Had_one: So as you can see, the names include both Christians and Muslims. I have been saying it long ago that our major problem in this country is not religious but only bad eggs among us. If you insist that what is happening in the Northern part of the country is not religious, then why is such not happening here in the south. Let's not cover the truth, its pure religious fight. |
Politics / Achebe On Awolowo: Has He Gone Too Far? by atuagbo: 7:14pm On Oct 06, 2012 |
Renowned writer Chinua Achebe is not a man that runs away from controversy. In recent memory, his rejection of the national honours bestowed on him by Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan’s administrations became subject of national debate. He is in the eyes of the storm, again. His long awaited war memoirs ‘ There was a Country’ , became public last week and, as expected, Achebe is getting the hits for accusing the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo of genocide in the book. 1 Like |

Education / Protested Over Alleged Sexual Harassment Of Female Students by atuagbo: 11:18am On Sep 16, 2012 |
STUDENTS of Cross River University of Technology, CRUTECH, protested over alleged sexual harassment of female students, molestation and extortion by some staff of the institution. The students, numbering about 2, 000, blocked traffic at Eleven-Eleven Bus Stop on their way to the Government House, Calabar to register their grievance. Some of the placards carried by the students had inscriptions such as, ‘Sexual harassment of female students’, Female molestation’, ‘Extortion of money from students’, ‘No better CRUTECH, No better Cross River’, ‘CRUTECH, no better lecture hall’. CRUTECH Students Union president, Mr Ekong Eka, accused the state government of neglecting students of the university, adding that, two months ago, some groups of people came to the school to tell them that government wanted to pay them bursary. |
Politics / Re: Soldiers Open Fire To Disperse Jos Protesters by atuagbo: 8:24am On Sep 15, 2012 |
gp66: muslim dnt need to protest. If they think their religion is sacred and God accepted, they should hold back and make pple believe that they are for peace. They shud learn from Christains. No Christian will protest if u mock God. We Christains believe that Vengeance is of God, so why taking laws into their hands(muslim). I think the quoran is hiding the truth from its fellows. @ this juncture, i will appeal to all muslims to come and test Christainity and their lives will neva remain thesame. God bless Nigeria.. MUHAMMED really hide d truth 4rm his muslim followers. D so called allah is nt d Almighty God but an idol. Muslim pple r mumu, doesn't know their right 4rm left. Embrace Christ who is d Way, D truth and d Life. |

lucio2012: so sad, so pathetic, so embarrassing, so humiliating, Israel of all places where Jesus Christ was born king of the Jews......well my only words go to our Nigerian leaders ( LGA chairmen, house of rep members, senators and the presidency) u and ur families will find no peace and u shall all die miserable deaths until u return/ reconstruct our country back to a good state and stop been greedy and taking all dat is meant for everybody. IdiotsTrue talk, Our so called Leaders are the problem of dis country. There are greedy and selfish, they care only about theirselves and family. They want to spend N42b to print N5000 notes. That is enough 2 give us road, water and light. But they don't care what the masses are going through. May God have mercy on dis nation. 1 Like |
