Never in Nigerian judicial history (or any authentic democracy for that matter) has the SC ruled against ALL lower courts AND the election authority itself in order to immediately replace a sitting governor with a 4th-place finisher - all based on clearly questionable, uncollaborated, and unauthenticated documents supplied solely by the 4th-place finisher himself!!
Supreme Court cases set precedents that lawyers will cite ad infinitum. Here’s the precedent set here:
A person that comes 10th can easily be declared winner and immediately replace the incumbent. All they’d have to do is present result sheets which the Supreme Court MUST accept no matter how outrageous and defective they may be, as long as no one can produce the originals!
Consider the Uzodinma documents they relied on to replace an 8-month incumbent governor with a FOURTH place finisher: not only were they full of ridiculous numbers, they were also incomplete, smudgy, full of alterations, signed only by APC, and showed results for only APC and PDP out of 70 parties! (BTW PDP recently WON the rerun held in the same Hope’s “stronghold” where he got 99.9% of the votes with 100+% voter turnouts!)

Facts have emerged that the Supreme Court failed to do a thorough mathematical computation of the results of the election but relied only on the wrong computations submitted by Sen. Hope Uzodinma to declare him the duly-elected governor of Imo State...
Both the EPT and the Appeal Court dismissed the petition for lacking in merit.
By relying on the faulty tabulation made by Sen. Uzodinma, the Supreme Court arrived at a figure of 950,952 total votes cast at the election, which is more than the total votes cast at the election totalling 823,743.
This gave rise to 127,209 excess votes at the election as affirmed by the Supreme Court, which all through avoided mentioning figures regarding the votes cast for the disputants or the total registered voters and valid and invalid votes in the judgment. ——————-

On figure number 69 which shows votes cast at Eziama/Okpala (Umualum Village Square, Eziama) total number of registered voters =492, whereas the APC scored 819 votes and PDP scored 7 votes, meaning 334 more votes than registered voters!
On page 22 of the record, at the polling unit 285 (Obudi/Aro, Central Assembly Square, registered voters = 449 APC polled 780 votes PDP polled four votes, leaving a total of 335 votes higher than the actual number of registered voters.
Also on page 22 of the petition, polling unit 282 number of registered voters = 591, APC polled 586 votes PDP nine votes, indicating a total of four votes higher than the registered number of voters.
Figures from page 79 of the record of appeal show: Registered voters = 526 APC got 526 votes, while PDP was credited with two votes, indicating two votes higher than the total number of registered voters in the area.”

Supreme Court said APC won. What kind of species are imo people. They "massively" voted for APC in Guber election, but voted other parties in House of Assembly elections that took place same day.
They are standing down a decision on Ararume's case - meaning delaying a decision on his case. That does not apply to Uzodinma's own appeal. A decision is yet to be made on that. I must however tell you guys that there will be a new election ordered by the Supreme Court in Imo at the end of the day.

Staro: The Northern Youths Council of Nigeria on Thursday kicked against the formation of ‘Operation Amotekun’ in the Southwest geopolitical zone of the country.
According to the NYCN, the security outfit inaugurated in Ibadan on Thursday is the “military wing” of the Oodua Peoples Congress.
It added that the newly established security outfit is in the league of the proscribed Independent Peoples of Biafra.
National President of NYCN, Alhaji Isah Abubakar, in a statement issued in Kaduna, urged the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), not to allow what he described as “unconstitutionality” to prevail.
Abubakar said, “Amotekun Group in Southwest is OPC Military wing in disguise and in the same league with the proscribed IPOB. The President must not allow this unconstitutionality to prevail.
“The Southwest Governors must desist from backing nefarious groups such as this one.
“Amotekun is a threat to peace and national security and an attempt to jeorpadize Nigeria’s sovereignty.
“Amotekun is no different from Boko Haram and IPOB Movement in their formative stages.
“Nigerian Police, DSS and Army shouldn’t take this lightly with the governors of Southwest.
“The National Security Adviser should promptly take steps that will avert the looming threat to our national security that is about to be threatened by Southwest governors, OPC and others,” Abubakar said.

A friend of mine, Wale Fapohunda, who was in court today when Sowore's re-arrest was purportedly effected inside the courtroom has this to say about the incident:
"Okay, so I was in court today and here is what happened.
The court had adjourned his matter till 11th Feb next year.
The court called the next matter and proceeding had commenced in respect of the next matter.
Sowore stepped OUT OF THE COURT ROOM and suddenly we heard noises coming from the corridor "leave me alone" "they want to kill me" "they want to kill Sowore" and all that.
Suddenly Sowore's people started dragging him with the DSS and they (Sowores team) dragged him into the court room.
The judge seeing this, rose and went to her chambers.
The DSS didn't enter the court room to arrest him rather his supporters dragged him in with the DSS official.
Nobody chased the judge out, she rose and went to her chambers on seeing squabbles.
The DSS official left the court room and waited for him outside the court.

It appears everyone in that drama was part of the drama club. They harassed a Court officer who wanted them out as they were disrupting another court case. A Lawyer who looked bemused with the whole drama was lost for words.
Drama has not helped Dino Melaye. It has not helped Olise Metuh. Drama has not helped Orji Uzo Kalu.
Drama will not help Sowore because Once you dramatise a lie to the members of the public to attract sympathy, you lose all of that sympathy when they find out you have misled them.
I'm also of the opinion that the police look into these videos, (I have watched four) and charge those who deliberately misled the general public on this issue.
