Problem is, police is not immigration but the problem is immigration looks at police records to issue citizenship. Plus naturalization certificate of citizenship comes from immigration court/judge. That may hinder him becoming a citizen at the end of the day but most likely won’t be deported unless they perceive him to be further menace to the society. That may sound a lot but like others mention despite with that sum you may need a second job to be able to save up otherwise bro you wil just be surviving. Taxes is about 30-33% of 90k, then home mortgage is about 3k monthly. Car insurance and feeding join bro u will barely save 25k at the end of the year with a single job. Pls trust me you better off making such sum in Nigeria.

I’m no relationship expert but this is my opinion. If a relationship starts with lie or deceit , that relationship may crumble in no distant time. I will suggest you confront him but when u do, make a distinction between your heart & brain. I bet he had his reasons which might not go well with u later. I think if a man hid his age, his intention was to get your attention and perhaps down with u as well. So what next after that? Age is something partners will always find out so why not save d stress by simply telling the truth in the first place. Hi Uche, try and be swift about this pls... The longer you wait telling them the more burden it will be on you and on them. Do yourself and your parent favor by telling ASAP. I had similar experience bro 2007, exact 100L. But that doesn't mean you didn't do well. Actually, my 100L CGPA was above 4.0, but the rule at that time was, never get a D grade in any sciences. Some students had straight C with few B or A with less than 3.5CGPA and they scale through but I had like 6 or 7A, I think 1B no C but got a D but got kicked out of Mbbs. I summoned the courage to let them know and today I am glad I am still a practitioner in US.

I had a job myself with Lagos State Govt in 2012, and I had a slight opportunity to travel to the US in 2015, I grabbed it and here am I in NY. It was rough in the beginning, but hey I'm glad I did. I am like a moving train Godswilling. I became an EMT, and PCT making 22$&23.50 per hour both jobs respectively. In that I tried go back to school because I had a prior degree in Nigeria. I went in a fast track nursing degree and I am a recent RN-Grad. Bro I had a job waiting in one of the hospitals for 46$ per hour, working 12hr shift just needed 3day work to make fulltime hours and many more overtime if I chose to. I declined that job, and I am 2wks into a supervisory post in a Rehab ctr making 52$ per hr-8hr shift. My main job is with NYC H+H Hospital working as a floor nurse. I am poised to become a practitioner in few years and hopefully God help me. Look bro, July 31st coming will make my 5th Year in NY. Looking at what I've achieved its only God and I doubt I would have been able to do the same with Lagos state govt. I look forward to join the Airforce as a reservist officer RN just to serve 1wkend every month. Bro plz Canada is well way better than Nigeria and I'll implore you to not dull yourself up PLEASE.

The virus is real and remain dangerous! I am a healthcare worker in NYC Hospital and I just lost a fellow Nigerian colleague that died from Covid-19. He was a very strong body built Man but this virus tackle different people in different manner irrespective of whatever is been displayed in the news. While there might be some conflicting stories, government or inter-agency coverup here and there, we all should practice basic health guidelines such as washing hands frequently, avoid facial touching, using mask in gatherings if possible etc. As well, I've fellow workers who tested positive and recovered from it- so that's good news, we waiting outcome of some who tested positive and being in isolation, others have family members who have died from it as well.
It is my prayer that we all shall see the end of this pandemic.

EmpreFidel, all I plead for is, do whatever you have in your power to not have SS child because of the severe pain SS kids undergo. Remember I stated my both parent are SS and never had SS child. The research for sickle cell disease is not very common cos this is black man's disease. But I'm aware there are technology which correct genetic makeup but again check your pocket strength....

If my memory serves me right, biology states that SS genotype doesn't come in successions. That is If the first is SS the next can't be SS.

Don't know if I am 100% correct with this but science has made life a whole lot easier.

I haven't posted on this platform for quite a long time and I hope this serve as a piece of suggestion to the fellow who seek advice. First, my intro. I am a physiologist from Nigeria, EMT in New York, and almost done with RN school in New York. With this said, I think I have a little knowledge regarding such topic. My both parent are AS, have 5 siblings and luckily none turned out to SS. My parent defied Genetic laws. It is very volatile to pro ceed with AS unless you have several millions aside for medical emergencies.
I think you both need to look beyond love and tackle this issue with utmost sensitivity so that no child is born to suffer. Few months ago, at my job in NY we had a terrible situation despite the financial stability of my colleague parent, and the medical prowess of medical team here in Staten Island NY. My deceased colleague was SS, he gets attacks every now and then but this very sad one he couldn't make it. He was in early 20s, I'll post a heart touching photo of him and I hope you reconsider your decision. If you decide to go ahead, pls monitor your child from embryo and pls don't allow this baby to be born as SS. You won't be happy seeing SS child go through anguish. RIP TIM
