PoliticsRe: Lagos, Johannesburg, Rated Africa’s Most Popular Destinations by AustineE1: 9:16pm On Jun 15, 2013
Eko Ile: I don't even know where to start. Capital or no capital, it means nothing without credible leadership, without vision and policies to move the place forward as we post on NL everyday. Capital did not come up with all the major changes and infrastructures completed and ongoing in lagos state , leadership did. A capital with a bad and clueless with no vision or sense of duty means nothing it such wont show up in articles like the one we are discussing here.

The fact that you compared the smallest state in Nigeria with little money with real countries and national budgets means you either don't know what you are talking about, you are dishonest or it's just the same generic NL bad bele... either way, you made zero sense.

What is Kaula lampur to Jburg? What is Luanda to Jburg? Jburg is way better than those places and Lagos is still standing on the same scale with Jburg so that was a redudant, absurd and uneducated and mindless.

The fact that Lagos state in your own country beat many major capitals in Africa means a lot and should to every Nigerian. Lagos is still part of your country and you really should be happy for your country instead of killing yourself with bad bele...

There's got to be a better portion in life for you people than this silly and petty bad bele nonsense....
Durban as mentioned in my last post was an over-sight,i ve since corrected it,but i didnt remember mentioning Luanda in my previous post!however, you are trying very much to sound reasonable and patriotic but i wld imagine if a place like Akwa-ibom,Onitsha or say Kano was mentioned as one of the cities to watch-out,i can imagine the venom you wld spew!you know what,in this forum your name stinks with tribal odour!'you ve descended into moral abyss'apology to Abati.
PoliticsRe: Lagos, Johannesburg, Rated Africa’s Most Popular Destinations by AustineE1:
I cant believe some doofus are celebrating this side comment by one 'Ventures Africa',Nigeria with a population of more than 150million people,it is quite natural that its economic capital shld even attract more visitors than even Dubai!i guess Lagos,if nt for gross neglect and grave corruptn from its governors both past and present,it should be competing with Kuala Lumpur,Bombai,Dubai,Bangkok etc!...i think People shld be disturbed by recent statistics that named lagos as one of the worst places to live on earth,we Nigerians knows that life,is at its lowest ebb in Lagos!many of its youths are either unemployed or unemployeable,Lagos is one big junk yard, human development is zero!i see some Nigeria cities doing better than Lagos in this regard wit no media hype!

Its football for Nigerian and for all Nigerians to support them this is just my view no offence please.
..thank you for your observation!but dont get him wrong,he is only trying to tell the large igbo community in Houston and of course other Nigerians to give super eagles their relentless support!
PoliticsRe: Security: Delta Bans Entry Of Herdsmen by AustineE1: 7:39am On May 14, 2013
omonuan: We need not celebrate this convenient ban. There are less restrictive way of controlling the menacing Fulani. Outright ban is an extreme measure. Should we allow this trend to continue, some states may ban Igbo traders for being potentially too exploitative or for the possibility of selling "fake drugs." The Ijaws could be banned from entering some states because they introduced kidnapping in Nigeria. There is no limit to the mischief and abuse that xenophobic states could use against people they don't like. This is a dangerous and slippery slope. I am sure there are many more law abiding Fulani that do business than the criminal elements in Delta. Furthermore, the SSG is not a law maker, there is no law on the books that says Fulani herdsmen should not enter Delta and there shouldn't be such law.

A less restrictive way could be registration and or licensing or a form of identification would suffice. As it is now, there is no rational basis for the hysteria against Fulani "herdsmen." No law abiding Nigerian should have his rights infringed or abridged because of irrational fear that some of his people are criminals. There are criminals in every tribe. Moreover, there is no scintilla of evidence that the armed robbers were "Fulani herdsmen" and not ordinary criminals of Fulani extraction.

This ban is pyrrhic because there is no way to enforce it. How do you keep track of "new Fulani herdsmen?" Does Delta state know who comes into the state? The state does not even have a database of natives much less non indigenes.
...i didnt want to respond to your comment but i think we must take a holistic look at it,agreed Nigeria is a free and secular nation were freedom of movement and association is garanteed!talking about xenophobia,we all know that in our recent past some states e.g Lagos state deported some Nigerians to their various states for constituting nuisances to the state and i guess, that wasn't discriminately because it was by an opposition party state....then we ve also had states who woke up one morning and declared sharia in a country assumed to be secular!by this action, states like Zamfara made islam a state religion, state money were used to build mosque, sponsor muslim clerics, create the state Hibah(security)board and financed with state money,in a supposedly secular nation. As a christian from the south or elsewhere,i can no longer freely drink my beer,or a lady freely putting on her smart trousers to work etc..i think this is more xenophobic than the ban on new cattlemen entering delta state, where the molest, kill and plunder!i also wldnt want to talk about the Mullah that runs our apex bank, who went ahead to introduce islamic banking in a secular nation inspite of opposition from Nigerian christians!Delta state has the absolute right to protect life and properties of it citizens in the state.
PoliticsRe: Northern Population Is A Fraud - Asari Dokubo by AustineE1: 11:26am On May 11, 2013
...i keep wondering what this fraud called Nigeria is all about!During employments and admission into higher institutions, you are asked your state of origin and then catchment area becomes a factor. Then in this same country during census, you are nt allowed to state your state of origin and religion,so that you are assumed to be from the state were you reside. This to me,is the biggest fraud of all time....thesame census figures will then be used to make projections by federal govt during allocation of certain social amenities and other facilities to the state, which i was fraudulently counted in and which i may nt have the same right as the indigenes!...i guess the igbos shld be the largest in Nigeria, going by their mobility level!

PoliticsRe: Police Killing In Nasarawa: Gov. Al-makura May Be Indicted By Security Report by AustineE1: 11:43am On May 10, 2013
...what else can one expect from Al-Makura the progeny of Buhari!for the sake of religion, many of our Northern brothers now prefer Nigeriens,Tchadians,Malians etc to fellow Nigerians,it is a matter of fact that, over the years the core North(Hausa-Fulanis)use these foriegners as mercenaries in Bauchi(Tafawa-Belawa region),Plateau,Southern Kaduna,Benue,Taraba,Nasarawa,Adamawa et al for selfish reasons of displacing the minorities and lay claims to their fertile lands and equally use them to put up more population during elections!...isnt it obvious that the heart of boko-haram lies with those foriegners and they are now becoming a serious problem to their Hausa-Fulani host!it is also on record that some members of House and some other officials are nt Nigerians,so the care-free attitude towards Nigeria.

PoliticsRe: Ombatse Traditionalists: Police Killed Our Members So We Killed 95 Of Them by AustineE1: 6:19am On May 10, 2013
wazobia_for_u: Most people in Nasarawa condemn the move of the mobile police men because those people are not just commuting nuisance on the state, they are the one closer ro the fulanis and the fulanis always have a fight with them, why would the gov want ro go and clear their shrine foe no good reason, it was army that was first deployed to the place and all the army slept like a new born baby while those traditionalist seize their guns , they are not terrorist so why can't the gov call their leader and discuss with them ammicably before treating them like animal and now the gov has make up to 100 families in sadness
the truth, there is no justification for their murderous act,it is a very wicked and evil act, those involved must to be brought to book. However, the governor and his fulani kingsmen have a big question to answer!why are the fulanis shielded from the law?why do they always have their way?why is the north always quiet to crimes committed by these fulani cattle(gun)men?...for some time now,the minority tribes of the north has been on constant attack and is quite natural that they will develop ways of protecting theirselfs from the animalistic acts of fulani gun men, this may just be the beginning!the governor must also be held responsible for this.Hope they families of the dead policemen must be adequately compensated and taking care of,since these men died on active service.RIP brothers.

CyberG: He has only managed to cobble up a list of 22 people, some of whom are totally irrelevant to the discussion. You can help him out because it seems you lot are trying to re-write history just like achebe tried and failed in re-writing the history of your catastrophic loss of the war.
..when i ve nt even moved into the realm of billionaires and sports men from Anambra state and you are already panting, our billionaires long list,is a story for another day!Imagine that they so called Ogun list, has disgraced and battered men like the crying general Oladipo Diya and in your brothers submission he forgot to put that Abiola was a serial coupist and his effort in sinking a ship load of bible in the atlantic ocean, whom in fact is one of those that kept Nigeria in its plundered state.also Ernest Shonekon that ran out of office in the middle of the night and left the common wealth of this nation,in the hand of a military junta or is it Tai solarin who sold his conscience and betrayed the civil society, over a plate of porridge offered by the Babangida administration,or Obasanjo who stands out as the most corrupt leader ever to bestride earth and Adenugas effort in fronting for the Babangidas!how about Awolowo,a candidate of international court of justice, for his crime against humanity and his devilish penchant for genocidal crime against women and children during Biafran war!Better tag your list as 'names of Ogun states inglorious bastards'!in higher climes, these men will all be doing time in the prisons!
PoliticsRe: Ogun State: The Bastion And Pioneer Of The Best In Nigeria by AustineE1: 6:36am On May 06, 2013
emmatok: And how come the SW, specifically OGUN state currently host more higher Institutions(private and public) than the SE.
Why can't the SE build more higher Institutions for their so call demanding youths.

You see why I hate urban myths.
...my problem with your people is that they make unsubstantiated claims and go around presenting such figures as factual!that you host more higher institutions that are basically nt owned by your Ogun people,is nt something to be boastful about, for example how many Ogun indigenes are in Convanent University?Do you know why some private institutions owned by churches or other establishments was built in Ogun,is because of availability of cheaper land and proximity to Lagos, which is home to about 16million Nigerians or more!...just like Kaduna and Jos plateau state host more federal and military institutions than others, shld the plateau or Kaduna man be boastful about it as theirs?it smacks off stupidity!
BTW i challenge you to name the universities in Ogun, which you claim its more than that of the entire East!i can authoritatively tell you that Imo alone,Enugu also or even Anambra alone has as much universities as Ogun!am seriously waiting for your list of universities in Ogun,
