Do you think Nigeria can make up the shortfall in a month? How long does it take for a palm tree to fruit? why the fuccck should we import palm oil when adapalm in ohaji as big as it is is lying largely fallow? That is what Goke7 is trying to tell you..we should use our brain and force these huge raw materials lying fallow to to feed these industries..how you wondered what if adapalm ohaji and abia palms were functioning at full capacity? |

Let me use the leather industry for example the shoes being made in aba are done with leather up to 70% china instead of Nigerian leather..why the fccuk do we have to import leather to make our shoe when hides and skins from cattle can be transformed to leather needed for making of these shoes? Instead the of transforming those cattles hides to leather it is burnt and turned to kpomo! We go die if we no chop kpomo? Kpomo self is not nutritious to start with. |

Caseless: do you have equal rainfall distribution in the south? What's the depth of rainfall(mm) in the south? Rainfall increases from south to north, I know. But don't lump everything together...even in the south, you have variations. This is what I want you to point out. rainfall in akwaibom, bayelsa, rivers, southern delta, cross river axis has the highest mm of annual rainfall followed by Imo,abia,Lagos, southern ondo and Edo then you get the anambra,Enugu, ebonyi, northern delta, northern ondo and Edo before you now get to sw in general....no northern state whether central, west or east has the same annual rainfall with anywhere in the east |

How is a govt sure it would even find a private firm to run a factory it built? Only in a situation an mou is entered by a private firm with govt(usually owning a small percentage equity while the private firm holds majority equity) can it work( if greed on the part of politicians in the govt on question would allow common sense prevail). |

CyberWolf: But I asked what are his policies towards industrializing the state? If he has any policy, he should make it public because I don't know and I think you don't know too. Asking how old Umahi is in govt is playing to the gallery becaus a serious leader who wants to lead must have prepared his or her policies before even nursing the ambition to contest. We won't wait until he is in the middle of his tenure before we start asking what his policies are... I seriously campainged for him during last election, I came from the same LGA with Edon who was his strong opponent but we made sure he won in our LGA but that doesn't mean I should start singing praises like a brainless sycophant at this beginning because of few road projects in the state capital... well Na you know but you see that aspect of govt building industries forget about it unless you can tell yourself where you have seen govt building industries and running it in Nigeria forget about outside the country self |

CyberWolf: then why do you keep blaming the Nigerian government for lack of industries? I don't know which law says government can't build industries? What are his policies towards industrializing the state? Nigerian govt is blamed for lack of industries simply because they failed to make policies and provide the desired infrastructure and security to attract both local and foreign business simple..how old is umahi in govt? How come umahi made sure all the obstructions foolish elechi put in front of ibeto from revitalizing nkalagu was removed by him?is not to make sure the industry come back to life and job created? How do you know if he has no policies for job generating companies or outfits to start up?is it supposed to happen overnight? Is that not why he is trying to put the infrastructure needed for it to happen? You as investor go like put your business where there is no road? I have already discussed this issue of govt building industries with you many times and I am not ready to go over why it hardly if ever works. |

If we are a serious State, Nigeria doesn't have reason to still importing rice by now... achi4u: Oga Erico, Eng Dave Umahi is not using any contractors rather he uses direct labour, there's nothing like warding any project to any contractors in Ebonyi state. If he says this road will be constructed or rehabilitate today or tomorrow as earlier as 8pm that work will start immediately. Ebonyi has been transformed before our very eyes, I'm only waiting for him to complete most of the heavy projects like flyovers, pedestrian crossing and many more before I will surprise the whole Nigerians. Please Ebonyians in this forum living in Ebonyi state should start taking pictures of the good works going on in the state. I dont think so guy because I read somewhere where umahi complained about slow pace of work on the nkalagu rd(road that leads to the cement factory) which is actually a federal rd..from the article he was rebuking a Chinese company..i dont think a Chinese company in ebonyi is direct labour |
