MacDaddy01: lol...some are just hrt because their sky-daddy's abilities are being debunkedI wouldn't go that far but it would be safer for them if they didn't risk their faith by looking too closely at such things. |
[quote author=E_monkey]That doesn't make sense. If they believe we worship the same God then they have to also believe that Muhammed is a prophet of God abecause he promoted the worship of that God.[/quo Not necessarily, it is possible to both believe in the same god but believe different things about the same god. Even Christian beliefs differ between denomination. There are some things that are standard across all branches of Christianity. This is known as a canonical belief. There also standardised beliefs across the Abrahamic faiths. These mostly relate to Noah, and pre Noah. |
MacDaddy01: What is wrong with you? This arrogance will get you nowhere fast! They didn't even try to discuss my paradoxes mentioned related to omnipotency. |
I belive that when people die, they are dead. There is no afterlife, no spirits, no reincsrnation, heaven, hell or other afterlife residence. We should make the most of our lives because when we aredead, we are dead. |
E_monkey: ^For your information, some of your fellow Christians do not regard Jesus as the son of God. Does that mean they are worshipping a different God from yours? Most Christians already know this (I assume). The real question they have is whther or not The prophet Muhammad is a true prophet of God. I belive the answer is no according to Christianity. |
Delafruita: no proof.but i have witnessed confessions of a witch who admitted such and many other stuffConfessions alone are not enough... Afterall if someone confessed to being Christ reborn would you believe them. We need solid proof. |
styca: I read some where that all religion leads to the same God, well i"m wondering what's the mindset of people both Christians and Muslims when the pray do they have the same idea of God or do they think Him to be different? No. Not all religions have the same god. The god you refer to is the God of Abraham. This the God worshipped by Jews, Christians and Muslims. That is why these faiths are referred tocas the Abrahamic faiths. |
jookco: There is nothing in the World like our Lord Jesus Christ, but I have a problem trying to figure out how God tell prophets and Pastors to buy Private Jet worth of 25 million dollars for themselves in a country like Nigeria where some members of the Church lives with less than one dollar a day, but another question I ask my self each time this question bugs my mind is " can a prophet or pastor of that high respected level lie?" , but I know that Jesus Christ humbled himself and because of his humility God gave him a name high than every other name, and when the founder of the Church is dying God also ask them to hand it over to their wife of son or daughter , I mean can all this be true?, people receive intimidating teaching that prevents them from asking common questions like this, people feel maybe thunder will just strike them down if dare speak negative of the prophet or pastor but nevertheless we need to the know the truth. All people must be judged by their actions. If it looks wrong, it is wrong. A man of God is no better than a sinner if he himself commits such atrocities. Look up the pope and the crusades to understand the dangers of not holding people accountable for their actions. |
Mr_Anony: Wrong. Immediately you say that something is "more omnipotent" than another, then you have created a limit for one of the deities therefore one of the deities is not omnipotent. Something that is limitless is simply limitless. It is absurd to say that something is a limited limitless entityWe have two types of limitless systems. A) A limitless system which is a limited system that has limits beyond our capability to define. This makes it limitless until we define its limits B) A truly limitless system whereby there is truly no limit. This is better expressed in the ideology of an omnipotent deity. A truly limitless sytem can NEVER exist because the act of no limits creates paradoxes to prove that a limit must exist. The paradoxes themselves are technically the ultimate limits of the system. Take for instance God as omnipotent, the limits to God's omnipotency are as thus: 1. God can create anything but God cannot create a being greater than himself 2. God cannot create and indestructible object but God can destroy evrrything. God cannot destroy an object He created to be indestructible to himself ensuring a paradox. Either He cannot create it or He cannot destroy it. 3. God cannot destroy Himself. As some of the examples show, there are already limits on the limitless. This is all theoretical of course :-) |
MacDaddy01: I see.Because that is how we learn. A system with no known limits can still be worked with and understood. A whole branch of maths has been developed to work with limitless sytems and draw up rules on how to define the limitless. I think it is known ss the infinity series. It involves working with infinity. In regards to religion, if i was to time travel to ad 00, I might be considered a deity based on my technological advancement. Who knows where we will be in another 2000 years? |
MacDaddy01: Omnipotence can hardly have limits given its definition. However, I agree with you.If we said omnipotence was limitless due to the fact that we could not measure or ascertain the limits then we could draw conclusions. Say for instance the omnipotence is i, we could say deity a with an omnipotency of i is greater than another deity b with an omnipotency of y by an amount known as x: This is of course not true omnipotency however one could argue that if it is beyond our measuring or comprehension it is omnipotent. |
MacDaddy01: To all the non-sequiturs put forward by Anony and SweetnectaParadoxes are specifically science and msths based phenomena. They can be applied anywhere. The real paradox is assuming the omnipotence to be limitless. If there were limits to the omnipotence then we could compare certain aspects and avoid paradoxes. These paradoxes exist throughout religion. The idea of a god in itself is a paradox. |
This is standard with most races, cultures, tribes etc. The way most tribes in Nigeria discriminate against other tribes hints a xenophobic tendency amomgst them. |
PeeDaVinci: both otedola and farouk shold be locked up.All your main points highligt the fact that the subsidy report is a farcical document with as much credibility as the authors. It would be better if a new, independent report was done by an auditor like KPMG and the results made public prior to investigation. But that will never happen. |
inereunwa1: @op dragstock is scam on the first of feb. 2012 i ordered a laptop $100 LR from them they didnt ship the laptop, and i contacted their customer care they didn't reply me uptil now. So stay clear its a SCAM be warned!!What was the laptop spec? |
justdream: HOW COULD IT CAUSE SOO MUCH DAMAGE TO WINDOWS AND NO DEATH TOLL? ANYBODY YOU KNOW AROUND THERE?I am currently staying nearby. No casualties. |
Yes, i heard a blast too. Apparently it was near the Bannex plaza. |
Fortissimo: Heard Bannex Plaza, Wuse 2. Not sure if that's the same place. It is outside Banex. I can hear loads of sirens. Apparently the car blew in the middle of the road. Casualty list might be low. |
I heard it was a supermarket called "park and shop" |
I heard something too. It sounded like a bomb blast. |
No engineering?? They should invest in engineering courses. |
Spirit of Okija: I feel you (No homo)..My thoughts exactly. However KPMG did an audit a year back. The report was quickly shelved by the powers that be. It highlighted all this fraud and more. The problem is once the report is done it will be passed on to the Federal Govt, most likely Diezani. Then we will never get to hear about it. |
Ileke-IdI:I knew you wouldnt . Dont worry, the video will soon be out ![]() |
This was in the probe rwport by Farouk Lawan. He mentioned the fraud, refused to mention or indict the companies (they are roughly 6 to 7 companies who are part of IPMAn and MOMAN). He also stopped short of asking the companies to refund the money. The total amount collected on subsidy for kerosene wss roughly 300 billion. So what did he do? He recommended the same companies now be the only importers of PMS etc. And people wonder why the country has problems. Hoe can you reward thieves while blaming innocent companies. This kerosene situation was clear evidence that Farouk was bribed to leave companies names out of his report. |
Ileke-IdI: |
Where is the bill in its entirety. Until i see it in its entirety i wont draw any conclusions. These soundbites are to deceive by throwing bits of info at us. I bet we never get to see the full bill in its entirety. ![]() |
Ileke-IdI: He took the money, removed Zenon from the list. The so called officials he handed it to are denying he gave it to them. Logic would dictate that he was lying. The reports coming out are that some major companies were excluded from his report but are now being exposed as being major players in this fraud. How come he never higlighted them in his so called report? kPMG did an audit a year ago, where the hell is that? What was in it? Have you read the subsidy probe report by the House of Rep in its entirety? We need to be patient and smart in following this. A lot is about to be unearthed. |
Ileke-IdI:Farouk has agreed to taking the money so what are you talking about? Open your eyes. This is a much greater scandal. |
If Otedola had not recorded Farouk Lawan, would most people know what went down in the PSF scheme and NNPC in general? How many companies would have escaped after bribing? How many innocent companies would have been made to carry the blame for everything? the real culprits would have escaped (Diezani, Ibikunle, Reginald Stanley). We need to open our eyes more to things, investigate further, understand what goes on in the industry. There is no rush to get results. We need to get the right results. In the UK, the hacking scandal took 4 years to come to light. In that time the scope of the hacking and involvement has been exposed for all to see. |
tessyade: This is not bad o but someone has to buy,use and testify of its efficiency before i can think of buying. Like they say 'once bitten twice shy.'Once bitten? Which tablet bit you ![]() |
musKeeto: Still need a convincing reason to get a tab.. my galaxy s2 does everything almost perfectly....Bigger screen? ![]() |
bayooooooo: What really happened to 2011 subsidy funds? I am just wondering why not 2009 or 2010?A lot of the 2011 figures were for previous years. They owed some marketers as far back as 2009 and still have not paid. Right now the 2012 expenditure has been back payments to marketers owed. Add interest and of course other costs and you will see that the figure will be much higher than initially predicted. If they do a probe next year they will ignore all of that and claim that all that money was paid to the marketers in "shubshidy scam". Did anyone notice that a lot of companies have still not been paid? If they are still awaiting payment then how come the report claims that they all need to refund the money? |
. Dont worry, the video will soon be out
