unseen men ! wink wink
Errrrmm, Songs good, but lets not get carried away my guy. They've done a couple of tracks together which worked well, but FAR SICKER, i don't think so.

Anyway, your opinion i guess

I've said it before and i'll say it again, YOU GUYS ARE TOO EASILY IMPRESSED. It's like you started to listen to hip hop 2 years ago. Dig in the crates and hear what real diss records sound like. These guys are just sucking each other off.
Listen to game 400 bars or Cannibus 2nd round knock out or even Nas Ether.

There are so many guys on MI's privates on this site it's unreal. No wonder he thinks he's the messiah. I hope you all swallow when he C****

Iceberg has cleverly used his beef with MI to boost his brand. That's what this is really about.

interesting track. Not exactly my thing, but might grow on me. "No try me" is still my favourite track from the guy. Like i said before, ikuku need to get there act in gear and enter naija. They have the talent to compete.
Music/RadioRe: Jangolova (play Play Video) by audio: 2:00pm On Aug 13, 2009
lol, Frijos. The hardest working publicist on Nairaland. Along with your alter egos finishim and heavysomethin.

If you truely love vector, tell him to go and find his own style. Nobody likes a clone. He can definitely rap, but if i want Jay-Z, i'll buy Jay-Z. Matter of fact, he has a new album coming out soon.

Putting 20 posts a day on Nairaland, is not going to do it. Believe me
Music/RadioRe: 2Face exploring the idea of legal actions... (links 2 pics with mary j) by audio: 1:56pm On Aug 13, 2009
lol, the music business is big in Nigeria. You can't believe what you read on these blogs and forums anymore.

There are companies in Nigeria that are paid to spread stuff virally. Anything you like. True or Untrue. Just pay them and it's done. If you choose to be the mugu that laps everything up, that's your choice. But don't complain afterwards when you repeat it in public and everyone laughs at you.
Music/RadioRe: List Ur Top 5 Naija Rap Mc's Here by audio: 1:51pm On Aug 13, 2009
1. K16 (well documented. The future.)
2. Nateo C (Still the biggest out of Naija as far as i'm concerned)
3. M.I. (Don't really believe the hype, but appreciate the hustle)
4. Mode 9 (Lyrically sound, but needs better management and less yes men)
5. RuggedMan/Eldee (Brought hip-hop to the mainstream)

PoliticsRe: Adeboye Floats Millionaires’ Club by audio: 4:42pm On Aug 11, 2009
As a Christian, i find stories like this very upsetting. In Nigeria, The Church is a business like any other. A brand to be exploited. Pastor Adeboye, like Idahosa (who set the template) has obviously found the winning formula. Good luck to him. He is obviously not a man of God. Anyone who calls himself a dedicated servant, but is still worried about worldly possessions (ie Private Jets) when people are starving all over Nigeria is as far as I'm concerned a false prophet.

Anyway, everyone shall be judged independently when the time comes, so we go see how far

Music/RadioRe: 2face Booed Off The Stage For Performing His Old Songs In Abuja by audio: 8:12pm On Jun 22, 2009

In the News | Wed, 17 Jun 2009

Nigeria's one time top music artiste, 2face, was reportedly booed off stage at a show in Abuja.
His career has taken a turn for the worst and he is in trouble career wise!
with the recent influx of new artists like djinee, shakar el swagga ,terry g, k-solo, the mohits crew , saucekid ,mi, modenine and a host of other artistes who work hard daily to release new materials (some even free online and in blogs and forums) and stay relevant, old artists who live on past glory will either work harder or leave the stage for new bloods. grin
Shakar El Swagga being compared to 2face, man this one don pass joke. This Payola thing is getting out of control.

With the exception of maybe D'Banj's entertainer,  2 face's album is the best thing out there currently. Of course, that's if you're into real music and not the 80% garbage that's currently in circulation.

Blinx, you're 150% spot on. Nigerian's have no idea what individuality means. Nobody wants to go against the grain. They'll buy his album and be secretly playing it, while they blast him in public.

Like all new markets (think dotcom in the 90's) the wheat will eventually be removed from the chaff and the real musicians will begin to emerge. Steel, take note.

dat ur gay m8 k16 is still as redundant as ever.
d day that guy hits top 10 on any naija list.
ill leave NL
always after d gay side of things.
Listen, i set up this thread to talk about Mode9, why are you dragging K16 into this. Do you even have anything to say about the topic?

For your info, K16's track is on the NotjustOk Top Ten select download compilation along with all your other favourite (non gay, must specify in your case) artists.

So please, leave NL as promised.

lalaboi:
lol. . . .but seriously. . . .Sauron cant be magnum. . . .

Audio and RapJ. . . .sumn happened a while back b4 u guyz arrived i think. . . . on a modenine thread and dejirayo said sauron was magnum.  .thats where the whole thing emanated from. . . . . You guyz need to start roaming the rap battles section more,  . .  .if sauron can do what he does on the rap battles section and do it good, Then he is not magnum. . .you can compare the raps for yaself. . .  wink
So basically what you're saying, is that Sauron's rhymes in the battle section are too good for him to be Magnum. Na wah oh, I feel like standing up for Magnum now, i mean, i've heard a couple of his records, he's bad, but it's not like he'll make you want to puke or something.

And if he's not Magnum, why is he asking you to close the thread, is he so ashamed of himself. Were trying to help him and he's rejecting us.

Magnum/Sauron there's still time to salvage your career, just go back to the studio and focus. Don't give up, it can still happen
Music/RadioRe: Does Anybody Still Remember Magnum? by audio: 12:36pm On Jun 19, 2009
~Sauron~:
U actually think everyone is like your father who sells firewood for a living. grin
Instead of you to go buy your parents pap and palm-oil with the wages u make, u are busy wasting it in a cyber-cafe.
If your parents die of starvation, you are in trouble. . . . . .Their ghosts would torment u. grin

@ Rapjunkie,

Are u this gullible?
Magnum, it seems you showed promise early on in your career and you have at least one person who doesn't hate you on this thread. Why don't you go back to the studio and answer your haters with a track.

Leaving comments like "F*** Magnum" don't help matters. Do you want to f*** yourself?

Have some fucking confidence man, you weren't that bad.

NDT's made up of Ca$hino, DBlack & SD . . . Dream Team?? Better called Dim Team . . . plus how can AY be a waste?? Casino Ca$hino and Maggot Magnum are two of the wackest things I've ever heard in Music.
How can a 'reasonable' rapper spit these wack lyrics:

Apon bepo re omoele, eyin fun jowoooooooo omoele
Agunleyin juu ele, Oooooooooooo

Sexy I like ya thickness, would u be my royal sweetness? Let me push it, please don’t push it out, I'm so curious ma what u all about
Yeepa  wo bo se judi, omo yin dun bi goody goody, ya big hip giving me goose pimples, ya dimple so cute and simple
Ohhh baby I'm so turned on, by ya body dimension, the way you bounce it with great timing, make me wanna slip and slide in
Ehh Ele makama, do your thing pretty mama, so soft like a sweet potato, shake it like omo Soweto

Music/RadioRe: 2face Loses N40 Million •shuts Down Hypertek by audio: 2:09pm On Jun 18, 2009
Liked his album, but too classy for naija. They want repetitive recycled crap, not real music. Can't comment on the distribution, cause i don't know the scene. Whats the source of the story? or did someone just make it up as usual
