Tosinaded, the New Frijos, now there's 2 of them, lol. I guess Vector's got a new fan |
tosinaded@:Co-sign, except the watery lines bit, didn't hear that. I'll re-listen |
Not exactly sure what to do with this, but thanks i gues |
kay-m:Errrrmm, Songs good, but lets not get carried away my guy. They've done a couple of tracks together which worked well, but FAR SICKER, i don't think so. Anyway, your opinion i guess |
anyway, Mr Lala, if you're able to sort it out, have a good show. Have to bounce |
See now, Naija, i have 3 people with me and e don pafuka |
So who's playing now then? |
Lalaboi, this one i'm listening today. Play Swagga on Lock K16 |
to put it politely, THIS IS A WASTE OF RESOURCES |
I've said it before and i'll say it again, YOU GUYS ARE TOO EASILY IMPRESSED. It's like you started to listen to hip hop 2 years ago. Dig in the crates and hear what real diss records sound like. These guys are just sucking each other off. Listen to game 400 bars or Cannibus 2nd round knock out or even Nas Ether. There are so many guys on MI's privates on this site it's unreal. No wonder he thinks he's the messiah. I hope you all swallow when he C**** Iceberg has cleverly used his beef with MI to boost his brand. That's what this is really about. |
interesting track. Not exactly my thing, but might grow on me. "No try me" is still my favourite track from the guy. Like i said before, ikuku need to get there act in gear and enter naija. They have the talent to compete. |
lol, Frijos. The hardest working publicist on Nairaland. Along with your alter egos finishim and heavysomethin. If you truely love vector, tell him to go and find his own style. Nobody likes a clone. He can definitely rap, but if i want Jay-Z, i'll buy Jay-Z. Matter of fact, he has a new album coming out soon. Putting 20 posts a day on Nairaland, is not going to do it. Believe me |
lol, the music business is big in Nigeria. You can't believe what you read on these blogs and forums anymore. There are companies in Nigeria that are paid to spread stuff virally. Anything you like. True or Untrue. Just pay them and it's done. If you choose to be the mugu that laps everything up, that's your choice. But don't complain afterwards when you repeat it in public and everyone laughs at you. |
1. K16 (well documented. The future.) 2. Nateo C (Still the biggest out of Naija as far as i'm concerned) 3. M.I. (Don't really believe the hype, but appreciate the hustle) 4. Mode 9 (Lyrically sound, but needs better management and less yes men) 5. RuggedMan/Eldee (Brought hip-hop to the mainstream) |
At topic: Nigga was high when he wrote that. He probably doesn't know what it means himself |
As a Christian, i find stories like this very upsetting. In Nigeria, The Church is a business like any other. A brand to be exploited. Pastor Adeboye, like Idahosa (who set the template) has obviously found the winning formula. Good luck to him. He is obviously not a man of God. Anyone who calls himself a dedicated servant, but is still worried about worldly possessions (ie Private Jets) when people are starving all over Nigeria is as far as I'm concerned a false prophet. Anyway, everyone shall be judged independently when the time comes, so we go see how far |
tboy1:Honestly, how can you say this video is crap. Are you confused because there's no club scene or all the usual Clarence Peters camera angles. Video is solid |
kay-m:Shakar El Swagga being compared to 2face, man this one don pass joke. This Payola thing is getting out of control. With the exception of maybe D'Banj's entertainer, 2 face's album is the best thing out there currently. Of course, that's if you're into real music and not the 80% garbage that's currently in circulation. Blinx, you're 150% spot on. Nigerian's have no idea what individuality means. Nobody wants to go against the grain. They'll buy his album and be secretly playing it, while they blast him in public. Like all new markets (think dotcom in the 90's) the wheat will eventually be removed from the chaff and the real musicians will begin to emerge. Steel, take note. |
osasp:Listen, i set up this thread to talk about Mode9, why are you dragging K16 into this. Do you even have anything to say about the topic? For your info, K16's track is on the NotjustOk Top Ten select download compilation along with all your other favourite (non gay, must specify in your case) artists. So please, leave NL as promised. check it out for yourself: http://www.notjustok.com/2009/06/18/notjustok-select-10-may-09/ |
MrCrackles:I agree, F*** Magnum aka Sauron, He's shit anyway. |
lalaboi:So basically what you're saying, is that Sauron's rhymes in the battle section are too good for him to be Magnum. Na wah oh, I feel like standing up for Magnum now, i mean, i've heard a couple of his records, he's bad, but it's not like he'll make you want to puke or something. And if he's not Magnum, why is he asking you to close the thread, is he so ashamed of himself. Were trying to help him and he's rejecting us. Magnum/Sauron there's still time to salvage your career, just go back to the studio and focus. Don't give up, it can still happen |
~Sauron~:Magnum, it seems you showed promise early on in your career and you have at least one person who doesn't hate you on this thread. Why don't you go back to the studio and answer your haters with a track. Leaving comments like "F*** Magnum" don't help matters. Do you want to f*** yourself? Have some fucking confidence man, you weren't that bad. |
ibkaye: Ibkaye, Nice one. Can't remember which movie this is from, but i love that babe almost as much as you.ofokasibe:Which 2nd song, do you mean the Remix? |
khanye:Sauron, if you're magnum just say, you're not really a fat shit. He was just joking |
ofokasibe:Omo why now, help out your sister, Free her |
Bamsyle:LOL, Bamstyle, stop it oh! I'm dying with laughter here. I saw that one where he said: you bring the ass/i bring the handcuffs, bawoshife or something like that. @ Sauron, what was your inspiration for your verse in that song? |
ibkaye:LOL, women. Oh yeah, back to topic, i thought this beat worked actually, bit more clubby, works well on repeat listens. |
~Sauron~:I saw your video on Nigeezie, are you working on an album at the moment? |
ibkaye:don't panic, just kidding. What's iraq saying |
ibkaye:Ibkaye, you know i love you right. You're too fine. I'm kinda obsessed now. You're not even my type normally, i'm so confused, ![]() |
Bamsyle:Ah, bamstyle, you're wicked oh! |
Liked his album, but too classy for naija. They want repetitive recycled crap, not real music. Can't comment on the distribution, cause i don't know the scene. Whats the source of the story? or did someone just make it up as usual |
