Abagworo: I believe Okorocha is not leading by example or maybe he is being restricted as a result of his present position. He is trying but he faced a very tough battle with a gang up of Imo elites in his 1st term but yet able to do all he did. Imo industrialising has little or nothing to do with Okorocha but with Imo rich men whose interest is immediate return on investment. Nnewi men did their thing and no living soul can give any Governor credit for that. They did it as a sacrifice to help their people.
However expect accelerated proliferation of home investments by Imolites in the next 4 years. People seem to forget that Okorocha has done only one tenure and he inherited an Imo State destroyed by PDP just like Buhari has done at national level today. He also does not have the resources to offset the PDP years of deficiency in the twinkling of an eye. I have visited everywhere in SS and SE and make bold to say Imo witnessed the highest level of progress in the last 4 years. to be honest I still have my doubts since his eyes is on the presidency and he would working towards that..hope that would not be another distraction... |

RareDiamond: Orlu zone already have the largest skill acquisition center in South East zone located in Ohaji/Egbema built by ministry of Niger Delta/NDDC. it has not started functioning emmysoftyou: bro............ yu re so concerns about orlu local gvt but not the local govt from orlu zone....... Is it because you re from orlu'? Is orlu the only place in imo state that deserve state university? You said imo polytechnic does not benefit the people of orlu zone but favoured the people of owerri more. I smelled selfishness in egojustus.com.. But we re imo people?yes the great imo stars and the people of imo cos we represent them as a whole... We have other places in imo state that need state university too, lets us join hands to seek the government to develop other places in imo state too.. In akwa ibom state, they have mini towns and major towns, the mini towns re oron, ibeno, ikot abasi, onna and etinan while the major towns re uyo, eket, ikot ekpene and abak.. Very nice place to cool off and catch fun... am yet to witness mini town in imo state, except all these mini less town like mbaise,mbano(oriagu/umuezeala),ngor okpala(ulakwo)and oguta.they all mini less towns that need a drastic development urgently... it must not be university in orlu,we need industries or something more than that,it must not be school of engineering in okigwe,we need a lot factories and manufacturer companies there, Imo state with her 2nd highest population in the east deserves enough firms, industries and enough manufacturing firm.. Rochas from orlu zone is not seeing what am seeing, cos he is there inviting president buhari to come and see his billionaire house instead of acting like imo needs more fund to complete all the uncompleted projects in imo state.. Nnewi man dont ve time for showcasing but works his time to get more things done. you honestly think rochas is thinking what you are thinking?you think administrative wise rochas is that good?give it to him when it comes to politics but when it comes to administratively project Imo state into finacial bouyancy and industrialization policies I have my doubts |

Any of the companies you mentioned by the imo state government or anybody for that matter , so it is safe to assume that they completed the work according to the TERMS AND CONDITIONS of the contract.... And my dear there is no such thing as "china roads" until there is concrete and official evidence that the Above mentioned companies are not competent enough to carry out their chosen duties...it is safe to assume that you asha80 made a baseless and unfounded allegation against them Thanks once again haha ok oo. Cuche: AKS has money building the port will not be any challenge for them. It is high time our region began to think out of the box. They should start planning. Tell AKS Government why they should complete that sea port and the will deliver They've always been part of us, stood firmly by us during the civil war even when our brothers from Rivers State chickened out The Oba of Lagos brouhaha is an eye opener building of any seaport is on the exclusive list..the state cannot do it alone |

Cuche: River Niger at that Northern boundary is narrow and divided by lands as a result we don't need a big budget bridge to connect Anambra to Kogi State. Thinking about regional emancipation, that bridge will enhance commence and increase the trade volumes, what I mean is that instead of Northern traders from Kogi, Nassarawa, Gombe, Benue and Taraba going to Lagos to buy goods, they will head to the much closer Onitsha The same way I am thinking that SE Governors should meet and find a way of getting a high grade road cutting from Akwa*Ibom deep sea port across Abia to Anambra. Such that we will not have need of moving our containers from Lagos deep sea port yet to materialize? |

uduokirika1: asha80 that was my stance, WE both government, Individuals and communities must understand the collective efforts needed to steer the course of development! in the 50s,60s and 70s a lot of communities in igboland were willing to giving land for anything that would bring development or as we used to say mmepe obodo but that attitude later changed..insincerity of govts had a hand in this |

cjrane: Onitsha and Aba based business men. When you ask them, the excuse is that they want to use Emirates. Those of them that will still board Ethiopian in Lagos will tell you they prefer the bigger plane in Lagos than the one at Enugu. Which they have never used to begin with.
So how will Emirates,Lufthansa and all those excuses they mention, come to Enugu if nobody is ready to use an international airport in Igboland? Our people are sometimes truly silly. what?is this the mentality? What daft mentality in this? Or is it a case of semi literacy of most them? |
Politics › Re: Anambra light of the nation, eastern economy power house. by asha80(m): 11:51am On Jun 02, 2015 |
Uduokrika1 ibeto's issue with nkalagu cement was not about land itself but elechi's archaic thinking of domination cjrane: You are absolutely right about International airport access to thriving business. Our people are really funny. We understand all these advantages of having a functional airport, we know the other parts of Nigeria had refused to have the airport in Igboland functional to deny us the advantages. Yet we refuse to patronize our own . We have the Enugu International airport almost idle, yet most of them prefer going to use the Lagos Intl. for the same trips to Dubai and China. If you add the cost of local flight from Asaba to Lagos to board the international flight, it is considerable. While they could easily board the same flight at Enugu and fly out directly. Now tell me if that makes sense? is it for those based in east or Lagos? |

BuddahMonk: Less competition but access to big market, Kano took the destiny abi fate of the most surrounding states in the North but in East there are always competitors around, both manufacturers and importers.
Golden Oil is in Onitsha too. One Groundnut oil coy there at Upper Iweka beside Ochanja. There just to many of such coys in Anambra and Abia state so the market here is saturated. well chicason as at last year was building palm oil plant in nnewi so no issue of nearness to raw materials there. |

ChimaAdeoye: Buddah my brother, please continue speaking up. Don't be deterred by the numerous yoruba monikers that hate and would want to ridicule objective and strategic thinking Igbos like you. In Nigeria, everyone thinks about how to site things within their region and state EXCEPT Igbos. Then they cry loudest when such is burned to the ground by irate mobs especially in the north. I remember in one of Chikason's speaches, he mentioned that he lost half of his profit by siting his groundnut oil factory in Nnewi than Kano. Luckily for him, his factory is still survivng today while another Igboman that had a vegetable oil factory in Kaduna was destroyed and burnt to the ground in 2000! Now who was smarter? Chikason that took lower profit margin but safeguarded his investment for his children or the Igbo industrialist in Kaduna that made a lot of money, but today his factory no longer exist?
Like Aguiyi Ironsi that refused to acknowledge that a coup could happen to him, many Igbos simply cannot learn until it is too late. Those that want to invest in Yoruba and hausaland without anything to fall back on in their state can continue to do so. Yorubas and even the Oba of Lagos have told them that they will end up in the Lagoon, but they'd rather laugh it off. i am watching them in 3D goggles. i just don't want anyone coming back to cry "had i known" to me. This is the time to READ the hand writing on the wall and act wisely. question is though why should half of chicason profit be lost on siting that factory in nnewi than if it was sited in Kano? |

BuddahMonk: My brother outsiders always wish they have billionaires like us but they don't know our so called billionaires are nothing but pains in the asss to us.
Emeka Offor has no investment in Anambra after destroying the state.
The only thing Arthur Eze did for his people was attracting LG headquaters at Ukpo after running down Premier Brewery Onitsha.
Chris Uba has no bungalow in Anambra after destroying the state.
Andy Uba has nothing after destroying the state.
Ifeanyi Uba can only boast of one filling station in Nnewi and a poorly run football club.
Obijackson is trying shaa but enough of his philanthropy but more of investments and job creations.
Look at Uche Oga of Masters Energy is building Energy City at Isikwuato.
If Atiku were to be an Anambra man he will prolly tell you that there is no seaport in Anambra so no need to site University and feedmill there.
Cecilia Ibru and hubby took their Univ in their city of Warri.
Nobody has ever build anything in Igboland except Igbos, this is a very disturbing reality
Its only Nnewi people that always remember home, they believe that a tenant doesn't plant flower. I think obijackson should be cut some slack abeg...building power plant is not moi moi especially when your kinsmen who are supposed to support you are busy dragging you to court over land over a project that would in the end benefit them |

Abagworo: What a good move to start of road construction but the issue is completing them. I think he should embark on revenue drive or fixed infrastructure levy on house to house basis. Finally something needs to be done about tge Igbotic houses. you better live and get used to those houses because they are going nowhere |
