descarado: I won't say this is caused by poverty cos some other African countries are poor.
It's quest for instant gratification and greed.
Hope justice will be served correctly. I agree - every one wants to be rich without putting the real natural hardwork that requires "thinking brain" |

azraeljaheel: This thread use to be my favourite until trenches got the best of me. Folks posting what a dude be dreaming about.
I pray for y'all that have, y'all won't ever want. The hope this thread gives me is that there is hope . Y'all showcasing meals won't lack. Amen
I won't envy but rather I would be inspired to attain that wish I lack..
Got to a point I come on here at night, so I could have a dream about the meal I would have in my sleep. Imagine fantasising on a meal before you go to bed only to sleep and wake up with toothpick for your mouth Don't go to fantasy land that much. Some of the food here aren't expensive. Buy 1 coconut, break and deshell, blend and extract the juice and cook with 1 cup of rice - add onion and pepper. Then boil one egg to add and you are good. |

All the snails posters here, you guys are tormenting me Prestonn, Manna and co - you guys well done! I love eating snail stew. My mom made them when I visited. I tried getting it from the store here but I didn't like the odor coming from it...I guess not well packaged. Prestonn:

Got home saw the snail and decide to cook with it.
Few hours later she called to warn me not to touch the snail, and the snail don already dey fire
I just wan give her time, she go beg me to return home
Those snails are just too expensive in the market, they tell us that it is not easy to get them. That they only come out during the night/midnight. And they have to do some vigil in the cold/darkness. We believe that is why it is that costly. If you know how much those hotels on the Island sell just one piece of snail ehn..... U go shock Btw, Who is mama?! Mama as in Mama or Mama as in the Mrs? Just curious!
That is what my mom said too - expensive. |

Dtruthspeaker: And that is why in the end, you all came out of school, wondering why you feel like you did not learn any thing tangible even though you are feel full.
That is the plan with which they have set against you all, FOR WHEN YOU DO NOT KNOW, YOU CAN NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY DECEIVE YOU AND STEAL FROM YOU. EVEN UP TO THE FACT THAT THEY WOULD STEAL FROM YOU AND YOU WOULD THANK THEM.
Our learning is being being controlled and regulated even against us and people are falling into the cliffs they lead us to. Maybe cuz many like you refused to solve the problem assigned to them and would rather argue. They just did "pose" in school. They came out puzzled or graduated with puzzlement look on their face - feeling like they didn't learn anything. Solve the problem and if you don't know it, say so Go to tutorials, attend class, study and go math lab for knowledge acquisition. |

Dtruthspeaker: You dey vex? Good! You don see am.
As God helped me, I do not engage in any thing that does not make good sense and I remember thinking about this kind of questions even years after I left secondary school and yet I never saw its good sense nor anyone use it.
So, i tell my children not to bother themselves when they see this kind of rubbish question.
As good as education is, it is also the same vehicle used to deceive and weaken people for the full deception which is to come in the future, SINCE THEY HAVE TAUGHT PEOPLE TO LOSE THEIR NATURAL FOCUS ON THINGS THEY WOULD NORMALLY AND NATURALLY HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT THAT WOULD HAVE HELPED THEM TO ACQUIRE THE GOOD THINGS THEY PLAN ON GETTING THROUGH FOCUS AND GOOD THINKING! Doesn't matter if question is good sense or bad sense or rubbish - just solve it and submit to your teacher. |

You are right poverty. A family of six would need 12 eggs for omelets or scramble eggs meal. In developed countries, what else can they eat during weekends if not egg. With three dollars and some cents, you can get eggs to last you a week. Some organic are costly though like six dollars. How much is an egg in Nigeria? meobizy: Eggs every day is a normal thing in developed nations. Poverty really does a number on Nigerian citizens. |

Trash it - February is long time ago with flour. If you choose to use it, you would have wasted other ingredients if it doesn't rise. And if that funny taste is ok and manageable to you, the other person might taste the difference. untamedd: I wanted to make some snacks this morning so I brought out my flour which I’ve had for a while. Turned out it’s expired. It’s sealed, never opened. It’s doing me somehow to throw it away.
I googled and saw something about flour never expires, it’s just best before that date. How true is this please? True Mariangeles: When your flour is bad, it will not rise when raising agent is added to it. It'll also have some kind of unpleasant taste when you use it to make anything. Those are some of the ways you can tell your flour is bad. |
