From the vagabonds who are quick to label it no man's land.
when you say vagabonds I guess you mean fg that grabbed land and started designating and mapping out lands for different uses?

Abagworo:
Let us wait till the elections. Ikwerre has done 8 years from 2007 to 2015 and Odili from Ndoni another suspiciously Igbo part of Rivers State did 8 years making it 16 uninterrupted hold by the uplanders. The truth is that it has to go riverine for justice and equity.

The same way it had to go North at federal level is how it will go riverine at State level. God bless Rivers State and Nigeria.
me thinks in these type of issues votes matter and not sentiment of who rules..if a larger percentage of people vote for a candidate and votes counted I dont think sentiment would have any place unless we are not ready for democracy

e maggots before you start flapping your Igbo wings up and down like local turkey. No state in the east can boast of any truthful/honest leader or revere political figure. Besides there is no iota of civilization in any part of the East nor form of development as intelligent as they seem to be. So continue shouting and ranting like a castrated bulls
this statement here shows you know next to nothing about civilization and what goes on in the east so keep your annoying ignorance to yourself and your family

You do not understand how the Igbo masses are carried away by the biafra stuf. Many villagers now call him Okoroawusa and call Nigeria zoo and even believe he is turning Igbos to Muslims.
you used to say imo igbo people are different that they cannot be swayed by sentiments against rochas by our neighbours...so what happened to that your view before if rochas has been 'good to imolites'?
PoliticsRe: Few Pics From Imo State by asha80(m): 9:50pm On Aug 16, 2015
Abagworo:
A Government whose every decision is fought cannot perform optimally. Okorocha suffered from a big fight against a combination of federal might and Igbo political elders in his 1st term but used the masses to win a 2nd term. Many of the contractors that abscounded including the Dina man from Lebanon were on instruction from powers that be. This 2nd term should have been a flawless ride but radio biafra has teamed up with the politicians to even recruit the masses in fighting him. The end result will be legitimate protest against every attempt of development including refusal to give out land and even violence based wholly on rumours without verification.

An example is the recent protest by Alvan students against Okorocha instead of FG even though it was just a rumour.
pls lets us prepare the ground for excuses in case of failure as okorocha is not the only person criticized by the so called radio biafra..the masses were with him before elections abi?so why fight him now if there is nothing about his pronouncement or activities that they feel imn inimical to them?

Here is the Governor's statement.

http://nigerianpilot.com/okorocha-dismisses-critics-says-he-is-focused-on-industrializing-imo/

He explained that his administration has worked so much
on the issue of industrial parks which are now changing
close to Ohaji/Egbema because of the closeness to gas
supply as partners are coming from Singapore and China by the first week of September for a joint review of the site and to construct the industrial park.

“We decided Ohaji/Egbema because of the closeness to gas supply, so we are arranging with oil companies to allow
access to gas so that we can power the entire industrial
park. For me I have promised Imo people that I will deliver
and I ‘m sure I will deliver”.
these sound more rochas saying what he wants to rather than something being concluded to be done...will not say anything about it until i see something concrete like the shell gas story

Abagworo:
I wrote "fight him to non performance". What it means is that he will spend the next 4 years fighting instead of settling down to govern. It is best we criticise when necessary but leave him to do his best.

I have been the only one populating this thread with pictures and I am not even based in Imo. If indeed most of these people fighting me for posting these pictures are not out for mischief, why can't they populate the thread?

Owerri is an extremely beautiful city with many scenic views but yet none of them has contributed one picture. Even millionaireman from Orlu could not show pictures but when I went out of my way to get pictures, he started attacking me and Okorocha.

I have shown my hometown with its beautiful lake and serene environment but none of them has shown his.
I doubt a government can be fought to non performance unless that government never wanted to perform in the first instance..moreover this is his second term so he can do whatever he wants to do.
PoliticsRe: Few Pics From Imo State by asha80(m): 9:19pm On Aug 16, 2015
Abagworo:
What is killing this thread is turning it an arena to fight Okorocha instead of an arena for discussion on ways foward. I think its all related to same hatred exhibited on facebook and radio biafra against him. Why I like Asha80's contribution is that we always make our contribution on what is best to do in situations but millionaireman and others never contribute but rather attack every positive news from Imo State.

There is a plan for industrial park at Ohaji/Egbema to have direct access to the 3.5 billion Dollar gas plant being built by Shell. That I believe is a news we can deliberate on instead of acting like Okorocha is on this thread.

There was also equally an oil spill that affected some of our communities in Egbema.

There is an expected flooding that will affect us in Oguta and Egbema which requires plan by Government emergency agents as well as public awareness campaign.

A lot is ongoing to discuss instead of fighting Okorocha.
there is no post on those things you said especially the industrial park.i have not seen any news of it anywhere

Radio Biafra is brewing. I am not related to Okorocha anyway and I can never gain anything personally from him but I maintain my stand that his problems are related to his political affiliations. It is however not in the interest of Imolites and Igbos to fight him to non performance.
it is in the interest of imolites to fight him for non performance where cited because he is first and foremost governor of Imo state elected to care of their needs before any other thing

How can I come when Jonathan cut us off from the Southeast? You cannot go to Aba or Owerri from Port Harcourt.

As for the UBEC nonsense we argued that before election. It was a propaganda which failed to yield positive result.

Like I wrote you cannot expect anything positive by fighting a moving train. It will only lead to further destruction. Bayelsans have joined APC massively and Igbos are busy trying to disrupt governance because of a failed Bayelsan who did nothing for Imo State. Here is a list of federal roads that transverse the State and it is left for you to judge.

1) Owerri- Port Harcourt Road

2) Ihiala- Anara Road

3) Onitsha- Okigwe Road via Arindizuogu

4) Owerri-Umuahia road via Mbaise etc

5) Owerri-Orlu road which Okorocha is trying slowly to fix

6) Owerri-Aba road

These roads cut through many towns and villages. Its been long I passed them but why were Igbos quiet about their state?

Here in Rivers the story is same. Akwa Ibom and Cross River is same. Amaechi cried and Okorocha cried but Igbos attacked them.
I have told you many times never bring up Jonathan and buharis issue with me because I never talked about presidential elections before it was held as I concentrated myself to Imo and abia elections..if fg refused to do what they were supposed to do in Imo during Jonathan's time then that's bad but that will not stop me from criticizing okorocha where he is messing up before or now just because I cannot stop a 'moving train'...if you do not know it is projects and policies he has done in Imo that his fellow contestants in apc vying 2019 presidential slot with him (yes I know that is where your mind is) would use against him and I doubt Imo people being who they are would shield him at that time..as for propaganda that failed to yield report it still puts a question mark on the so called adapalm money realised for school projects..i doubt you really know what is brewing in Imo now..just pray that okorocha changes his perception now going forward.

rochas is a failure. i passed through imo state the other day. on my way to auchi. it was poor.

nice buildings but no government
I would not call rochas a failure but governing a state like Imo one has to be careful about the proclamations one makes as a leader and your conduct because the indigenes can easily discern when they are being taken fir a ride

I think we are done with argument about the schools as that was election propaganda by PDP. The elections have come and gone. What is left now is to support the Government to try their best. Fighting Okorocha and Buhari will only bring further underdevelopment to Igbos.

When some of us were busy screaming about the state of federal roads under Jonathan, Igbos were busy fighting Okorocha and APC. Today APC have won both in Imo and Nigeria. To benefit from this victory, we have to support Buhari like we did Jonathan but criticise him when necessary. Thats my take or we end up wasting another 4 years fighting against moving train.
some of those 305 schools are labelled ubec projects..
I will snap one and show you later..you better come and move around Imo state to know what is really happening

Left for me I wouldn't like to see any Nigeria company mining or exploiting any mineral deposit in Igboland.

I like as Orient is doing in Anambra, Nestoil is doing in Anioma and Ibeto in Ebonyi, I want Igbo resources and its exploitations to be done by Igbos, be it farming, mineral or whatever.

From the fertile plains of Agbor down to the arable land of Abakaliki should be exploited by Igbo companies.

We need to keep everything in Igboland 100% Igbo own to avoid exploitation and economic imperialism.

Vietnamese decided to stop Chinese coys investing in Vietnam, many countries are becoming cautious of allowing foreigners into their enclaves to exploit minerals and other things.

Everytime I see scrap metals living Igboland to Lagos I felt like shedding tears but thank God I saw one metal company at Asaba last week, many vehicles laden with scrap metals are parked there being off loaded.

By the time Omus Industries will be completed we will have another steel rolling mill in Igboland exploiting our resources.

Igbos should start forming and building corporations so that we will be lesser prone to economic exploitations and imperialisms by the outside world.
where is tho onus industries located and who owns it?

What industrialists need from Govt.
1. Create accessible industrial layouts and make land acquisition in such places easy, settle the host community and do proper environmental impact assessment
2. De-monster the taxation process
3. Create a board that has both supervisory as well as advisory roles over business est. with more emphasis on technical assistance to newcomers in terms of educative seminars / conferences
4. Liaising with Federal govt. on ensuring that import waivers are implemented fairly. A situation where Hausas in Nigeria Customs Service implement the policy wholly for their brothers while frustrating Industrialist from other zones should be protested against
no need writing these for those in govt if they are competent

that is what you should be talking about..siting their industries, businesses and wealth generating outfits in the east.

Percentages are irrelevant. I'm talking about strategic input in Igboland based on exposure and alternative mindsets towards development and community....with all the millions of young Igbos born in Nigeria......how many appreciate where they are from?

I look around me all the time and I see young Igbos organising and identifying with each other in a way Igbo's in Nigeria fail to do and without the state rivalries too.
that they identify with themselves outside does not translate to them being interested in the their ancenstral land...a kind of ok we are living in uk but let us identify with people 'that look like us or have common features with us in this white man's land' kind of attitude which is not different from what other nationals of other countries do...and pls individual igbos help in their communities and towns especially the wealthy ones..it is thegovt that is lacking.

How did she arrive at this conclusion? This is a wrong impression Abians and Imolites have about Enugu natives, " All parts of Enugu are primitive and bushy except Enugu capital", they couldn't be farther from the truth.

Have you visited places in Nkanu like Ozalla, Obe, Agbani, Akpugo and environments, those towns are developed with good houses, same with the areas around Udi town.
Even Ezeagu area, I recently visited Akama and Oghe parts of Ezeagu, those ones are doing fine.

Go to Awgu, I was in Ihe not long ago, nice town with good houses.

There are simply no area in Enugu state that remotely resemble the picture she was trying to paint, non.
how do you know it is imolites and abians that say only Enugu city is developed?did the person you quoted tell you he is from any of the two states?

What exactly are you talking about? Enugu has people that don't put on cloths? A highly literate state like Enugu state with many of her natives possessing degrees.

Please don't come here to talk trash next time. Enugu is a well developed state.
I think what he is trying to say is that development is heavily centered in Enugu city and not spread around Enugu state
