ballabriggs: They find it difficult to understand why people will not buy their lies anymore. They have blamed Tinubu, at a time they said it was Buhari and El-Rufai, now they blame it on OBJ. They have even gone to the extent of using what Sonala Olumhense calls "condescension as an instrument of state policy", "Shut up! We are making progress", you see it everyday on Nairaland. Jona even went on air to say "Nigerians are always looking for negatives", President of the Federal Republic? And you are such an I.mbecile like the writer who wrote a piece bereft of any form of logic, facts and figures. |
This article is a tendentious overkill. It was carefully manipulated to confuse issues and mislead people into the thinking that Jonathan is corrupt. However, the reverse is obviously the case. We have a president who is irrevocably committed to fighting corruption where it matters most. The writer of this article admitted that SEVERAL PROBES REVEAL MASSIVE CORRUPTION. my question then is, who instituted all these probes and investigations? Jonathan will go down in history as the president who took giant steps to confront corruption and expose age long corruption in every sector. He inaugurated probes into pension funds, oil sector, Agric fertilizer schemes, etc. During Jonathan's tenure, oil subsidy thieves are facing trial in court. It has never happened before. Nothing like Ghana must Go bags exchanging hands in NASS from Aso Rock and that is why there is so much executive/legislative face off. |
The person who wrote this deserves to be flogged. What does he take Nigerians for? Gullible fools or something? He is obviously part of the tour from what he wrote. He betrayed his grouse in the 7 th paragraph over his seeming inability to collect " Monetised goodwill message" These journalist must learn to appreciate that the days of brown envelope journalism are almost over. |
Ngige is right. Power stations should not be sited on political considerations. It should have been on the basis of proximity to basic raw materials. That is why some of the stations like GEREGU could not operate until Jonathan convened an emergency gas to power session which fashioned a way forward for the supply of gas to those thermal stations. The minister of petroleum, Diezani Allison Maduke, has successfully built pipelines from excravos to GEREGU inorder to convey gas. That is why there is relative improvement in power supply |
Ganys: All na dem media..Those are not media houses but rumour mills |
Withdraw subsidy and let everything normalize. Without subsidy, the market will be prepared for deregulation. |
Long story. It is an alliance of weak parties and it will result in a weak mega party. |
ANALIST: The House is requesting that the Presidency should keep the technocrats, who knows what to do in governance and appoint, no matter how uninformed PDP members because they are from the party. On point! |
@op, when is Nassarawa town hall meeting coming up? I enjoy the town hall meeting aspect of this tour more. |
OGA, Mukina abi Musiwa? Why are you guys hiding a thread on Good Governance Tour? It's a thread I always look upto since the tour started. I am an avid admirer of Jonathan and his transformation agenda therefore I don't joke with any thread on his projects. If you guys don't want us to make an issue out of this mole hill, I beg you to retrieve those threads. It is in the interest of free speech and democracy that all opinions be heard no matter whoose ox is gored |
I want to use this opportunity of question and answer session to ask about the completion date for the Oturkpo-9th mile road, it is very necessary because Xmas is fast approaching and many road users will ply that road. It needs to be in good shape |
Dollarman101:I heard Moro wants to contest Governorship of Benue in 2015 so this may be part of his own politicking. He left his job in Abuja just to come and praise Suswam in this Town Hall meeting. Mtcheeeew! |
I love Maku for this tour. Rather than sit down at Aso rock and be making noise like his predecessors, he is touring projects sites. That is remarkable. We need to be more pragmatic in our approach to Governance |
I commend Governor Jang for all the outstanding infrastructural development evident in stadiums, satellite market bridge, new jos north to jos south road from airport roads, and the dams. I salute GEJ for the makom roads connecting jos with Kaduna. I commend GEJ for the new JUTH teaching hospital permanent site with dialysis centre. I'm following the town hall meeting already |
don't mind David Mark. He doesn't know any better. |
When I saw that some state governors formed a consortium to bid for power discos, I felt uncomfortable with that idea. My discomfort stemmed largely from our history of failed government enterprises. Nigeria govt has a very bad public sector attitude which hinders the growth and proper management of their corporations. The very idea of privatization arose out of the need to divest govt of control and vest in private hands. This state govt consortium thing is a negation of that idea. I'm very happy that they did not win the bids. I salute BPE for that. I prefer to deal with a private company, no matter the size, than to a govt owned gigantic consortium. |
If party leaders fail to discipline their members, I don't know who will. The responsibility of cautioning or disciplining any errant member of a party lies solely at the discretion of the leadership of the party. It is indicative of the strong institution that PDP has built over the years that the NWC could sanction erring party members. It is the practice in political parties globally. I don't have a problem with Metuh's statement. However, I'm deeply concerned about a situation whereby one dictator-Tinubu will decide everything in a political party. I don't think I have ever seen the NWC or NEC of ACN sit to resolve on far reaching resolutions on their party like PDP. It is always Tinubu that decides for ACN. very unfortunate |
the truth is being unfolded increasingly. They are now fighting and washing their dirty linen in public. This promises to be very interesting drama series. The triumph of lies over truth is just but temporal. Today, we now know how they stole mandates through salami at the high courts. |
Our dear first lady, please welcome home |
Tinubu is obviously on a heavy dose of hallucinogens. Sad |
Na real Argo dey make people write this kind story. |
funny enough. People are already paying the much dreaded post subsidy price so what else? In so many places in the south east, fidel sells far higher than 90 Naira so what s the difference? Why not remove it at once? |
kutchs: Premium Times, Sahara Reporters, Demdem: What do the three have in common?Add rumours to it. |
Fine speech. Fine Budget too. It's just the right synergy required to power development in a democratic era. Most of the things Tambuwal said were things within his legislative capacity to do. It is within their powers to increase the benchmark for the budget. So there was no need to make a public show of it or play to the gallery |
My honest opinion though is that Saharareporters should retract the said defamatory and malicious story from their website. It is not in their best interest that they are known by the public as a hub for fake rumours |
The best budget ever. Early in time . Rich in content. Fresh air |
ubandire: Have I not been vindicated?yesterday when I saw the rubbish SR released about the hon minister abandoning USA cos of the protests I hurriedly countered it cos I had seen pictures and clips of the very successful parade held in new York.@ the bolded. Dossier of lies ![]() |
This is the best independence speech I have heard in a long while. jonathan is gradually bringing something fresh to governance. The pillars of accountability and transperancy are being strengthened more than ever before. In the past, this speech could just be lengthy and void. But Jonathan clearly gave account of his stewardship and set out the priority of his government accordingly. It is a welcome development. I'm proud of Mr. President. |
Happy birthday Nigeria |
