You are all a disgrace to NIGERIA, ZIK,AWO, etc.
THE DAY NIGERIANS START PROFESING GOOD ABOUT OUR COUNTRY AND START ABIDIDING TO THE LAWS JUST MAYBE NIJA WILL BE GOOD,
THERE IS JUST TOO MANY NEGATIVE ENERGY AMONGS NIGERIANS AND NIGERIA CHANGE.
HERE IN SOUTH AFRICA THE MTN 8 FINAL LIGHTS WENT OUT FOR 35min BUT NO ONE COMPLAINED CAUSE THEY BELEIVE IT WAS A TECHNICAL FAULT, BUT YOU ALL ARE JUST TO NEGATIVE>
To some extent I personally agree with you. Lights do go out sometimes even in the developed world. However, I dont think that the problem is with well meaning, loving but impoverished Nigerians, as you claimed! with their 'NEGATIVE ENERGY'. Transformation my good friend starts from the top and it comes out of proper planning and organisation. There is nothing like luck in it.
My good advice to you now is ' Could you please go and stand on a track of a speeding train, but before you do that, profess very very good that the train will not kill you and we see what happens. Dont forget to kiss your loved ones bye first before you do that.

There is nothing wrong in lights going off in a stadium during games because even in western world it do happen sometimes. My question is why should it take that long to restore it? That meant that there was no efficient backup plan in place. Maybe the organisers must have prayed and said, "God dey my brother it will never happen" a trademark of Nigerian mentality.

South Africa has the best schools and universities in Africa, already South Africa has the best infrastructure, economy and so on in all of Africa, but yet Nigeria is adding to there power they have in Africa. I don't understand why doesnt South Africa put back into Nigeria instead taking out of Nigeria and adding to there power.
Thank you very much my dear! May God keep giving you more and more wisdom. To be smart is in born. A great gift from the ALMIGHTY! Many have eyes but cannot see! Ears but cannot hear! Unfortunately, Nigeria is so unlucky to have good number of her population that cannot get it.

Oil is a very big blessing to Nigeria, but religion is a curse to any nation. Guyz dont mistake this with real faith in God. I mean RELIGION! This is when someone in power is wickedly subjecting the whole nation into suffering with all the resources we have and that same person still have the face to go to mosque or church or whatever thing they believe in, to pray to god. ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH! I HATE RELIGION, IT IS A CURSE TO NIGERIA NOT OIL!

THE GREATNESS AND GOODNESS OF A MAN/WOMAN IS NOT MEASURED BY HOW RICH OR EDUCATED YOU ARE, BUT BY YOUR ABILITY TO EFFECT A CHANGE TO SAVE LIVES.

When a stream is polluted, you dont start to purify it from the middle or down stream. You start from the source of that stream, dont you? SATAN CAN NEVER CAST OUT SATAN! Nigeria as a country needs a total clean up and purification. After that has been done we employ so many experienced psychiatrist to design tv commercials that will help to change the total mind set of every Nigerian. We have suffered so much and I think most of us are loosing touch with reality.

What Nigeria needs now is a new direction. At the moment, Nigeria is wobbling on all its axis. HELP SOMEONE PLEASE!

PoliticsRe: Electricity Problems At Nigerian Airport by asunaobi(m): 8:02am On Oct 23, 2009
I wept after watching the video clip. What a shame! Even common 'emergency lighting auto system' which can be set up using solar energy, we have the best climate to do that. Not to talk of 'auto standby generators'. These things can be done by Nigerians not foreigners. Infact many Nigerian electrical engineers do these things abroad and are paid peanut for it.

When I travelled back home last year I went to the power supply authority office or whatever they call themselves and it didnt take me time to find out that their boss whom I went to see lacked the technical knowledge to be where he was. I am not saying that he was an idiot, but just that he was'nt well trained technically to be occupying such a position.

To me personally, sustainable and consistent power generation, transmission and distribution is not a rocket science and should'nt be a problem to a country like Nigeria with good numbers of smart and clever engineers.

My heart bleeds for my motherland! SO SAD.

Aloy~Emeka:
What will taxing the church do for Nigeria?
If I have my way I will go far beyond taxing the churches. I will hand over churches to states and stop individuals or companies from owning churches. My reason being, so that when people like Aloy-Emeka go and pay their 10% tithe to God, the money will go to that state and will be used indirectly to build central sewage system, refuse recycling plant, construct and maintain roads, maintain security, train local manpower for on going maintenance of state projects etc. And my brother Aloy can then kneel down and pray to God and say! THANK YOU GOD FOR ANSWERING ALL MY PRAYERS, MY 10% TITHE IS REALLY WORKING.

The solution for Nigeria is for the churches to be taxed. Every garrage is now a church where people are being promised miracles from God. Its is all a lie. It is the biggest deception and greatest scam in Nigeria. The church!
Tax these churches and you'l see how they'l reduce.

People are being decieved into thinking they can pray and nigeria will be better. It is a lie.
The less churches we have and the less religious we are, the clearer people will think. If you reduce the churches, people will start to ask questions from their government and not from God. They will go to their local government charimans house to ask why they dont have NEPA instead of going to 5pm mass and 7pm prayer meeting. (You can pray in your house with your family you know).
They will stop praying that a messiah be sent down to erradicate corruption. The corruption they themselves are only too happy to encourage.

Prayer without action is nothing.

A good 75% of those churches are visited by the people in power and the pastors dont make the leaders responsible for their actions. And this only happens because everyone has been bribed into silence.
I am a great believer. I am a christian. But the churches in Nigeria are too many. Too many.

If the church joined in in the education of the masses, if the church encouraged the people to go out to the streets and talk until they are heard, if the churches would encourage its members to create a revolution of dialogue in their various fields of work, Nigeria will be better.
But with the way the church of today abuses its hold on the people by making them believe the more they put down for offering and the more they come to church, the more they shall be blessed . . . . . well then, Nigeria is in for it.

TRUE TALK.

Nigeria go ever move forward so?Instead of the youths on this board to take Achebe's message as a call to action dem dey blame Ribadu here n dere

2011 we all have to vote for a credible leader and protect our votes. We should start the campaign of " SAY NO TO PDP.
If we all come together to do the right thing we will positively push PDP out of power.Lets GET TO WORK.
Damn right! VERY BIG THANK YOU FOR THE PERSON WHO EVER THOUGHT OF IT BEFORE THE DEVELOPMENT OF THIS WEB SITE. NOW WELL CULTURED, DECENT AND VERY CRITICAL THINKING  NIGERIANS CAN COMMUNICATE AND SHARE IDEAS. TO ME,  THIS IS IT! THE BEGINNING OF THE CHANGE WE ARE ALL HOPING FOR.

To Chinua Achebe, thank you so much for your suggestion Sir, there are some element of truth in what you said but I dont think personally that that can work right now. Nigerian youths lack the cohesiveness in other to make that work. We have been totally disoriented by tribal sentiments and religious brain wash. What Ghana is enjoying today was not started by Ghanaian youths. It was done by one single good individual who saw the opportunity, took it, used it very well and laid the strong foundation upon which Ghana is building its strong economic house today. WELL DONE! Are u marrying to please people, show off or are u marrying for love and piece of mind? I have seen many tall handsome rich men marry ladies that are on wheel chairs and they are very proud of them. It is like changing your dark skin to look white or vice versa. Go for the real natural thing in life and damn what people think or say. Be real and every other thing will be put right. I have seen tall mum and dad ending up having short kids and I have also seen short mum and dad ending up having giants. Being short parents does not mean that you will have short kids. Please dont mistake this with dwarfism which to me is more of genetic thing.

Igboman by birth, but who cares! one Nigeria and united black race at heart, that I care so much. When I heard that my brother Idiagbon was dead I took  one day bereavement leave to honour him. I still remember very well when his presence taunted every Nigerian without him being around you. There was decency! people were scared to mess up even to urinate any how in the public places. He was not the president then but that showed all of us how the power of goodness can overshadow the power of evil. I MISS U SO MUCH BROTHER! AND MAY YOUR SOUL REST IN PEACE.
To the Kuti's family, another wasted human resources and great earning potentials for Nigeria. If I was Obasonjo, I hope I spelt his name correct, I could have developed fela to the extent that the whole world will be flocking to Nigeria to spend their money in other to attend fela shows. That was exactly the dreams fela had but those dreams were totally destroyed by our leaders just because of their selfish interests.
I think I have deviated from the topic being discussed, but my brothers and sister please forgive me. I am a very unhappy man. Since I came to live in western world I have being studying them and the way they run their countries. This country that I live in now, their annual bugdet is not up to the annual budget of any state in Nigeria but if you come here and see how everyone is being taken care of. You can see your mirror image on their roads when you drive and this country dont have any crude oil to produce tar for roads.

DO YOU GUYZ KNOW HOW I FEEL? I FEEL LIKE LINING UP ALL OUR LEADERS BOTH PAST AND PRESENT AND GIVING THEM 24 LASHES EVERY DAY! FELA STYLE.

America and other nations are talking of exploring the moon and mars, Nigeria is struggling to stop ritual killings on its soil. When people's brain fail to be developed through efficient and developed educational system which will be affordable and accesible to everyone what happens is that people start developing their brain negatively and that is why we have this kind of primitive nonsense called ritual killing.

Those critisizing the Nigerian police should compare the population of Nigeria with that of the Police and see the ratio.
Police are like us all, they have their parents and families to feed. Giving us information on where to avoid and the numbers to call has shown that they are ready to work, but with little man-power.

Kudos to the source of this Info, May your water never run dry.
I am not trying to insult you my brother, but I think your excuse is very weak. It sounds to me like in those days when we were growing up, if we involve in a fight and got beaten up, we always give excuses. I remember one day when I was well beaten up by another child whom I was far older than and my friends were laughing at me, My excuse was that because I missed to have my lunch.

Nigeria is extra wealthy both in natural and human resources, therefore there should be no excuse  at all for this level of insecurity and economic mess that all good loving Nigerians are subjected to.

What I dont understand again is, how can the police ask Nigerians to 'sms' them if you are a victim. I think Nigeria is truely heading on the opposite. A DEAD PERSON TO SMS? WONDERS SHALL NEVER END!

Oh! my dear brother if we dey talk and reason like this my heart go dey come down. No two ways about it Ghanains are more civilized than us. Did you see how humble all of them were. When one of their players was given a red card, he maintained his cool. Other players consoled him and he left immediately without utering a word. Most of the things they did to win this cup was more of their brain than mouth.

I have always prayed to God to forgive the sins of Africa and bring up at least one country in Africa to lead positively so that others can copy and follow. God is answering my prayers through the transformation He is doing in Ghana. WHO THE CAP FIT LET HIM/HER WEAR!

Sorry! I am not a man of sentiments. It doesnt really help. My greatest fear is exactly what have mentioned. If Iam sent packing today to go back to my country, my life will be finished because I dont have a country to return to. First of all, all that I have suffered for the past 10 years will go missing at arrival at murtala muhammed airport. The skills that I have acquired within this period will not be utilised to the fullest because of unavailability of amenities. That is just to mention a few. What about insecurity? My friend I want you to take away sentiments from this, to be honest with you we dont have a country to return to after living in a well organised environment.

I participated in a 10 km marathon about 3 years ago and to my utmost surprise the lady running very close to me was the prime minister of this great country with no security around her or siren and after we finished she came and shook me and asked me where I originally came from. I told her Nigeria and I broke down immediately. She understood where my emotion was coming from and asked me how I was settling in their free country.

Which leader can do this for you in Nigeria. In Nigeria I cant even talk to a local government chairman and somebody is telling me that I have a country I should be proud of. RUBBISH! JUST PIECE OF CRAP. THESE GUYS WE CALL OUR LEADERS DONT HAVE ENOUGH BRAIN CELLS TO THINK AND PROJECT, I CAN BET YOU ON THAT.

At least we can now ask ourselves who the real terrorists are. Are they our wicked leaders or our brothers from the respective oil producing areas who are fighting for justice? The same rogues since 1960 that Nigeria got its independence are still in Power. The same horses but different riders. Check this out guyz, I just want to deviate here a little bit. The current president in Kenya, Kibaki ,was in government during Obama's dad time and he was among those in government that frustrated Obama's dad because he was from a Luo minority tribe. Because of that, Obama's dad left for the USA and that was where he met Obama's mum and they had Obama. Today, after more than 40 years, Kibaki is still in power in Kenya and the son of the man he frustrated is the president of USA.

His comment to me is not an insult to Nigerians because he also included himself being a Nigerian. What he meant sounds to me like a wake up call telling all of us that soccer has gone nuclear. He was selected because he knew one major-general and that major-general has strong connection with the president. My fear now is that, I dont know if my dad will be able to keep up the pace with these young lads in the field, because they are just under 17 full of energy.

Oh! lest I forget, my heart felt sympathy goes out to those talented skillfull Nigerian soccer players who were ignored because of whom they are or their unknown status. That is why Nigeria, a country of over 150 million people could not produce a killer squad soccer team. No wonder our u20 team struggled against Tahiti of about 400,ooo people.
