Thank God another private firm (Rojenny) had just saved the state another embarrasment by providing alternate playing turf for an Anambra state based club side.
Imagine if govnment had channelled resources used on 3 mini stadia to construct just one standard stadium all these lacuna would have been solved! it was the state govt that actually gave money to rojenny to build that turf |

RareDiamond: Factory! Factory!! Programme Okorocha To Commence 26 Industries In Ogboko Home Promises 10 New Universities Posted by admin on Jun 17th, 2015
In line with his pre-campaign promises, Governor Rochas Okorocha has declared intention to begin the industrial revolution in Imo from his Ogboko, Ideato South LGA home. Speaking during a thanksgiving mass organized in honour of Governor Okorocha by the coalition of Ideato nation, on Sunday at the (Holy Trinity Parish Ogboko) the Governor disclosed that he will in few days time lay the foundation stone of 26 industries and 10 universities in line with his Factory, factory, Industry, industry and employment,” employment programs in Imo. According to him, arrangements have been concluded for the takeoff as Ogboko people have indicated interest to provide land for the smooth take off of the industries. The Governor used the opportunity to advise the Catholic Bishop of Orlu Diocese and stakeholders of the area to provide a secondary school for the first Catholic University in Imo which according to him will admit students this September. He explained that the secondary school will serve as a temporary site while the construction of the permanent site goes on. He maintaine that youths of the state will be gainfully employed, adding that investors have already arrived in Imo to contribute in the massive development project going on in the state right now. The Governor advised the youths to take advantage of all the Rescue Mission programs to excel in life and be good ambassadors of their various home. One of the priest who preached at the church service challenged Governor Okorcha on his abandoned projects. In his words “if you can complete all the abandoned projects in Imo you will stand the chance of being the best Governor in the world” the priest told Okorocha.

Politics › Re: List Of States Owing Salaries Of 6 Months And Above? Why Single Out Osun State? by asha80(m): 11:36am On Jun 17, 2015 |
Sagamite: This state has no excuse of owing workers salary.
Akwa Ibom gets the HIGHEST allocation out of ALL states in Nigeria from the federal government. The Federal Allocation is the biggest source of funding/revenue for virtually all states in Nigeria, hence it is like the main salary for a state.
Its allocation is so high, it is more than 3 times that of all the other states in that list bar Rivers. THREE TIMES!
In a quarter, Akwa Ibom once got N136bn from Federal allocation. The next highest (bar Rivers) on that list was Kano with N43bn. All the others got less than N35bn, with Osun being the lowest at N20bn.
And Akwa Ibom has one of the smallest populations by far. So way too much money to cover a small population. A population less than half of some of the states on the list and not on the list.
So why are they owing workers salary?
Because a fuuktard like Akpabio is more interested in buying and flying private jets for his personal use?

Who even gave Anambra the "permission" to build a refinery and explore her oil.
Who gav lagos "permission" to build Eko Atlantic city. Who gave Akwa ibom "permission" to build Nigeria's most modern hospital on its soil.
keep waiting for federal "permission" while dangote is allover mining "our limestone"
Keep waiting for permission. Keep blaming permission sorry the North,Lol. eko Atlantic city, akwa ibom modern hospital are not solid minerals so those examples hold no water..anambra and Lagos have gotten permission for those oil exploration in their domain..dangote has unexplained leverage in Nigeria we all know that..if it was straightforward as that how come kogi, plateau, nassarawa and the likes are not mining legally their enormous solid mineral resources?..do you suggest that Enugu just go in like that without a back up?even Ibeto has back up to take over nkalagu cement if not that ebonyi state government messed up...how come ondo has not tapped into the large bitumen deposit in ondo?..i hope you know about the 'exclusive lists' of fg?why is Lagos not in charge of port charges and vat in Lagos? |

I love how Anambra is doing it in oil industry,i will recommend Enugu to follow suit. Tell the Jihadist at center you dont need their input before they begin to invade Enugu with Arab or Northern investors. Ugwuanyi MUST make it a point of duty to attract investment in the Coal industry before 2019 . Enugu state govt can't do jack unless giving permission by fg. |

kcthepundit: Let me correct something here, am from Imo and its true that the state is in a huge debt of N72b. However, the governor is owing civil servants 2months salary. The 11months salary you see on the paper is the no of months he owes some youths he enrolled in a programme he tagged "youth must work programme" where he pays them N20,000 monthly using SURE-P funds. However, due to financial mismanagement of his administration, lack of due process in handling state affairs, unguarded speeches which most times amount to failed promises, 'familiriocracy' (govt of his family and in-laws) and an accomplice cabinet/house of assembly; he was not able to manage this SUREP fund and state allocation properly amounting to this 11months owed these youths and 2months owed civil servants/teachers. Thanks. and this is why i have always said that when it comes to administration rochas is deficient |

Buhari's victory freed Imo State from deliberate victimization. not interested in all these cock and bull stories as that I how osun workers were brainwashed that it was Jonathan that was withholding osun's allocation hence why there were no salaries until now that it is they know that rauf's mismanagement is the real issue.. Ymodulus: Citing the Tin Can in lekki is not wrong. Reason been that Apapa and Tincan are over congested. Lagos needs more ports..
Do not get confused with my explanation you quoted. Am not against establishment of more ports in a state where there is need for more but against more ports in multiple states. Lagos already have Tin can island which is OVER CONGESTED, same goes to APAPA. So creating lekki Port is not a wrong move, as log as it falls within Lagos. However creating or spurring up ports in multiple states unnecessarily is a wrong move. well nothing unnecessary about a port in ibaka akwa ibom..apapa and tincan are conjested because of the planlessness of Nigeria...if Nigeria was well planned goods entering the country and meant for places in north east like bauchi and Maiduguri and south south and south east have no biz berthing in Lagos if if there was a functional deep port around rivers, akwa ibom and cross river with good access road to it and functional rail lines connecting to it and other parts of the country |
Politics › Re: Ibom Seaport Actualization Committee Inaugurated by asha80(m): 7:11pm On Jun 13, 2015 |
Ymodulus: Bro, while creation and availability of Ports are good for a country economy. It is also bad and needs to be controlled.
Even the world Greatest hub for manufacturing known as China has deliberately restricted her Port to Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Yiwu Province this goes a long way in addressing unforseen circumstances.
In fact recently the government of China had to trim down the ability of the shenzhen port here by promoting the Guangzhou province port.
All these affects the MACROECONOMIC INDICATORS / VARIABLES - (Money Supply, Exchange rate, inflation rate, Interest rate , GDP etc). And f not readily curbed can lead to a bad economy.
In conclusion, this project is Laudable, however it has to stop at Akwa Ibom. No port should be created at any other region close by to Akwa Ibom ( like Abia and likes. )
The earlier the government take note the better.
Ymodulus what have you to say about the proposed lekki port when apapa and tincan is there? |

South-south leaders should demand for upgrade of existing ports which should be far cheaper and as well urge for more utilization of the existing ports. The anti-Igbo stance of some of the host communities chased importers to Lagos and it will take years of FG intervention and good public relations to compete with Lagos. no other ports in ss can function with constant dredging..this seems to be the only deep axis in ss..as for there anti Igbo stance they are the one loosing on much needed revenue Macelliot nothing to get excited about unto it I finished |

Heard Keke us about to be banned in Owerri. Remember I always complained of the eyesore they constitute to a sane mind. It is a welcome development. On the other hand induscriminate building of flats which I termed Igbotic should be banned at least in Owerri. If one wants to build flats, it must be designed well and with lift. banning keke in owerri is just laughable..how does doing that generate revenue for imo govt?we are talking about generating revenue to run the state due to financial state of the country at the moment you are talking beauty and igbotic houses?so what is the alternative to keke after it had been banned?taxi?in owerri ?are you insane? Before you sink your mind into tinubu model for Imo what has the present Imo govt done to expand the tax base of the state? Designed with lift abi?average individuals building houses go carry lift for mind in Nigeria epilieptic power situation..very funny you will tell me why Lagos state govt that built rentage flats of up to three stories did not factor in lift Na individuals go factor in lift |

Abagworo: I never ever said Imo does not need industries. What I wrote is that Government is not meant to build industries but we the natives. I often cited Nnewi model as a good thing to emulate among Igbos at least for a start. I always wrote that no Governor or government can claim any form of help given to Nnewi either in terms of power, road, housing or water supply. Almost everything there is through self help.
The Kano picture happened to be necessary here because of too much Igbotic buildings being posted. Real highrises help give a city good skyline . your second paragraph is of no relevance to the issue I raised earlier..if you believe high rise building or your so called igbotic building I the reason why the person in that interview is saying the east is losing it industrial and commercial power then you are being mischievous..how does good skyline affect commercial and industrial nature of a town?when aba wad at its industrial peak and when nnewi came on board what was the skyline like? Mehn no need bring bringing irrelevant issues here..igbotic buildings as you say it has come to stay until various govts halt individuals from building houses fir rent and govt in turn starts building residential houses to let at reasonable fare..if you don't know all those your igbotic house are springing in places like amakaohia, akwakuma and uratta axis....shebi you say you have money and also rich, why.not go and build high rises in owerri and set and eg to others iinstead of all these lamentations about igbotic houses that has nothing to do with what I earlier posted about |
