river.... No big vessel or ship can access onitsha from the Atlantic

I pray they quickly finish the concessioning of the Onitsha Port which is long overdue ... Although this isn't the first time I read in the news about 2years ago of the completion of the concessioning process which hasn't happened yet.

If Onitsha Port becomes fully operational our IGR will greatly improve, and more investors will come to Anambra.

Thirdly I am sad about development of our oil and gas...As I blame GEJ and Peter Obi most especially. ..Obiano should pressure the FG for our inclusions for 13percent derivation.

More so as I have seen in the news three Oil companies have been prospectin or mining our oil at ogbaru yet they don't want to change their licences to mining lease. Sterling oil has piped our oil to oguta imo state in other to avoid changing his licences..enjoying free money from the oil....Obiano should force them to change their license or leave Anambra with heavy penalty for theft...what nonsense... we can't continue like this as this is equally loss of IGR...

Here is my input on comparison between Kano state and Anambra state...I have been to Kano during my service year...the interesting thing about it is how they build good Roads... Anambra state is trying on road infrastructure but at same time is not good enough to be compared with Kano state, however this present administration in Anambra undoubtedly surpassed his predecessor in road construction but not Kano state.

Interestingly loudable features of Kano state roads is the very wide roads, bigger roundabouts, light poles and covered drains competitively this is the size and structure of Roads found in mega cities which we (Anambra)don't have or put in other way ANSG has not build such.

It is pertinent to reiterate again that this present administration of ANSG surpassed his predecessor in road construction that is poorly characterised with narrow and thin roads, open drains and no light poles and of course ugly and thin roundabouts, in relief I praise Obiano for the intervention on lightening up Roads, redesigning Roundabouts but still flaws in maintaining open drains or gutter in road construction.

While I have said these...I still understand that our soil factor problem which is an advantage North have over us in road construction making it more exorbitant for build better roads but nevertheless we are still lacking behind.

Although this problem will only result to fewer good roads but such big mega city road is absent still. Countlessly I have noted and bitterly complained the thin or narrow roads our Obiano is building with his innocent motive is to touch all segments of the state consequently substandard road litters all over the place indirectly following the old ugly pattern.

I have followed up the new roads being constructed by Obiano, for example the road where Ila Delta State and Anambra state share a common boundary..even when the both sides are not occupied the contractor is still following the Golgotha sequence with open drains, also the so called Air port road same sequence..that begs the question is this how we be like Seoul or Kigali. The knowledge of the latest features of a modern road should not be lacking in Anambra it is expected that ANSG should be endowed with it.

ANSG keep singing of residents blocking the drainage yet they are the ones you left it open after construction thereby till continuing the foot print of his predecessor.

In conclusion, in as much as this Present Administration is performing better than his predecessor but is has not built or set up a comparable Mega city road project like that of Kano state thank you.

Please the person reeling out profits and loss made by other airports is totally irrelevant...why I said so is simple after building an airport and is actively working, another is patience, it is foolish to think of recouping the money spent on the construction of an airport very soon. Lagos airport has long recovered money spent on the construction of the airport and currently reaping the gain, so it applies to others...

Even five star hotels owners don't recover the money spent on construction of their hotels very soon less talking about gain in a short while ....it takes time and proactive management of the property to yield the anticipated gain.

This is how it applies in all and sundry....just like the tallest building in Dubai..as much as people are patronizing hotel is yet to reap the cost of construction talk less of gain..it needs time and commitment in management that's all.

This applies to roads or ports concessioned to an investor the active pattern in the agreement is the long time give or available for the investor to recoup the expenses made as well as gain.

Please forget about the what profit or loss...is irrelevant is only a matter of time, ANSG should be concerned about the management of the airport after construction as I believe that it will be handled competently by a good organization just like the Agulu Lake resort..

I wonder why people are against construction of an airport in Anambra state, for the sole reason that other sister states close by has an airport.... Indeed that is a morbid thinking....

Well I thank God for my brothers that supports the project, the importance of airport in a state has an all round benefit.

To shock the opposition further, Ebonyi state has equally began construction of theirs which shall be completed in 18 months time, is obvious that is irrelevant for them to consider that their neighbor has an airport..

Even Bayelsa state whose indigenes are not notorious travellers and surrounded by sister states with functional airport was wise enough to have theirs and we are here relenting and pathetic of having an airport that is wholly beneficial to the state.

If ANSG continue listening to these dissents over construction of airport.. Ebonyi will be latest big guy on the block because they have a big, specific and peculiar facilities for their airport while we rot on
sentimental and pathetic indecision.

A wedding took me to nnewi, I was delighted to go there and see good things for my self, shockingly, I was disappointed on getting to nnewi, it was an eyesore and bitter experience...the roads so thin, crowd of people on the road...

As I was Expressing my disappointment with my friends in the car.....it was clear from everyone's contribution that nnewi people can't spare there land for dualization of roads... Talk more of other huge projects.

Secondly..they don't care about anyone or implications of their inordinate building method, that's why a filling/gas station is housing a residential buildings with little or no fence..this also applies to business done virtually on the road etc...
It appears reason for this, is competition among themselves to be seen as most successful.

Development of a place demands Acceptance, commitment and sacrifice.. this has equally affected, incoming developments. Like the Mall etc...

Our Airport is taking forever to start seeing Cementary works as only bulldozer jobs only...they should increase their pace...kudos to their efforts.

You will not hear any word from Orient petroleum as they are stuck on boundary disputes and delineation of borders. They Will be mining oil but you will not hear a word, until it is resolved. However any company could have continued the oil mining mindless of boundary issues until is resolved and they will pay to the owner but since the company is owned by an indigen of Anambra together with the expenses of ANSG... That place is locked till. Further Notice...this why I will not forgive Peter Obi and GEJ

All these seeking for notice attitudes by the police, so the essence of going to Onitsha is to advise his colleagues who mounted uncountable road blocks not to cause grid locks......infact is a regrettable situation.

I commend the vigor and enthusiasm of builders of AMC.

Ehe....I know for sure this was signed during GEJ. I had inquired to know latest updates on this project but none......well is quite of unfortunate since that time till now they are still at preliminary stages....

However if they still going for it good and fine I support them.....they should speed up the process is long over due.

May God keep blessing the owner of Vertex Hotel... Chai this is heavenly....I am overwhelmed and impressed... The aesthetics of the building is classy.

ANSG should emulate AMC in road construction. See the wideness and the covered drainages........I commend AMC...

They keep coming and going like ABIKU, visiting INNOSON only for tourism purpose with little good intentions...we pass them..... I still pray our Ontisha river or sea port to come on stream...in Jesus name Amen.


This AMC is huge ooo, I have contacted them, is pricey but it worths it. I will urge us Lagosians to invest home...good job AMC

Well.....this issue about our Onitsha port has been flogged over to no avail.....All I have to do is to watch out and see without expectations.

I pray Anambra Government to imitate this design for gullies, that way they can't complain the residents blocking the water channels.

Thanks for the updates on our oil and gas and its tussle. Interestingly I have to alley my fears or rather doubts if Sterling company has a valid OML on ogwu ikpele site it means that Ogwu ikpele well is running in commercial quantity therefore Sterling has converted its OPL to OML so my question is this does it mean that Sterling isn't mining the oil expected to be in commercial quantity to the required bench mark to include us as oil producing or is it that they mining up to the required bench mark and FG deliberately refused to pay us our derivative fees.

Secondly orient petroleum at Aguleri otu hasnt also Converted its OPL to OML does it mean our oil isn't enough for minimum bench mark consequently for 13% derivative fees or prospecting of the site is stalled due to rival ownership claim, or is there likely hood we may loose the tussle.

What about our other Gas wells...I remember that sometimes in the News that benue state built a gas turbine for electricity and Anambra gas will be it's gas feeder what about those and many more.

Finally I know that FG cannot be enthusiastic towards Exploring our basins for obvious reasons so therefore I am not counting on them or neither should it ignite hopes of oil producing.
