I got on very well with my mother in-law (God rest her soul ), we were really close, went shopping, parties, u name it, we got on so well that my brother in-law's wife stop talking to the pair of us, even though we got on though didn't mean we didn't have our little quarrels, i remember one time i told her not to interfer in a certain issue and she backed down.

I wouldn't at all, if i can i would do it if not we'll leave it till say maybe the next day, we've never had an argument because of such, it'll just be too petty, but i do understand what you're talking about though.

Not all women in the western world are like that, my husband cooks, clean, bath the kids, run errands etc. We both help each other out, he doesn't consider me doing everything on my own and does what hasn't been done, there are days i might not feel like cooking, he'll cook or we eat takeaway, i don't consider all this as his job and neither does he consider it as mine.

Didn't he know she lies before marrying her? He should try marriage relate/counseling but most of all he needs to sit her down and talk, he should explain to her about how her lies is ruining the marriage, he can't just give up on his marriage just like that, unless it's an excuse to move on to another woman.

Asitis, you have tried, but if you look at Nigeria rents as of today, you will notice they doesn't match that your calculation. Nigeria rents are too poor compare to cost of properties .I think tenants need to be educated that they need to pay more.

Yes Nigerians rents are poor but not in all area, that's why it's important to make lots of research before venturing into any investment especially property investment

As far as I'm concern, he just using you, he saying and doing everything you want to hear and see, why does he goes back to his wife at the end of the day, do you think he'll leave his family for you? Wake up girl and smell the coffee, stop all this i don't know what to do ooh!!! take control of your life and make a break, you could be heartbroken for a while but believe you'll get over it as the heart ache you'll feel will be much more when his wife finds out and he dumps you, that's will shatter you and also affect your self esteem, who is to say you're even the only one he's messing with, he lied to you once by not telling you he was married what make you think his feelings are genuine.

If she's got working permit then i wouldn't advice her to work for a Nigerian business, in most cases, the working conditions are always poor, many pay below minimum  wage, she'll better off working for the likes of McDonald KCF, burger King etc where she'll be treated with respect.

To be honest, this would depends on location and the amount the plot of land cost as these factors would determines the rental income, in some areas you could get your money back in as little as 6-7 years, such area as seen rents being tripled overnight (as in the case of lekki), and in some areas we could be talking 10-12 years or even more. Financing the the property would of course makes the time scale to get your money longer depending on the interest rate, hope this helps.

The quotation seems fine to me too, although you can still try and lower the price a little, try by renegotiating the labour fee, even N10,000 off it would be a bonus to you, also try and purchase the materials yourself if you can't do this then try and get at least 3 different quotations, i had my house roofed 2 years ago, although i used coloured aluminium, i myself went to make the purchase at one of the factories that manufactures it and i save about N300,000. Every little you can save helps and the saving could be used elsewhere.

For the life of me, I cannot understand. See how long it took to build a man's reputation and see how quickly it got tarnished. While this man is busy fighting everybody, Yahoo and Phammyus have redeemed themselves and doing business, babeisme is doing business and he is still stuck where he is running after everybody.

Seun banned him for a week, instead of him to use that as an opportunity for reflection, mend his ways, clean up his acts, come back and pick up his business where he left off, he decided to register new user names and fight everybody. So unrepentant! Why won't he just clean up his acts and continue with his business instead of sinking his own reputation day after day. I am yet to find anyone with such penchant for self-destruction. This man still has a chance to redeem his image and is refusing to take the opportunity. He will still be welcomed back by nairalanders. It is not too late but time is not on his side.

If you going to make a point make a point, i made my point and i stand by it, stop calling everyone inspired when they make their opinion known, don't know why some people like taking pain killers on behalf of people who didn't ask them, people are capable of making their own judgement you know.
