Amplitron: Interesting. So NLC pays salary directly. Not government? that is the agreement reached during the last strike over the sacking of 3000 workers..labour now collects 70% of allocation of Imo to pay salaries and pension leaving 30% to state government to run the state..i have to agree with Abagworo here as I see crisis ahead within labour itself as this scenario is just not sustainable |

Nixon55: Is it that they no longer teach reading and comprehension in Nigerian schools or just that the students outrighlty refuse to learn. The article clearly stated that the Black Rhino group is investing in three power related projects. 1. Solar plant in Kano (100mw) 2. Coal power plant in South East (1000mw) 3. Gas pipe line from Akwa Ibom to Lagos and onwards to Ghana. Is this hard to comprehend? What's the fuss about Akwa Ibom being in South East or South South? Nigerian masses being their own enemies... the coal power plant is in Kano...read the third paragraph and also fourth paragraph well..'set up a coal power plant and solar plant in kano'and 'ganduje said that the consortium decided to set up the power plants in kano' no where was it written set up coal power plant in se. |

Abagworo: Not completely true. He said Imolites will be allowed to choose a candidate for APC and those 2 are out of dozens of possible popular choice but Chike Okafor, Araraume, Madumere and Jude Ejiogu equally enjoy good will. remove ararume and madumere from that list ..they are not worth it if you ask me |

Abia State Governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu is committed to make it happen as he took a tour of the facilities and urged the construction workers rebuliding the factory to remain focused as his Government is always ready to see for their need. When in full gear, the. Abia State owned company will employ more than 2000 graduates and non graduates in Nigeria.
Recall that the company was shut down in 2003 following fire outbreak that engulfed it during the administration of Orji Uzor Kalu in the state. what is the ownership structure of golden guinea? |

That has made me to question your claim of being an Igbo son.

Since that govt was led by a cretin named ta orji are you in doubt of why it has not yet materialized? I am sure if i did not post those links you probably would not have known of that supposed partnership ..that is what a patriotic Igbo is supposed to find out |

LordAdam: Paste the whole content here. That's how it's done on NL.
I think that is not a good news considering that Saudi Arabia had finally agreed to a freeze.
Let us continue monitoring the situation and what will happen in June OPEC meeting.
Someone should tell Buhari to start making hay while the sun shines ooo. If OPEC no freeze output by June, kasala go burst for this country ooo. Russia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar don already dey plan ahead, na only Nigeria dey wait for increase in oil price.
-Lord just watched an Iranian official been interviewed and he said Iran cannot set an oil embargo on itself by cutting any oil output. That Iran is going to reach their production level before the embargo before it even listens to any talk about cutting back..he said it in such a way to suggest that other oil nations should not bother them about cutting oil output http://money.cnn.com/2016/02/28/news/economy/iran-oil-production-deputy-minister-interview/ |

ijustdey: http://dailypost.ng/2016/02/29/crude-oil-will-soon-sell-for-50-per-barrel-kachikwu/ LordAdam: I am hopeful too. June 2016 OPEC general meeting might see a freeze deal come about. If it would get to $50 is not something I'm sure about, but it should exceed the $38 which the finance ministry pegged the 2016 budget on. Now the issue is how to address the huge N2.2t deficit and place proactive measures in place in case a freeze deal does not happen. One can not really be certain. Russia has already planned ahead. Saudi Arabia has already planned ahead with $700b in reserves. Qatar is the richest country in the world by GDP per capita (their population is only about 2 million people). Nigeria cannot afford to rest our hopes on the backs of countries that can afford to run their economies for the next 10 years on current oil price. Buhari should act now. We are already feeling the effect of his docility when he refused to appoint ministers for 5 months. If he hopes on a freeze deal and that falls through, the weight of the recession will overshadow him. -Lord Ofodirinwa: This man is an slowpoke. The price is low because the US has more oil than both Saudi and Russia and is no longer importing the way it used to. Soon they will even export adding to world over supply. The US is no longer interested in foreign oil. They can freeze whatever they want to freeze the price will keep dropping as they find oil in new places here in the US. http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSKCN0W20JHI hope kachikwu is aware |

lookandlaff: You can do the math, I am not talking about Otta, Obasanjo acquired Otta while he was a military head of state. The incident I am referring to happenned post 1999. boy forget talk no Yoruba man let alone former head of state would leave sw and north to look for huge land for agriculture in the se and whether obasanjo acquired otta as head of state is immaterial as far as the farm was gotten from stolen wealth the indigenes should endeavour to close the farm down now that he is out of power after as you said no be Una wan extradite kashamu? Look my friend I earlier in this thread cautioned someone that was talking aboh ubah becoming governor because i know that would be disastrous but if ubah wants to invest his money in his state I dont see hiw that is a problem after all it is his money.dont know what you mean putting him on a pedestal.pedestal to what exactly? |
Politics › Re: Ifeanyi Uba Games Village Nnewi Ongoing Construction Work (Photos) by asha80(m): 2:30pm On Feb 28, 2016 |
lookandlaff: because you people keep glorifying, looters, 419s, drug dealers etc. There are credible and respectable honest hardworking and successful Ibo buisness men, Innoson, Ibeto, Ekenne dili chukwu, Maduka, these should be your role models not dodgy uncouth characters like Ubah. If you put Ubah on a pedestal it just shows you value money more than character/integrity.
A SW state allocated a few thousand hectares to a yoruba ex head of state to establish a large farm. As part of the process you know that when govt allocates that sizeable land to you, you have to go and see the villagers. The ex-president was told in no uncertain terms by the villagers that his stolen money is not welcome there, in the end he had to go and seek land for his farm in one of the eastern states. A people must have honour and stand for something and not just bow down because someone is throwing money at you irrespective of his source of wealth. If you bow to anyone with money, people lose respect for you because it means you have no sense of right and wrong. See the effort to extradite Kashamu, be cause we know he is an embarrassment to us and doesn't represent our values. He himself knows though he is a senator he can't make noise. there are only two ex head of states that are Yoruba obasanjo and shonekan..shonekan's reign was not up to a yr and he is not a farmer leaving only obasanjo as the man that fits the bill you are describing. So is it the ota farms? Why hasn't the villagers chased obasanjo out of ota farms even after he has come down from leadership and the money used to set up that huge farm is obviously stolen wealth? Or is it a case of sophisticated stealing? He went to the east to seek land indeed and I wonder how that went under the raider |

Hope he stays strong because I know deep in my heart that this project will be abandoned very soon like Akwa Ibom Ibaka and Onitsha River port. We SS and SE still don't understand that the systematic marginalization of SS and SE. There is a reason why Calabar, Rivers and Warri ports are not functional...it's not by happenstance, it's a well calculated plan to ensure that SE and SS isn't economically independent as having a functional ports will ensure that. omonnakoda: Rational competition is very good but how rationa is this simple questions hopefully we can get some answers
What is he building How much will it cost Where is the money coming from Who are the contractors When will construction Finish
There should be that level of transparency When leaders start to lie to their people and they believe them there is problem. Our constitution is clear NO ONE can build a PORT without the FG (NPA) approval. I do not recall that information being in the public domain SO whatever he is building I very much doubt it is a Port the headline is wrong...from what I can see this is just construction of road leading to the site and not the actual construction of the port..i doubt that one has been started |
