Peter Obi, we have heard. Bring your Obidigbo in 2017 and lets see how it goes. That is if he gets ur PDP ticket ahead of Andy Ubah.
so if they leave you will not mind Andy uba becoming your governor?

Unless run as a private entity with maybe govt having minimal shares I don't see how this will be sustainable

Since nzeribe has gone can someone point out hope uzodinma and what he has influenced to orlu axis( though I know he is from oru west or is it east?)

It's Orji
then remove that amakohia label you gave

Also this must the view from orji end as I aware of the from both ends sides of imsu end

Even the flyover previously rumoured about being built with 6 inches block has suddenly changed to concrete.
well I am inclined to believe this is amakaohia flyover because I know this is definitely not orji as I know how orji own looks like

jamjo:
The word "Quality" is what constructions are all about, my friend without it constructions are useless. Rural or high traffic roads we need quality i rather see the governor construct five or six quality roads then ten or fifteen substandard roads.
rochas mindset on these issues is baffling
PoliticsRe: Few Pics From Imo State by asha80(m): 1:08pm On Mar 24, 2016
Abagworo:
Are you serious? When did it urbanise to that level? The last time I was there scanty unplanned housing developments were ongoing around Uratta housing up to that power line. I think its called Amawire. Has the urbanisation passed there?
it seems you went there last around 2008...it is still a bit unplanned in that axis but largely built up especially with residential modern normal 2 story variations of houses pilgrims all the way to that urrata junction/round past ama wire axis
PoliticsRe: Few Pics From Imo State by asha80(m): 12:44pm On Mar 24, 2016
Abagworo:
I've never reached the end of MCC/Uratta Road but from google it is about 12km and ends at Otamiri. I want to believe work will only be done on the urban length of about 4 km.
from mcc junction in wetheral to where the mcc urratta rd ends at uratta juntion/ round about in urrata is 95 % urbanized

If what you wrote above is true then the more reason why direct labour shouldn't have been used since it is just 4km
PoliticsRe: Few Pics From Imo State by asha80(m): 12:10pm On Mar 24, 2016
Abagworo:
Orji, Amakohia and Concorde are the 3. I will try source picture of level that of Amakohia has attained.
I dont mind direct labour work for rural road construction but not a high traffic rd like mcc
PoliticsRe: Few Pics From Imo State by asha80(m): 11:58am On Mar 24, 2016
Abagworo:
I hope so. Okorocha likes using direct labour instead of international contractors with bidding in order to cut cost. The Orji flyover looks good though.
good to cut cost but not sacrificing quality a whole lot..you said this is the third flyover so which is the first?( I assume orji is second)
PoliticsRe: Few Pics From Imo State by asha80(m): 11:49am On Mar 24, 2016
Abagworo:
Work commences on 3rd flyover in Owerri. Those who know Owerri will recognise this spot which is Concorde junction.
if only it will be a quality job unlike the gutters being constructed now in mcc rd
PoliticsRe: The Politics of Village/Town Development In Anambra State:Adazi Nnukwu by asha80(m): 7:44am On Mar 24, 2016
Yujin:
Great thread nwanna. Anambra its in a league of its own when compared to other states in Nigeria. Having travelled and lived in other regions both East, West and North I can confidently say what I've said. Adazi Nnukwu is representing wella.
Now, when some westerners erroneously assume that our saying that we want to visit our villages imply we want to go back to antiquity and abandoned lands, it is borne out of sheer ignorance. Many of them are only working with what holds sway in their own domain. This is what I mean. The settlement pattern between ndigbo and ndi-Yoruba is not the same. The settlement pattern among ndigbo is mainly of a villa kind with dispersed homes cascading in a well defined boundary. Just few of our communities had a compacted settlement that gives a sort of an urbane settlement. During my travels around Igboland, places I saw such closely knitted houses traditionally are in the Oratta(Owerri) area of Imo state and the Ika(Agbor)area of delta state. This is to say that compacted settlements among the majority of Ndigbo is a new thing. On coming to Yorubaland, the opposite is the case. Closely knitted houses which gave rise to an urban outlook was the norm. Most of their villages were isolated and thinly peopled and will always remain so because only few people hail from such places and with the recent rural-urban migration, they are the worst hit. Unlike in Igboland where villages are thickly populated and not in isolation but are tied to nearby patrilineally related villages to make up a community, those in Yorubaland are in isolation- each village to itself. As of today, a good number of those Igbo communities have taken the shape of townships with infrastructural improvements and social amenities in many of them. This is the reason why most Igbo people travel back home during the end of the year. Oh yes, some of them are still as primitive as of old but the houses therein are of the modern type. So when next you as an Igbo man tells your Yoruba friend that you are travelling to the village, understand why he thinks you are going back to obscurity.
apt especially the settlement pattern

4.5 km road at 1bnhuh Hmm. That's a whooping N220m per km, even NDDC roads are nt that expensive.

Back to topic, Anambra is very close to both Enugu and Asaba airports. So an airport in Anambra today is far from being priority. There should be more urgent infrastructure like roads, power and more industries before an airport.
from what I have heard it takes around 250m to build a standard 1km of rd

042reports:
Enugu state is gradually returning to it's formal status, Since His Excellency Sullivan Iheanacho Chime the formal Governor of Enugu State handed over to this current Government on may last year. Since then, Some of the infrastructural amenities which he puted in place in Enugu state are now gradually decaying.. What is happening? With what am seeing now, i doubt whether this current Government will attract massive development in all parts of Nigeria just like the past regime of GEJ's Government did.. People are dieing everyday on Enugu Onitsha Expressway.. What effort have our senators representing south east made in order to reconstruct it ? Is it because they travel through airways that can make them not to present a proposal for senate commitee on works to look into the reconstruction of that road? You see the reason why i vowed longtime a go not to remember our polticians in my daily prayers? They are getting richer everday why their subjects whom are praying for them on daily basis are getting poorer.. What a world? My Loved ones, our Nigerian leaders can never save us, it is only God almighty that wil always be with us even when the price per a litre of fuel is 1,000. So let us commite our economy into the hands of God and not our leaders because they have no plans for us. What a shame! A country were millions of it's citizens are unemployed. Let me ask you, that your certificate, did you attended school for it to be inside your box after graduation? Yet you stil pray for them while their children are enjoying them selves outside Nigeria. you are here still praying for them abi? Ok keep praying for them.. Do you know the funniest thing? They are preparing their children to come and lead you people in years to come yet you stil pray for them. Keep praying.. Nah! and that reminds me Abeg Try Do Sanitation na abi you dirty neh and no forget Road block oo
you are all over the place my friend

Who are you blaming? Presidency, governor or representatives of Enugu state?

By the way check that 'puted in place' line..makes you sound like an uneducated guy

The recently resuscitated public water supply in Owerri metropolis may not last long as a result of unpatriotic actions of citizens . I saw this picture and felt bad. Will Okorocha be blamed for the people already cut off by this sabotage?
might not be sabotage but damaged pipe all these yrs water pipes ran dry..some people working with water authority came by yesterday to notify they would come back to work on damaged pipes at the house...thing is we have switched to borehole since
