I am sure that will be considered and factored into the bigger picture. Ultimately, change will be embraced as the only constant factor in life.

They will embrace the future and all the benefit it has to offer them and not fight it. Fighting will be futile.

With that said, asha08 ur kind of people are in every ethnic group, they are never ready for change or the next level, so they fight it, but later appreciate it and its benefit. grin
nope I like facing reality instead of being unnecessarily emotional about issues

U are answering questions with questions? I said wat are they presently working on in the east. The answer should be all the above. Why plan one by one, if u see can have the bigger picture. The bigger picture makes things happen faster without error.
having bigger picture without taking into consideration the historical settlement and sense of loyalty of the average easterner is a waste of time

Wat is currently happening in the east? Why remain basic level forever? Man must grow.
do you have good roads tansversing your town?are all pathways tarred?do you have 24hrs uninterrupted power supply in your home town?do you have a mail office in your home town?do you have reticulated pipe borne clean water in all the houses in your him town?do you have quality primary and secondary schools that can compete with Malaysia in your hometown? If you have all these the move to the next level

ChimaAdeoye:
I have typically noticed that it is our people in USA that understand that building basic infrastructure is more important than trying to replicate new York city. This realization often comes with traveling and living abroad especially in a place like USA that has multiple levels of great cities.

I have the same pain when people talk about replicating Lagos in the SE or replicating Onitsha in Nnewi or Awka. it all goes to show they have missed the whole lesson on sustainable cities.

Many average American cities that are not the huge ones such as (Atlanta,New york,Boston,Los Angeles,Miami, Houston, Dallas, Chicago,Washington DC,Baltimore) have just every amenity, working public utilities and ability to support business than the mega cities. Therefore, there is no need to replicate Miami in Jacksonville because whatever is obtainable in Miami is also obtainable in Jacksonville. Therefore, replicating flawed mega cities is just the worst type of mindset.

As Odenigbo said, putting in the BASIC infrastructure in a planned conducive city is all you need. ofcourse, the idea of building business parks which Obi started in Onitsha then stopped is an excellent tool used by small American cities to provide standard office spaces within designated areas of the city to enable businesses to easily find lettable office space to set up.Some may want to use central business district, it's fine. but it mustn't be a term always associated with skyscrapers and sorts.

We can talk about providing business parks for many SE cities to enable business lettable office spaces within the city to set up easily, but aiming to build empty skyscrapers just to compete with elsewhere betrays one's vain mindset.
simply put

All these replication new York in in Onitsha talks makes me shake my head...strive to put basic amenities that drive towns and cities first

In the light of the present dwindling oil revenue and low tax base of the state what can be suggested to raise revenue to continue capital much needed projects?scrapping of the free uni education, increasing tax?the mission school govt still runs and the original church owners want back what happens to them?whether we like it or not oil revenue is unlikely to bounce back to what it was before
it seems nobody wants to discuss this...or are we all going to bury our heads under the ground?
PoliticsRe: Dangote To Supply 24-hour Power To Lagos by asha80(m): 2:49pm On Jun 11, 2015
huh
winterfell007:
Dangote has always seen an opportunity in d gas to power business.the company I work for is doing a similar project in Aba. Oando is building a compressed natural gas plant in order 2 truck gas to existing and new industrial estate in aba and PH 4 captive power generation. If Dangote completes d project, it will open areas for industrial development in Lekki.
I've noticed some people making negative tribal comment which it'snt proper. They must understand not only Lagos will benefit but Naij as a whole. A prosperous lagos could only mean a better Nigeria. Jah bless.
which new industrial estate in aba?is it oando doing it?

Wonder why when rochas was listing criteria like cpc bringing out buhari, acn bringing out osinbajo and apga nothing he did not mention anpp...is it because it favours onu?

Okorocha submitted 3 names. Ngige, Anwuka and Onu.
we all know that okorochas preference is anwuka(his former ssg and in law) while buhari knows onu more having worked with him in anpp then so what I said still stand.

I hope so but reality is that Okorocha is the man behind the mask in APC.
I would believe that if anwuka becomes sgf instead of ogbonnaya onu(if se is still in contention for that)

Chime okafor was never in the race as he is not a ranking senator(he is a new comer)...as for ekweremadu seeking for senate president not sure how true that story is because from get go pdp was out of the pic for any position in the senate until yesterday when it was obvious that apc house was in disarray and an alliance that would allow Ike become dsp surfaced....if only all these would attract more infrastructure to imo

the guy raise up men.full of emotions he refuse to differentiate between dreams ND realities. I laugh at how clueless apga can be.it shows u how uneducated they are about our laws.the constitution entails that all party must have their national hqtr at abuja in other to prevent sectionalism.even when the defunct acn was existing the national hqtr was still abuja.this at this junction I can conclude convincingly Igbo as no leader.
I don't think I ever commented on apga hqtrs location
