There's no Abia vs Imo, I'm just a vexed Imolite presently living in Abia State.
ok if you say so..what about the so called noise that absg has abandoned some of its projects in aba?

That's why I said u should ask the ruling party governor.

We in Abia State are happy Okezie's progress despite the economic crisis hitting this country presently. We're less concerned about the company, we just want a place to walk during rainy seasons.

Imo state would stone Rochas to kiss Okezie's feet
tell that to other abians also on this board who have been shouting up and down lately that works have been abandoned by the abia govt..secondly I am not sure of rochas reference here as it is not related to this thread..dont start any foolish Imo vs abia nonsense that does not exist

Ikotepene/opobo road is been reconstructed by abia state government, this is a strategic road as it links aba to various parts of awka ibom, rivers and crossrivrs.
The commuters in these states will also benefit from the project as majority of them come aba t purchase gods.

Kindly educate me on what each member in National Assembly are doing with their consistency allowance? most of them are collecting these allowances, and few of them can show for it! my consistuency is part of where Saraki claims to be representing, till date no single project carried out by him. how do you want me to believe that the issues has not been politicized?
you quoted the wrong person
LadyExcellency:
The NASS said no going back on those project as they are meant for rural dwellers.
Nigeria doesn't belong to urban or metropolitan cities alone.
lame defence.if you do not understand the importance of rail in upliftment of both urban and rural people then you know next to nothing about importance and impact of rail whether the stations are in rural or urban settings..i guess borehole and town halls that can be built by state, local and even town unions are what will uplift a rural area?fg should be involved in building those? What happened to constituency allowance of these senators? Please enough of the silly argument just because you oppose buhari
PoliticsRe: 2016 Budget Palaver: Presidency Gives Fresh Conditions For Assent by asha80(m): 11:18am On Apr 11, 2016
LadyExcellency:
There has been no time in the history of democracy where the Presidency substitutes the "representatives" of the people.

Allow the Lawmakers do their work, NASS is not all about Saraki and Dogara rather approximately 450 elected representatives of our people.

If you are concerned about their proposals and bills, talk to them, protest their resolutions, actions and inaction. The same NASS defeated the third term agenda, stood against some "perceived" obnoxious policies of Jonathan administration when APC had their way in the chambers.

The NASS is not as immoral as the Executive where Power lies on the decision of one man. With Buhari's formula of 5% and 97%, the need for constituency projects become imperative because the implementation and execution are coordinated by the Executive.
you are talking rubbish with your last paragraph..so boreholes and town halls are what is lacking or more important in your constituency right? It must really be backward

Government should stop all this nonsense. The should make our economic environment friendly to us by building infrastructure. Who do u think will manage the business if the man live office tomorrow?
divinehand2003:
Hmmm
Government should leave these things to private investors. They only know how to establish various ventures but cannot manage them.
Two of you should try and read..he flags it off does not mean it is the govt building it..it is being built by olam group

Be careful about your money in the Nigeria banks.

Banks liquidation may be around the corner.

There will be no signs. You go to the bank on friday and on monday you see locked gates manned by Mopols. Then it will be too late. That has always been their modus operandi.

Forewarned is forearmed.

Some group of people would be quick to tell how crude oil sells for peanuts and how we should fly with Bulllhari and be grateful to him for the amazing things he's being able to do with crude oil selling for 40$ a barrel.
But what they would refuse to tell you is that in 2008 all through the financial crisis of 2007-2010, oil prices were known to fluctuate way below the 40$ mark.
Amidst all these, petrol was sold at it's cheapest during those period. Inface Yaradua made sure that it was N65 across the country.
We never had fuel shortages. Civil servants were not being owed.
Amidst these, amidst all the global economic meltdown and marginal oil prices, Yaradua and GEJ were able to put $43.13 billion in our foriegn reserves.
As of today, oil sales for $40. What's left of our foreign reserves is being depleted everyday. An intelligiant government should have work out a way to make things work and not whine everyday and blame everyone else.
Jonathan might have being clueless but Bulllhari is a slowpoke.
Bia has your account being hacked? All these insult on buhari? When did you have a change in mindset in this govt and why?

Osha has surpassed Kano economically and is chasing Abuja closely according to recent reports (same with Aba)

What's left for Osha and Aba is livability. Parks, trees, museums, plazas, squares, cleaniness, beautification, sports clubs, bible clubs, pools, monuments, gardens and more TREES. Things that will make people want to live there outside of business. When you have these things, people invest on a larger scale. Without them they will only open depots or distribution centers. If it's a place someone wants to live they will put their corporate office there and that's will bring 10x the investment and capital as a depot.
any evidence of the first paragraph?

This man should stop wailing. After lagos and PH, AK and Delta, abia should come next on IGR generaition. The amount of taxes paid in abia state is way much. Abia has close to 7 booming markets all pay huge sums as levies everyday. KEKE and bus operators pay through their noses. Abians pay infrastructural levies for government to fix roads for them.

Federal allocation or not, abia state is rich!
apart from eke ohuru and ariaria which other market booms in abia?
