ROBBERs BEWARE!!!!!!! Mob sets 2 robbers ablaze in Anambra

ONITSHA—Barely two weeks after a mob set ablaze two armed robbers at New Tyres Market, Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, for snatching huge sums of money from a trader, two other armed robbers were, yesterday, burnt to ashes along Limca Road in the same area.
The two robbers, armed with pistols, according to eyewitnesses, had blocked a lady, who boarded a commercial motorcycle with a Ghana-must-go bag filled with money and heading towards a bank, and allegedly snatched the bag from her.
According to the source, as the lady, believed to be a cashier in one of the petrol stations along the road, was being taken to the bank by the commercial motorcyclist, the armed robbers, riding their own motorcycle, closed in on them and ordered her to surrender the bag of money at gunpoint.
The source said she surrendered the bag to them, but as the thieves made to zoom off, their motorcycle somersaulted.
Mob action
It was gathered that some passers-by alerted policemen and went after them. Bullets reportedly did not penetrate their bodies. They were, however, over-powered by the mob and set ablaze.
It was learned that one of the robbers removed the burning tyre from his neck and fled with his body on fire.
He was, however, caught again by the mob, who tied his hands and legs, pushed him into a drainage with his accomplice and set them ablaze a second time.
Vehicular movements were disrupted along the road for many hours, even as some members of Anambra Traffic Management Agency, ATMA, were busy trying to control the traffic.
The Divisional Police Officer at Ogidi, Mr. Hassan Musa, told newsmen on phone that although he heard about the incident, the scene was under the jurisdiction of Awada Police Division.
He, however, described their death as two less the number of criminals operating in the state.
“If the public could always rise like this to defend themselves from the menace of the robbers, Anambra would then become a crime-free state, as desired by the state government and law-abiding citizens,” he said.
danm those robbers are die hard

I am yet to understand your point. The factory is located right after his campaign office as you can clearly see on the 1st pics. I thought you were from Imo State. Why are you not building yours? Mine is ongoing too as we want to support Okorocha's efforts.

Finally only Nnewi people built many industries in their town. Orlu people equaly did even though less than Nnewi. Jacobs wines, Decorkote, Campharm, Consolidated breweries that produces 33 and Legend as well as many pharmaceutical and oil processing companies are there. So I do not get your point of pretending there were no industries in Imo State even before 1999. You should only support the fact that more needs to be done to curb unemployment not only in Imo but in Nigeria.
my point is ararume has no background in the industrial field simple..that building has always been their for as long as i remember ararume and politics in Imo..what does the so called ararume industry their produce?don't even want to talk about jerry chukwueke....if you are building industry good but dont tell me about ararume

No serious minded Governor will commence rehabilitation works at the peak of rainy season; and from what I'm seeing, this is the less dilapidated part of that road. Its the same 'No idea' construction company TA Orji used in applying cosmetics on the roads that this same guy is using.
After, he will quote N5bil as construction cost.

Abeg, when they are serious, we will know.

pls can you tell me ararume's antecedents in the industrial field?which industrial complex? Abeg his investment I know is his petrol station along okigwe road opposite federal girls...pls quit this talk about Imo millionaires now believing in buhari to invest in Imo...as if those Imo millionaires did not exist when Imo and fg were in the same party under udenwa and ohakim..so what about other states that their indegens invested in their states before?did they believe Nigeria was not working then?...lol I just saw the pic you posted ..that same ararume's campaign headquarters around irete on owerri Onitsha highway? Even though he plans to demolish illegal structure but he should compensate the owners no matter how small the money may be.

Also If according to the govt official, the planned no of structure to demolish happens to be true "100,000 buildings"... hmm, only God will know what the future holds for Governor bearing in mind how the heart of men has always been right from ages.

He should tread carefully over such decision knowing fully well that umuahia were such was carried out can never be the same with Aba. Aba is a place were people has sweated it out in order to reach were they are and you expect the person to be docile as you demolish his sweat...
illegal structures are illegal structures..compensation here is just moot...if you really want develop and rebuild aba to the original master plan then some structures have to go down..no two ways aboh it.

Okorocha Woos Investors with $2m, Free Land
May 30, 2015 : Uche Onyema, Owerri

Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has promised interested industrialists and investors an assistance of $2m and plots of land to any investor, who will invest in the state.

He stated this on Friday at the Imo International Convention Centre, during a dinner to mark his second term inauguration in office.

Okorocha said, “We are willing to give $2m, parcels of land and other incentives to attract industrialists to our state, so that our youths can get jobs. Industry plus factory equal to wealth creation; that is what we are going to do.”

He explained that the state government was having crucial talks with industrialists from Turkey and South Africa to build factories in the state.

The governor added that Senator Ifeanyi Araraume, Chief Jerry Chukwueke and Chief Tony Chukwune, among those that recently defected to the All Progressives Congress, had promised to build two industries each in the state.

The penalty for killing a Python in Igboland is to bury it as you would your own father with full funeral rites. But it is possible that there maybe some parts of Igboland that no longer observe this tradition due to Christianity.
we kill all snakes whether python, aju ala, okporo in my hometown in Imo...
But we dont kill monkeys

Are you privy to the approval plans during the Chairmanship of Allen Nwachukwu let alone the old Aba masterplan that never extended to those interiors?

Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu is operating with old Aba masterplan and not necessarily a pick-n-chose demolition or a vendetta.

If Osisioma Ngwa had a masterplan that superseded the uncoordinated indigenous buildings then you would have been right query OSCDA. However, it is worthy to note that the power to draw such plans resides with State Governments while the LGAs implements.

Secondly, people use State and Federal connections to intimidate LGAs officials into approving illegal structures.
I dont think any new master plan (which I doubt exist now) involves allowing structures near to the roads...i specifically mentioned Allen because I have relations this affected

Enugu State pride of the east. Imagine if the coal field and orji river hydro-thermal power plant are fully working.

But wait ooo how can Enugu's IGR be more than Anambra and Abia even Imo that has a kind of oil and gas business.

Maybe the 3 other states are hiding their earning.

Wait again don't under rate Ebonyi too: the Nkalagu cement, Abakaliki quarry and lime stones, Abakaliki rice field and mills would compete with 042 ooo
nkalagu cement is dormant

Dollar101:
It was raining a cool evening when I decided to pick my friend's wife that was trapped due to the rain, then I got stock on my way to pick her, because of the bad road I had to take an unusual route, then suddenly as I was driving pass the road my car just stopped running, then the water underneath was just at the tyre level, then I was trying to get the car running by attempting to start the car severally but it didn't start, so i stayed there hoping when the rain stops I will come down to check what it was...I stayed for about 30 minutes but then it was still raining so I decided to slide the car seat back to lay and relax, suddenly I started feeling water underneath my feet, I was shocked to see that the water outside has increased, almost half way to the door, but then water was coming in slightly through the door and underneath, before I knew it there was so much water in the car and there was nothing I could do because if I open the door, more water will come in...then I opened the car window and came out through it, looked for a bow and started bailing water out of the car...till the rain stopped, this was an awful experience and I wish never to encounter such ever again...This happened in Owerri, imo state, it is one project that the governor of the state has failed to address and it is causing a lot of harm, I spent about 400k to get my car running again, wasn't easy at all... someone please tell the governor to do something about this...have a wonderful morning my fellow Nairalanders..
pls which road is this?
