PoliticsRe: AGRIFEST 2015: Jonathan Okays N26 Billion For 2015 Dry Season Farming (Photos) by asunaobi(m): 11:08pm On Jan 23, 2015
This GEJ is the best President since the history of Nigeria. I just admire him, a very intelligent, slowly and careful transformer. No doubt about it that most of his critics are lazy, short sighted people who just want to wake up and see themselves living in mansions and driving best cars with beautiful women on the front seat.

CHANGE and TRANSFORMATION takes time, perseverance, patience, hard work, careful planning, detailed organisation and most of it all a good minded leader ( who loves his country from the heart ). CHANGE can never come by having a PHD, being a Professor or whatever ego honor one may acquire through education. To me all those sounds like grammar to me, after all they say ' LEADERS ARE BORN AND NOT MADE '.

i miss Idiagbon! MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE! He was the best Vice President of Nigeria. I remember quite vividly well when he was in power with BUHARI as head of state. Most Nigerians then thought that Idiagbon was the head of state, because his actions and high disciplinary measures were felt everywhere even in people's bedrooms and government offices. You would never then see people urinate in the public for the fear of being caught by Idiagbon. i have no dislike over BUHARI, he seems to be a good man but Idiagbon made him looked like just a ceremonial Head of State.

Unfortunately, the same people who do not want Nigeria to develop and modernize, that same people that stopped Idiagbon's transformation of Nigeria are now out again fighting to stop GEJ transformation of Nigeria. Murtala Mohammed did the same thing to develop and modernize Nigeria and guess what? we all know the story - wasn't he assassinated?

Every time our railways, Airports, Schools, roads and other amenities are slowly coming back to life, those same people will start fighting back to power to come and set Nigeria backwards again.

I think enough should be enough! Nigeria needs to be moving forward no matter the pace at which we are moving but in the positive direction.

I urge all well meaning Nigerians irrespective of your tribe or race to vote very carefully and wisely in this coming election.

MAY GOD/ALLAH BLESS THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA! IT IS OUR ONLY HOME! GREAT LOVING PEOPLE! GREAT MINDS! GREAT INTELLIGENCE!

Science/TechnologyRe: Wind Turbine Construction With Pics by asunaobi(m): 9:48am On Jun 27, 2012
Hi sadiq! Good job...highly impressed with your logical thinking. Do you know that you can actually drive the same alternator we use in cars to charge our car batteries with the wind turbine you are building? I don't know but I think this may be the easiest way to go.
The car alternator generates 3phase AC voltages when the engine is running. The 3 phase ac is then rectified to Dc voltage. The dc voltage is then used to charge the car battery. There is a control ( contacts) to stop the overcharging of the battery...pls see an auto electrician for this.

The real wind turbine technology is a little bit complex because of the variations in the wind speed, because you would wan't your generated AC voltage to be kept at a constant frequency eg 50 HZ. I hope this helps? Let me know if further assistance is needed.
CrimeRe: The Confession Of The Notorious Ex Armed Robber, Shina Rambo (With Pic) by asunaobi(m): 9:06am On Sep 20, 2011
Gosh! This man nearly killed me. I recall one saturday morning in Isolo, I was driving, suddenly the car in front of me stopped. Traffic in all directions was stopped and in front of us was this man with a very powerful gun with rings of bullet around him.

He was stopping and collecting all beautiful cars with his boys, thank God I was driving one ugly passat, and they were pumping bullets all over the place. The driver of the car in front of me was hit and people were running and shouting Rambo! Rambo! Rambo!.

I was frozen in my car and I remember not been able to move my car after they left because my left foot was too shaking and unstable to hold the clutch.

Well, God will forgive him for all that he did but will not take away the consequences of all the things that he did.

BusinessRe: Why Do Most Nigerian Youths Shy Away From Farming? by asunaobi(m): 6:56am On Jan 08, 2011
loadsk:
I think I represent the average nigerian youth @ 32. I am into Fish farming which operate at the back or my room, I know many more of my age group that are also into this.

I consider myself and those I am referring to above. Lucky because we are all blessed with parents that have properties and believe in us. Consider fish farming for example, you will need a space not to talk of a piece of land, good water supply(bore-hole), and capital. Now who do you consider are the youths and are they empowered either by their parents(education, funds, moral support etc) or government(Education, funds, conducive environment for business etc).

From my little experience in the fish farming business, I strongly believe that one single LGA can feed Lagosian fish for years with proper planning through the youth being employed.

But our Government have not focus and vision for youth development even the football we all know, its through individual efforts not government.

Its a pity. But no matter what God bless Nigeria.
My full respect for you. What else can a dad ask for in a child. Almighty God will bless all your effort and believe it! in million million folds. Keep working hard and dont loose focus. Hardwork pays but let all that you have achieved be in your mind not in your head. Remain blessed!

Bawo is okay. He was shot 6 times point blank by gangsters in downtown chicago.

He's currently recording a rap album about it.

This 2010 his pepper must rest. So no time for nairaland.

PoliticsRe: Drama As Man Attacks Obasanjo At Lagos Airport by asunaobi(m): 4:48am On Nov 09, 2010
ode remo:
those celebrating obj achievements should ans. One question, y is the country still in shambles!?
Its simple the man left a legacy of questionable democrazy where average nigerian still bel.his/her votes still dont count.
If in 8 yrs he stole all nigeria moni but left a sound political syst. Where politicians become servants rather than lords , i personally would not mind.
But what do we have, 3rd term agenda, yar ar dua, mrs ayoka in ekiti, gbenga lord daniel of ogun, etc. How long to get it right?
And someone here talking of gsm, wwhic is most important universal adult surfrage or gsm.
Thats right! Thats to show all of us how timid many Nigerians are. What is gsm for christ sake? I have seen many Nigerians boasting of little things that are suppose to be necessities.

Look at the state of our beautiful blessed country Nigeria and can anyone tell me why any of past leaders (looters) take praises if not punches. Some months ago, australian prime minister got bashed with rotten egg. During Bush's visit to Iraq, shoe was thrown at him.

Why should the guy who attacked obasanjo be evil and obansanjo himself a saint. Nigerians should learn how to stand up for their rights and say enough of these mediocre short sighted leaders.

If Nigeria, a country blessed with intellectuals and enormous resources cannot have a good life and condusive environment matched with those of the western world, then something is not right somewhere. And I dont think that that common man on the street stressing to make a point is to be blamed.

PoliticsRe: Obasanjo Is Pdp’s Biggest Mistake- Atiku by asunaobi(m): 1:07am On Oct 16, 2010
What is the difference between 'dele' and 'delegiwa'? Both Obj and Atiku have been in power and have failed woefully to solve Nigeria's problems. I dont think that Nigerian leaders really understand the meaning of shame.

I relate this type of attack to 'two kidnappers fighting to share the ransome money paid to them.' REAL PEOPLE CAN BE FOOLED FOR SOMETIME, NOT ALL THE TIME!

PoliticsRe: Things About Nigeria That Make You Cringe! by asunaobi(m): 1:16pm On Sep 22, 2010
1. Thinking that we know ( by laying more emphasis on how we speak and interpret english language), why in the real sense we know nothing.

2. The inability of Nigeria of over 150 million people to produce a transformational world class leader.

3. The same group of crooks who were leaders when I was running around naked as a child are still clustering around to rule Nigeria again.

I read this thread with pain in my heart and tears in my eyes. At this stage and in this era, we are still battling with which tribe. It is a pity. Am not here to support anybody but to share some reasoning. Which tribe is Obama in US - minority or Majority. I know we are way way behind to start squaring shoulders with US. Shall we continue to wallow in ignorant while the world around us is leaving us behind at a very fast pace. Did we remember that when the north supported and packaged OBJ, he had challenges with acceptance by his own people. This very man and Chief Gani said he is not to be trusted. This was what lead Gani into registering a party.
Like somebody said, it is amazing that those who have access to information on-line that are supposed to be fronting for a better Nigeria through great leadership are still neck did in tribal, ethnic, religious and other myopic reasoning. It is a pity that even the younger generation do not care about what happens to this great nation of ours.
When I join Nairaland, I thought I had found a place where realistic ideas will be shared, knowledgable people with information will be discussing based on current happening round the world compared to where we are.
So much wrong has been done in this nation. Let us for once put all this discrimination aside and support the leader (no matter where he's from) that will move us forward. We are tired of NO POWER, NO GOOD ROADS, NO JOBS FOR THE TEAMING YOUTH, NO HEALTH FOR THE COMMON MAN, NO WATER FOR THE COMMON MAN, COLLAPSING EDUCATIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE, CONSTANT INCREASE IN PRICE OF PETROL, JUMBO PACKAGED FOR LEGISLATOR BUT PEANUTS FOR WORKING MASSES. HIGH RATE OF CRIME AND ETC ETC ETC ETC
Please! Please! Please! I fully understand what you are saying. Your input is totally waste of time. Most of them are not clever enough to understand that unity is far more powerful than nuclear weapon.

I think there are a lot of fools in Nigeria than anywhere esle in the whole world.
