How were they caught unawares? How can people who got prior notice of an attack suddenly became caught unawares. Why didn't the youths of the community mobilize themselves to forestall the attack? Tell that your cock and bull story to fellow weakling as your Governor. If it were in the past, the youths of that community would have been publicly stripped naked, flogged and banished. What insolence?
A group of fools saw signs that some nomadic herdsmen were planning to attack their village, rather than arm themselves and lie in wait, the coward efulefu's all went to bed early and pretended as if nothing would happen. If I may ask, how can a handful of herdsmen come to a community, kill, rape, pillage and overpower agile grown ups in their ancestral land. It's unheard of, especially in Igboland for that matter. Ew! Chineke ekwele ihe ojo. Inshort, that area should be ceeded to the middle belt, I am beginning to doubt the genetics of those weaklings.
unheard of? You no dey listen or read news? You can as well doubt the genetics of these people in Imo state

PoliticsRe: Abagworo Any Update On Shell Gas Plant In Ohaji, okigwe Bottling Company? by asha80(m): 10:08pm On Apr 27, 2016
IsraeliAIRFORCE:
Shell came to reclaim Shell Camp because they want to relocate their headquarters back to Imo State.

The company wants to concentrate on gas exploration & production and since they have their highest Gas cache in Ohaji, Imo State, their concentration is now geared towards building the largest Gas Company in Africa there.
I wonder how they are going to reclaim a place they earlier sold up to 40yrs ago..yea 3.5bn dollars is no small money so that plant has to be big.

Give ultimatum to the traders(shop owners) that there shop would be demolished, they will paste a number to call. The traders now call to negotiate, then they pay. the so called illegal Structure remain Cemetary market comes mind.

Now they have given another ultimatum, that ICT/Electrical dealers (along St micheal's rd, Pound rd, Faulks rd) should move to Aba Shopping Mall near Osisima park. 1st May 2016 is the final day. I just went to that shopping Mall today, nothing is happening. I suppose the dealers has called and negotiate.

PoliticsRe: Lagos To Demolish 800 Houses For 4th Mainland Bridge by asha80(m): 4:03pm On Apr 26, 2016

Everything is perfect.

My concern is, when the Atlantic project, Dangote refinery, and other massive projects are completed and the '4th' is completed, you now funnel all that traffic to LA-IB express (2/3 lanes) . . . duh!
undecided

I heard a second LA-IB super-highway is part of the Chinese projects that was negotiated, would that be done simultaneously, or before the 4th? It has to, or else we're looking forward to major gridlock at the Lagos exit.
Goke7:
Lagos must be de-congested, other states need to wake up and develop, the more Lagos expand its infrastructure, its population will increase thereby overstretching any new developed infrastructure.
states like Ogun and Oyo states need to wake up seriously, Ogun is trying but can do more especially in terms of real estate, Ibadan need to start having a vision of a mega city. Finally states across the Niger need to improve.
The mass emigration to Lagos from other parts of the country need to be controlled by other states developing rapidly i terms of infrastructure and evolution of industries, if not we would talking of a fifth mainland bridge soon. I rest my case
Lagos will continue to be increasingly congested and witness countless gridlocks until fg(since they have 52% of revenue) deliberately divert traffic away from Lagos

That is to the gain of Imo economy. Noticed Imo got a new mass transit scheme but I dislike the use of Okorocha poster on the buses. They should have been left bare as they came. I wish Okorocha could stop these self advert as it kind of makes his efforts less appreciative. His handlers should please give him a good advice as Government comes and goes. The only thing he has not done is making his aids put on clothes designed with his pictures.
okorocha suffers from narcissism...I am not sure how you have not noticed by now

Imo is not doing badly in terms of wealth. We are one of the richest States in Nigeria if based on average wealth distribution. Our Government is not wealthy as a result of many factors which existed from colonial era. The major markets, industries and transport hubs have always been in Onitsha, Aba and Enugu. What we should do is to continue building on tourism because that is where Imo has an edge. It will take a while but believe you me it's gradually paying off. It will not take up to 15 years more.

Many Naira Billionaires from Rivers State have either quietly relocated to Owerri, own a Hotel there or are erecting a mansion to move in before year end. What do you think is the reason?
for the last paragraph because of high criminality in rivers?

Just 14 days ago in abia state, many fulani people were killed and some were even buried alive. What did nigeria media outlets do, they all downplayed it and some were even insulting DSS for bringing such discovery to limelight
the same mass graves that was said to contain two Igbo bodies abi? So Igbos are now herdsmen?

fiizznation:
Yes I know they farmers are no their lands. But my friend do you think is actually proper for the farmers to kill any herdsmen just because their cattle's encroached their farms? It is not right. Take for instant what happened in plateau state some years back. Do you know that the berom people just woke up one morning and started killing Fulani people just because a lady had some Muslims at the Friday mosque praying ground. The killing of Fulani went on with even the support of the then governor Joshua dariye. Nobody talked about that but the moment Fulani people took their own reprisal attacks, the media houses started painting the Fulani people as the villians.

We just all have to find a common ground in finding a lasting solution to these problems, but politicizing it won't help anyone
common ground should be these Fulani herdsmen should henceforth stop entering into peoples' farms for their cattle to graze...it is archaic...they should buy lands(what they are doing is a business) and feed their cattle...end of..

No, Ethiopian Airline has not stopped their operations.

The poster was implying that Air Peace international operations may not commence due to the alleged pot holes on the runway which I think is all politics.
what do you think is the politics? The story of alleged potholes or non repair of the potholes?

We told them.

Invest the wealth in human capital.

Enrich the minds of our people.

Manage the youth, create factories (certainly not hotels), improve the general well being of the people.

Enact laws that make local power production easily achievable.

We had the power and might. The finance and connections. Yet, we mismanaged everything.

We encouraged militancy, we distributed guns and munitions. Reacted angrily to opposing views.

Now we live in penury... Once again.

Ok we'll revert to militancy once again. Burst pipelines, kidnap foreigners and locals alike.

The ultimate loss would still be ours.

Sustainable development appears alien to us.

We despoil our land and waterways.

Simply Irritating and repugnant.

I weep for my People.

are you from bayelsa?

I can see some of you have started abusing him, and even abusing the Yorubas. You lots can never agree that everything is wrong in your region. Why are you lots shielding something that's even against ICAO standard.

A very good runway can not take nothing less than 6 years to complete

If you see any runway that was built for less than 2 years, be dead sure, it can never last for more than a year.

One of the best runways, if not the best runway we have in this country is in Ibadan airport.

It's always joyous for any pilot flying to the airport, hopefully in future, when there's more traffic, the airport can be expanded.
six yrs to build a 3.5km runway?

I laugh at you.

Slavery didn't originate with 'whites' nor did
it end after it was outlawed in 'white'
countries. For example, Muslims began
buying and selling large numbers of African
slaves 600 years before Europeans did and
continued to do so until at least 100 years
after. The prevalence of 'white' slavery is
also rarely if ever discussed. Between one
and one and a half million white European
sailors and residents of coastal villages were
enslaved by the (Islamic) Barbary pirates.
This included many from Britain itself,
particularly in Devon and Cornwall. These
and other aspects of slavery are rarely, if
ever, discussed or debated because it
doesn't fit the anti-white agenda. Neither
does the fact that it was black (African)
tribal leaders who, during military conquests
of other tribes or states, captured and
enslaved their fellow black Africans then sold
them in the slave markets to the highest
bidder. With slavery being such a lucrative
business wars were often launched with the
sole purpose of enslavement in mind.
Another source came from within the
enslaving societies themselves. Just as Britain
disposed of it's convicts, heretics, debtors
and ne'er do wells by sending them to the
colonies so did the African tribal leaders by
selling them as slaves.

The same Babaginda that nationalize most foreign companies in Nigeria. Eg the Shell built oil refinery in Port Harcourt, Esso oil , later converted to African petroleum and now Forte oil.

How did IBB work with the west.
Secondly which ancestors built the west.
same slaves that could not build Haiti and Liberia.
shell built refinery in ph was nationalized in 1974 during the indigenization process then and babangida was not head of state then

The herdsmen business is unique in nature. As such, it requires unique solution.

From long time ago, cattle rearing has been a problem in our country. The difference now is the advent of social media which have made it possible to know more of the atrocities committed by some of them.

Whichever way you look at it, what the government is attempting to do is the perfect and lasting solution to the challenges.
