Fabregas or Fabre-keresone will be a very good first name for your child. The middle name? oops! I got a very good one for your child, Nebuccadenazzar" I hope I spelt that correctly.

This is internet my friend, stop making Africans look stupid. Try to discover yourself first and be proud of the goodness you have.

@oge4real: It is not about size, nor is it about natural resources and money they could bring to a nation. It is about how you spend those resources and money, and how you comport (carry) yourself. Trust me, wasteful spending and thievery only retard a nation. A drunk giant is not a good sight to behold. Integrity and self-respect are worth more than wealth and geographical size.
You are just wasting your precious time trying to talk sense to fools. I tell you what, I have my full respect for Ghana and other well behaved African countries. I am a full blooded Nigerian but most of my people's behaviour both educated and non educated are very very disgusting. It is only in Nigeria that you can still see people boasting of how good their grammar is. I never knew that most of my people are these timid.

Do not waste your time any longer my friend arguing with them. Pride goes before a fall and I think Nigeria is seriously being caught up in its pride and ego.
Ghanaians are admired all over the world and nobody can take that away from you people. There is no way God can stop blessing Ghana as long as your leaders thinks for the common man and woman on the street. GOD BLESS GHANA!

Nigerians deserve it. When a king behaves like a slave. He will be treated like one. Ghanains love their country and are working hard in honesty to develop it.Most Nigerians are destroyers and very self centered, they deserve to be kept under serious checks 24/7. GO GHANA GO!

Good on you GJ! Thats the way to survive in our real world. Our decision must be respected. Charity they say begins at home. There is problem in our home and we must put it right first. We are no push around, and dont want to go to world cup just to make up the number. We want to go to world cup as one of most competitive side to win the cup.

so Jonathan don become coach, abi? Can you articulate to us how these move will improve the Super Eagles?
Which move has ever worked since 1960 of Nigerian independence? It is  Cameroon and Senegal that has made it to
quarter final in Africa and now Ghana enroute to semi final. Where has Nigeria gotten to? Why cant there be a change?

What Jonathan has done may not be the solution but within me I feel that is the best way to go, if carried out properly and thoroughly. Remember, Nigeria is the most populous black nation in the whole world and do you think that we have any reason for not producing the best soccer players to conquer the world of soccer?

Take a look at the brazilian team that have won the cup many times, most of their players are blacks. I dont think that those blacks are different from Nigerian blacks.

Good job Jonathan and thank you for saving Nigerians another two years of embarrasment. WELLDONE! Take your time, kick any ass that need to be kicked, dump all those tired legs and give our young talented boys a chance to swhowcase their skills and make us proud.

That is exactly the way to go, because it gets worst before it gets better. If this step was not taken, Nigerians will still see the likes of Kanu Nwankwo playing in Cup of nations and shameless NFF leaders still hanging around.

I just pray and hope now that Jonathan does the real right thing by letting who the cap fits to wear it irespective of your family status or tribe.

Forgive me the way I write and please do not take it too personal. I am very very frustrated, Yes! you got it right but hang on there, who wont be? Why should our leaders allow many Nigerians to deteoriate into this kind of psychiatric mess that you are in? You feel that you dine with God everytime and therefore have the right to curse people when ever they say their opinion on an issue?

I loved your wish for a happy suffering which to me is like putting a crown on my head. Let me tell you my friend, life is not easy. There is no human being on earth that is not going through one kind of suffering or the other, but for it to be a happy suffering is a big bonus, so thank you for that.

But, I still insist that you must change! I know it is not your fault, it is the system that your are born into. That not withstanding, it is still your God given right to look for ways to liberate yourself mentally and start thinking right.

Christianity EtcRe: Prayers And The Nigerian National Team by asunaobi(m): 1:03am On Jun 30, 2010
One thing is to pray, another thing is the will of of God to be done. Nigerian's dont pray, they command God to grant their own will to be done instead of God's will.

Here goes Nigerian prayers: In the name of God we are going to win Brazil and break all their legs even if we walk around the pitch like lazy idiots with no brain in Jesus name, Amen!

In the name of God I am going to win this forth coming election so that I subject Nigerians to more poverty by stealing as much money as I can and bank the money abroad and moreso whenever I die may they never have a trace of the money because I prefer foreign countries to have good life than Nigerians in Jesus name, Amen!

In the name of God, I want to make millions in a short time even though I am not doing anything for income because I want to buy and drive two or more prados at the same time. I know Lord that our roads are very bad and there are a lot of hungry people around me but it doesnt matter Lord. I just want that to happen very quick in Jesus name, Amen!

If you live in Nigeria and you dont pray this way, people will see you as a negative person. The pastors in Nigeria always encourage people to claim it from God. Excuse me, claim what? God does not owe me anything, I owe God.

The favour of God is won by being humble  and pure respect for all that He Has made. We as human beings all over the world has been given everything by God to live a very sustainable life unless if people choose otherwise. Nigerians should stop wasting their time praying over what God has given them already instead of using very well to the best of their ability what God has given them.

In short, we should be praying to praise God to glorify Him for His majesty.

Since Jonathan took over, have you heard of fuel scarcity?? Have you seen queues in gas stations??Have you bought fuel above 65 Naira since Jonathan took overhuh In less than three months of his presidency Nigeria is finally on track.

My diesel consumption has gone down by over 70% since Jonathan took over. PHCN has improved dramatically.

Nigeria is back to serious reckoning on the international stage. Our respect is growing tremendously since Jonathan's take over.

His achievements are too many in this short period abeg. For me, the simple fact that he is taking steps to privatise electricity generation is enough for me to sing the guys praises.
Thats right! I think Nigerians should be patient with Jonathan. He seems to be on the right track. Though, if it was me I will start by cleaning up Nigeria the Rawlings way from 1960 till date. Our image abroad is now slightly aligned towards positive than before and there has been improvement in the availability of fuel.

He is still very new in the office and expecting a quick turn around from him in a country that is so rotten with idiots will be very unjustified.

Lets wait and see if he will be turning a new page or still be reading the same old page like his predecessors.

Tell them please if at all they can reason. It is almost becoming impossible to tell the difference between educated, non - educated and mentality sick people in Nigeria, they all think and reason the same.

I still cant figure out why Nigeria as a country have chosen to be decaying and smiling at the same time. These days no single good news comes out of that country. All we read about is religious riot, kidnapping, super eagles beaten by papua new Guinea or ethiopia. Ministers or governors stealing millions and escaping to Dubai or London.

I feel really hurt when I read about some Nigerians saying that all is still ok with that country. They piss off!
SportsRe: Sani Kaita Apologizes by asunaobi(m): 5:11am On Jun 19, 2010
Who is the real offender? The first person that hit you once and stopped , or the second person that fought back after that? At the level of Kaita he was suppose to know that. It is always better to be safe than to say sorry. Many Nigerians have to be properly taught how to behave when they leave that yeye country and travel abroad.

Maybe, Kaita thought he could start a religious riot in South Africa and before he knew it his eyes saw red. How on earth could a right thinking person, knowing the importance of that game and as luck may have it the eagles where a goal up, behave in such a timid way.

If the greek player hit the ball on you, why didnt you take advantage of that! fall down and colapse. The red card could have gone to him not you.

The Greeks out smarted us and that has always been the case. They played exactly according to the technical advice given to them, If they prove to be too strong to beat, just reduce their number by making one player angry and their self pride and boastfulness will finish them off.

haronky7:
IBB gave a lecture sad sad? As much as I respect the man as one of our leaders, it still seems Nigerians have lost all sense of decency.

In my humble opinion, what I think he should be giving is a detailed account of how it seemed corruption was legalised during his regime, how there was unprecedented brain drain in Nigeria, and how dignified people who held on to their sound principle were smeared; and again how many students got extra years in University because of recurrent closures due to harmless student demonstrations. This was a man that refused to show up in a lagos High Court, asking the courts to come to Abuja; a common man would be arrested for contempt of law if he tried that. If he lived as if above the law when in and out of power, how can he preach Federalism to us. During his time there was a global downgrading of Nigerian education and degrees abroad. All these look very distant from true Federalism to me. And not to mention some people's 'disappearances'.

I know he is stinkingly rich and comfortable in his Minna mansion, but he should be telling us in details how he got the money and how much tax he paid to the coffers. Even if President Obama runs fowl of ordinary tax in America where true Federalism is practiced, he will be outrightly quizzed or even jailed. What amazes me is his apparent contentment with the state of things with the 50year old Nigeria! Nigeria at 50 still looks very cachectic and unhealthy, almost a laughing stock to the international community, and only holding up by people's prayers. Where is the vision for this country?

Why is it that Nigerians cant hold their leaders accountable but often prefer to stoop low and be hero worshippers? That is why this country remains as it is. If we want lectures on near-perfect true Federalism, in my opinion, I think we should ask for the American politicians to come give us lectures. And for how many years was he in power that he couldn't use the advantage of Military machinery to implement true Federalism, which entails the right of the Niger deltans over their God-given resources? Now before you say anything, I am not from Niger Delta. As a child, I remembered we had groundnut pyramids, and were leading producers of cotton, rubber, cocoa, palm kernel, to name a few but what has happened for the worse for Nigeria is that every politician and leader is bent on stuffing to overflowing their Babariga's pocket with this oil money. Wait till the oil dries up!

If anything, IBB is on to something, possibly a comeback to limelight directly or indirectly through a stouge. I can bet my breakfast on this. I know there are hero worshippers and sycophants out there who will beg to differ, and all I will say is that God will deliver Nigeria out of the hands of usurpers, and that Nigeria one day will cease to be a shameful waster of brains and resources, and cease to be a place where dignity, honesty and hardwork is disregarded.
This is exactly what I respect in people. You are just in a very high class of reasoning and decency. My whole body was covered with goose pimples as I read through your post. Good post, good thinking, good foresight.

Why is everything in Nigeria foreign? it seems the leaders believe there is nothing good that can come out of this country.Yaradua for instance who spent month in saudi hospitals without tangible result could have easily been treated in U.I teaching hospital. Why on earth can we not develop our own army tactics.Countries like germany and russia who once had a great military did not hire any foreign trainer.Who told our government that we didn't have inherent military tactics, for instance the old oyo empire managed their army without any foreign support, let's investigate the military tactics used by old powers of nigeria like the oyo empire, kanuri kingdom e.t.c and incorporate it into our army training. If for instance there is souring of relationship between nigeria and the countries we receive training from, did nigeria dare confront them. The nigeria civil war lasted for very long time because our military are based on foreign training which was not easily applicable to such a situation. One of this days we will have to hire foreign president or governor!!

Many people here think Nigeria is a very good country compared to Somalia and Yemen. Yet, in our own eyes many people in Nigeria are suffering and scavenging from waste to get their daily bread.

In Nigeria, some people are suffering hunger and some cannot afford to even go to school. Those who think these people arrested are mad should think again.

This is the evidence that Nigeria is a country where our supposed leaders have turn against us. Our leaders send their own children abroad for studies and fail to develop our local schools. There are no decent medical care in Nigeria and our leaders go abroad for their own medical treatment. Who suffers?

Ordinary people cannot afford basic accommodation in Nigeria, yet our leaders have mansions everywhere in the whole world. Who suffers?

The evidence of financial mismanagement is everywhere from banks to political position. Who suffers?

Of course, the poor people in the grassroot are suffering terribly. If you see the people arrested, you will find that they are the poor and forgotten people of Nigeria.

Shame, shame and shame on our leaders.
I wish all of us in that country should think and reason like you. You are just very lucky, being one of those that are blessed with pure and natural intelligence.

I dont think that anyone will have problems understanding you because of the way you write as well. Simplicity is the key word and I tell you, with people like you in Nigeria, the future of that nation still looks bright. WELLDONE!

Until these militants learn to use their brains to think, they and all those that support their actions blindly (including those here on NL) will remain FOOLS.

Is it the defenseless pipelines they keep blowing up that are responsible for the problems of the Niger-Delta?
or
Is it the corrupt Nigerian Govt (which includes the Niger-Delta leaders)?

Isn't it high time these militants and 'so called' freedom fighters face the REAL ENEMY?

The Oil companies tap the wealth of the region (which the Nigerian state cannot tap) and the corrupt Nigerian Govt which is controlled by a Northern cabal) takes the proceeds and shares it amongst its officials. Next thing we hear is "Our gallant Fighters/Warlords have carried out a strategic attack on an oil pipeline belonging to Shell," how dumb? What is strategic about the strike?

With the recent political brouhaha caused by Yaradua's absence, the North has made a clear unequivocal statement that the "south south is only good at producing Oil and should not think of smelling the presidency (even when constitutionally, the south south should be president)." What is the reaction of the Militants/Nigerdelta saviors/freedom fighters to this insult? they go and blow up shell pipeline.

Isn't it high it high time they wake up from their slumber?

I liken the Niger Delta case to the case of a farmer who has yams in his barn but is incapable of cooking them. A shrewd neighbour comes and offers to cook the yams on the condition that he gets some and an agreement is reached on how the cooked yams are to be shared. A major point in the agreement is that the Landlord of the Farmer would also receive a share JUST because he is the Landlord.

When the yams get ready, the Landlord greedily collects his share and the share of the farmer and feasts on them with his friends in the full glare of the farmer while the farmer goes hungry. Whenever the farmer tries to complain, he is being molested and asked to shut-up for being too greedy. This arrangement has continued for years but now the farmer has decided to fight back. He acquires sophisticated arms and begins to fight the neighbour who cooks the yams. In the process, he destroys most of the yams and also, hurts the neighbour. The rationale behind his strategy is that "IF THE NEIGHBOUR DOESN'T COOK THE YAMS, THE LANDLORD WOULDN'T HAVE ANY TO STEAL."
Transformation my friend starts from the top! The wickedness and dumbness of our leaders are very hurting to all Nigerians. It will be better if crude is not pumped out of the ground in the first place than for it to be pumped out and the money from it ends up in private accounts.

Tell me who is behaving like a normal human being in Nigeria? Is it our president,  governors, ministers? Even here on NL, many of us  insult ourselves, our parents and relatives when one says the truth.

A lot of Nigerians suffer from poverty of the mind.  That is why any little improvement in their lives drive them so crazy and they start looking down on other people and tend to be arrogant and uncaring.

The most surprising thing would be that these quack doctors and nurses may be members of one church or the other, but when it comes to practical exhibition of what they have read in the Bible they  start interpreting the Bible backwards.

A friend of mine just lost his lovely healthy mum under the watching eyes of our so called doctors and nurses for a simple infection that could have been treated by a first year nursing student in the developed world.
